"Ordered classic bruschetta and dough sticks for starter, bruschetta came without any balsamic reduction on top, when asked, they said they had run out, but never mentioned it whilst placing the order. The dough sticks were cooked nice however the accompanying dips of ‘garlic butter’ turned out to be garlic margarine and the ‘tomato pizza sauce’ turned out to be literal ketchup, which ruined the entire starter. When this was brought up to a member of staff, the manager was notified however the items were not knocked off the final bill, the main course was lovely, no complaints apart from maybe too much sauce with the pasta dish, but that is being picky. Whilst the main was lovely, the lack of an attempt to rectify the starter problem left us with a bad taste in our mouth and I’m not sure we will visit again"

"Absolutely amazing food. I was not expecting the meal to be as good as it was. Mac cheese is always a terrible idea at restaurants as it is usually bland and dry but I took a chance and it really paid off! Best mac cheese I've ever had, it was creamy, cheesy and filling. The starter (goats cheese and sun dried tomato) and dessert (chocolate fudge brownie sundae with salted caramel ice cream) that I had were also really really good. Great value for money, a nicely decorated place and the staff were lovely."

"I had eaten twice in a waggoner than vegetarian, so I knew they had a really extensive and tasty veggie menu, but I was still a bit nervous to go more vegan than I had to eat both earlier times with naughty. it turns out that they have a complete and delicious vegan menu! there are 5 or 6 starters including a vegan suppe of the day that was beautiful. they were so apologetic that they have no milk-free spread for the broth I think they would normally. the moving mountain burger was really nice and the wedges with which he came were beautiful. I could not believe that there are four correct puddings and options of the milk free cream or ice. I had warm chocolate fudge cake with milk free ice cream and it was the most beautiful dessert I had been going since the vegan. my 2 table attendants are carnivores and enjoyed their meal (not vegan), so it is a good place to go when they have a mixed group to please. all my foods came with a flag in it, so the kitchen clearly put effort to call their vegan foods and to handle it appropriately. I am also tee-total and found the soft drinks menu really extensive. they have not only the usual softdrinks 0% beer, wine and apple wine. it was not allowed to give him 5 stars as it is not completely vegan."

"Myself, my girlfriend 2 others visited this place on Friday night on walking in the smell of damp and stale water was shocking, there was a manky hand written sign on the door stating that the place was due to close in November due to retirement ! When we was shown to our table the smell was shocking there was damp patches above our table and it was clear to see vents had been installed to allow air to flow along the joists however this meant the stinking air was released into the dining area. On ordering drinks we was told certain drinks where not available which was not a good start. I have to say the food was not too bad but far from the best I have had. My girlfriend and her friend went to the toilets, which had no lights, where dirty and smelt dreadful nearly causing my girlfriend to be physically sick. I went into the gents and it was the same no basic cleaning had been done in my opinion for a long time ! I personally think this place is not closing due to retirement but more down to the fact it needs a lot of money spending on it and they clearly do not want to bother, the staff member who served us was only a young girl and said she did not take food orders and she was only there to serve drinks so we had to wait to have our order taken. It is a good thing that this is closing down as it is dreadful place to sit and eat. It cost us over £100 for food and drinks and is over priced in my opinion !"

"Absolutely superb restaurant, we loved it from first going in to leaving. Was lovely and quiet when we arrived so was greeted by staff straight away and given the choice of anywhere we liked to sit. They asked us for drinks and were so fast in bringing them. They gave us more than enough time to choose our food so we didn’t feel pressured to order, and I was amazed at how fast and well done the darling bread starter was out! Our pasta dishes were only 5 minutes behind the pizza so not long at all, amazing service. When we were all done the table was cleaned up swiftly and asked for any more food, but we were not rushed out when we didn’t want anything else which I did really appreciate. Just an all round gorgeous building with amazing food and drink options. Superb staff that want to help and keep everything so clean and tidy."

