"Our first visit was for Sunday lunch, and we were informed that my wife, who has an allergy to rapeseed oil, would not be able to have the roast potatoes. However, the chef prepared a special dish of roast potatoes and a rapeseed-free Yorkshire pudding for her. The meal was fantastic, with excellent food and meat quality, and top-notch service. The pricing was very reasonable, with two courses costing under £10.00. The only minor criticism would be that the starters seemed a bit dated in their offerings, but they were still acceptable.
Although some may be deterred by the fact that the Yew Tree Restaurant is part of the Golf Club, it is open to the public and does not require membership. We have since dined at the restaurant multiple times for dinner and more Sunday lunches, all of which have been as good as our first experience. The restaurant caters to the Golf Club, so any drinks must be purchased through the Golf Club.
Overall, a visit to the Yew Tree Restaurant is well worth it. Don't let the association with Rhuddlan Golf Club deter you, as they are welcoming to all."
