"We went last night to try the new menu, friendly welcome from the young lady behind the bar , I order the Wexford chicken and my partner had the fish and chips , both meals were very delicious , the chicken was moist and tasty and the sauce was excellent, the fish was fresh and the batter was excellent nice and crispy the only down side to the food was the chips which were very delicious but not enough of them for an adequate adults portion, I we decided to order desserts , so he had apple crumble and custard which he said was delicious although it was a massive portion and again served with the smallest amount of custard, I had the Eaton mess(alcohol free) again delicious just missing a little more of the meringue, Over all a vey nice experience although service side could do with a little more attention , no quality check during or after the meal , mains plates still on the table when deserts arrived , and no thank you or goodbye when leaving"

Just been for Sunday Lunch with friends, 2 courses £13.95, although they were short staffed we didn't have to wait long at all for our food and it was excellent, hot, good sized portions and great value. Will definitely go back again soon.

The food and drinks at this restaurant were very good. It was not bad at all. The average price per person is between £20-30. The food and service both received a rating of 4 out of 5, while the atmosphere was rated a 5 out of 5. I recommend trying the Children's Fish and Chips dish. View menu

I had an amazing meal at the Hampton Inn on Sunday, May 22, 2022. The staff provided excellent service and the food was top-notch. It seemed like the dishes were prepared with care and the portions were generous. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. A big thank you to everyone at the Hampton Inn for a wonderful dining experience.

We had a lovely family dinner at Hampton Inn. We booked a table near the screen so the men could watch the final day of the Premiership. The staff were attentive and friendly. The Brat-Rind dinner was fantastic, and our daughter loved the beef tenderloin. Our granddaughter enjoyed the handmade chicken nuggets. We were impressed with the new chef and will definitely be back to Hampton Inn.

The restaurant has stopped serving food as the owner has suddenly closed the kitchen without notice. They were fully booked for Christmas Day but let everyone down without providing an explanation. This is a clear example of poor management - one minute it's open, the next it's closed. This is not the way to run a business, unless the goal is to drive it into the ground. It's disappointing because this pub was known for its delicious homemade food, good atmosphere, and overall nice environment. However, the management is definitely lacking. The price per person was typically between £20-30.

"Myself, my girlfriend 2 others visited this place on Friday night on walking in the smell of damp and stale water was shocking, there was a manky hand written sign on the door stating that the place was due to close in November due to retirement ! When we was shown to our table the smell was shocking there was damp patches above our table and it was clear to see vents had been installed to allow air to flow along the joists however this meant the stinking air was released into the dining area. On ordering drinks we was told certain drinks where not available which was not a good start. I have to say the food was not too bad but far from the best I have had. My girlfriend and her friend went to the toilets, which had no lights, where dirty and smelt dreadful nearly causing my girlfriend to be physically sick. I went into the gents and it was the same no basic cleaning had been done in my opinion for a long time ! I personally think this place is not closing due to retirement but more down to the fact it needs a lot of money spending on it and they clearly do not want to bother, the staff member who served us was only a young girl and said she did not take food orders and she was only there to serve drinks so we had to wait to have our order taken. It is a good thing that this is closing down as it is dreadful place to sit and eat. It cost us over £100 for food and drinks and is over priced in my opinion !"