"Came here for brunch today. We were told to choose a seat rather than be seated. We were not offered a menu or told how/where to order. I then asked a waitress who told me to order at the counter. Apparently the only food you can order is what is out on display. There were some paninis and sandwiches in the fridge and cakes at the counter. I wanted a simple cheese and ham panini but this was not an option unfortunately. I ordered a chicken tikka and cheese panini. It was delicious to be fair, but not really what I was after. Also I normally like a side salad but this was not an option either. My daughter had a scone with jam and cream. Was glad to see that the cream was proper clotted cream. All in all the food was really good but a little expensive for what it was I thought. It didn’t fill me up. The decor was lovely and there was a good atmosphere. Staff were nice and service was prompt. Food nicely presented."

"I arrived at 7:30 last Saturday. It wasn’t by any means full. Asked for a table. Twenty minutes before my order of three tapas type food items was taken. Forty minutes later, two items arrived, had to wait another ten minutes for the third item by which time the first two had gone cold. Qualify of food good but ruined by **** service. 1st and last visit."

"I have been to Aroma several times. My family and I went last weekend to celebrate our daughter's 16th birthday. The staff were all fantastic and very polite. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We have no complaints. They offer a great deal on Sundays - £15 per person for a starter, curry, and a side. Service: exceptional. Meal type: Dinner."

"sat for her Sunday buffet. they can choose from a selection of the main meal times. I had mixed masala, the tbh had a lot of food coloring, but lack of taste. the day we visited the weather was appalling and the conservatory was out of power due to leaks. it also seemed as if the main heating was out of effect, since portable gas heating was in use, these heatings have a gas-like odor. all in all that eating was hot on a cold winter day, so they meet the place all at a reasonable price for what they get. would we go again? I'm not afraid to prefer it's the agra for us."

"Just visited Nines tonight for the first time to try to banish the post Christmas blues. Historically we've found it's usually very quiet just after Christmas but Nines was pleasantly busy as the night went by. The service was very good with the 2 girls there on the night were very polite and helpful. We ordered chipolata sausages for a starter which came with a delicious honey mustard sauce, 2 pizzas and cheesy chips then ice cream with Baileys for dessert. All the food was very good, well served and very tasty. All the main courses are Pizzas cooked in an authentic fired oven. If you want anything other than a Pizza this won't be the restaurant for you be we thought it was really great. They had a few meal deals with certain options and extensive bar and cocktails menu. It was our first visit but will most likely not be our last."

"I had a fantastic first experience at Choi's. The portion sizes were generous and the service was excellent. I ordered takeout for dinner and the food was top-notch. The atmosphere at the restaurant was also very pleasant. Overall, I would rate Choi's a 5 out of 5 for both food and service. I would definitely recommend dining here."

"Have visited before and it`s always been fine. This time, though, it was a different picture. Booked a table for 7pm, but when we got there just before 7 there were people standing in the doorway sheltering from the rain. Knowing we had a booking, we squeezed past them, only to be confronted by the `Manager` telling us to stay outside as there were no tables free. When we explained we had a booking for 7pm, he repeated the message that there were no tables free and said we would have to wait outside. Shocked by the situation and realising we were way down his list of people waiting for a table, we left. Sadly can`t comment on the food because we didn`t get to sample any. A really poor way to deal with Customers. Won`t be returning."

"six of us visited the restaurant for a meal before we watched the tribute band talon. we all had a wonderful meal (food method), but we found the service a little as when eating in the fawlty towers, we found it amusing and it did not pamper. our meal, but the servier staff did not seem to have a hint. if I was a betting man, I would suspect that most of them were new) to be at play, forget some of the drinks, do not supply glasses for the wine, lack of necessary cutlery, eat brought to various times, etc. eating and drinking was a high standard and it was enjoyed by everyone. (braised beef, whitby scampi, spicy noodles). we also thought that the last bill is very reasonable because the amount of food and alcohol we consume. the restaurant is now called uptro and we will definitely eat a pre theatre again the next time when we participate in a show in the mechanics. we would definitely recommend this restaurant."

"The restaurant has stopped serving food as the owner has suddenly closed the kitchen without notice. They were fully booked for Christmas Day but let everyone down without providing an explanation. This is a clear example of poor management - one minute it's open, the next it's closed. This is not the way to run a business, unless the goal is to drive it into the ground. It's disappointing because this pub was known for its delicious homemade food, good atmosphere, and overall nice environment. However, the management is definitely lacking. The price per person was typically between £20-30."

"We went for a walk out of Barley towards the sculpture trail and then back to eat here. Luckily the pub is dog friendly. I struggled with the menu as I have an onion allergy but the waitress on the night couldn't have been more helpful. She listened , was empathic and even asked the chef what I could and couldn't have. I had the gammon which was delicious. Millionaire shortbread for dessert finished the meal off. The decor in the pub is beautiful and reminded us of a log cabin . We will be back . Highly recommended. Nearby activities: Great walks on the doorstep. Really cute village. Food drinks: Fabulous . You won't be disappointed."

"I recommend the booking as they were busy, but we had luck that a few people went. very nice eating and well presented. Make sure to check the day special board. the main thing was over £11/£12 mark. we enjoyed all our meal times. I had a vegan curry with half jasmine and half chips. we had also ordered a side of chips that did not arrive and had to ask at the end. I thought the desserts were over the price £6.95 and the part did not justify the price. they did not have the vegan/dairy free ice. absolutely beautiful, friendly staff and helpful help."

"This place is absolutely amazing! My partner and I visited over the weekend with our newborn while visiting family and we were blown away. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made me feel very comfortable despite my anxiety. The interior decor is beautiful and perfect for Instagram photos. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts and luxury hot chocolates, which were beautifully presented and generously portioned. This place is definitely worth a visit - we would make the trip from Southport every weekend just to come back. Highly recommend!"

"We got married at the Higher Trapp on the 11th July, and the whole experience from start to finish was flawless. The wedding planners were so helpful and could answer all my questions, and really helped put my mind at ease. The communication and organisation was fantastic, they obviously know what they are doing and it shows. The décor is beautiful, so much thought has gone into it, and the honeymoon suite is fantastic. There is so much included in the package that I really had to do very little. The whole day went so smoothly and even the weather was kind to us, so we could get married outside. The food was delicious, all the guests were so impressed, the blade of beef just melted in the mouth and the portions were impressive. The service staff were excellent and so efficient, everyone was served within minutes. DJ Johnny was superb and played songs that kept me on the dance floor all night, and was happy to do requests. We would like to thank all the staff who helped make the day so special."

"Came here for a meal. food was okay but the guy who serves the food made my fiancée feel very uncomfortable the man at the front the same man who serves you, from as soon as we walked in, constantly looking at her and just stood their at the end of our table, looking rite down her top from when we walked in and then when serving , he kept coming over to our table and just standing their. I laughed it off at first but my partner really wanted to leave the place because of him, he came over and asked to go on out phone to leave a review be for we even ate, I said ill leave The review but he took phone from my partners hands and went on her photos, I noticed this and took the phone off him rite away and said I have photos of my woman on their I don't want anyone to see and he smurked so the phone got took rite back off him , he's lucky he didn't get a smack in he's face. 100 percent wont be going here again just because of he's pervited ways. then says what do i do for a job. that's none of he's concern he just seemed to want to stay at the table and she was the reason why. i went to the shop for beers and they said are you coming back please come back. very unusual behaviour. the boss needs to fire this man its possibly he's family member. plus we had to make room on our own table, when the food arrived we had a few bites and left to eat else where because of this man, don't go here with your woman because i promise you she will feel so uncomeatable. if anyone else has had this experiance post it. my fiancee doesnt drink but did that day for this reason! ps i hope you read this your a man of discust who shouldnt be in that type of business"
