"My regular eating place, around 3 times a week.. You can get a lovely Sausage or Bscon sandwich, with a free cup of coffee or tea- starting from only £2.20. There are also a variety of daily fresh cream cakes, bread, etc. Pasties and pies are also very popular here, including the only place in Prestatyn to still serve the traditional GIANT Oggie! The bakery, is situated in a good location on the High Street, with a fantastic Antique and Collectables shop right next door. The premises are always spotlessly clean, with staff Leanne, Michelle, Sue, Chris always looking after you. This bakery is a fabulous Credit to Prestatyn, with other outlets in Rhyl, and Talacre.. where all the mouth watering goodies are freshly baked. All in all, this bakery is really a MUST to visit- If you are in town, and feeling like a refreshment- or to purchase something nice to take home and eat. Long may this bakery stay in Prestatyn, for I at least.. Would be lost without it!"

"Amazing chippy! Visited today with my family, 16 of us with an average age of 31, that’s 496 years of chip shop eating experience right there! We have travelled far and wide and never found a better chip or piece of battered fish. Let me just reiterate that there were 16 of us, that’s 159 fingers (it would have been 160 if it hadn’t had been for that unfortunate fishing accident with Uncle Bryn . The staff were fabulous, I didn’t catch the name of the lady who served me (let’s say it was Sandra , she couldn’t have been more helpful and supportive in what could have been a very traumatic situation. The fish was battered to within an inch of its life (actually the best crispy batter and fresh fish we have ever had! , the chips were perfect. All freshly cooked and full of flavour. We highly recommend and will definitely be back (for breakfast, if Sandra let’s us!!"

Will definitely be ordering again thank you ?? pictures don’t do the portion size justice!"

"If you’re looking for beautifully home cooked Sunday lunch then give the Dudley Arms a visit. Although we live on the coast the drive to the Dudley Arms is a picturesque one in amongst beautiful scenery. On arrival you get a warm welcome, attentive service and beautifully cooked food. We had a roast beef and toast lamb mix that melted in your mouth with delicious gravy and there was a range of desserts that were so delicious it was difficult to just choose one. We all had something different but everyone was as delicious as the next. The Dudley Arms also has luxurious accommodation should you wish to spend a few days exploring the wonderful surroundings. Will definitely try that next time."

"We did our usual trick of working our way through a list of dog friendly cafes in the area for breakfast, this time caravanning near Corwen; and of course the best of the bunch was the one on the last day of our stay! Had we found this on day one, or just gone through the list backwards, we would not have needed another cafe to try. I confess to a moment of doubt when we arrived at the Country Cooks' cafe, its spick and span appearance and lay out reminded me of the good old Little Chef's of my youth, convenient but nothing to write home about. Well, I'm not writing home but am writing about the Cafe; a warm friendly welcome and free breakfast, but only for the dog, we had to pay for ours! I had no qualms about paying for it either, a traditional fried breakfast and lots of it, thick cut large rashers of bacon, no corner cutting on the choice of sausage and don't tell the wife, or doctor, but the fried bread was beautiful and unless I was trying to convince myself it wasn't overly greasy, oil laden. A fantastic end to a break away that was troubled by struggling to find a breakfast we'd want to return to that was within striking distance of the caravan parc. We found what we were looking for, but too late to take advantage of it's retainability status."

"This is a great cafe unfortunately away from the main shopping area in the town. If it was nearer the main shopping area I imagine it would be packed all day. Joe and his wife are extremely friendly and make great home cooked food. I had home made steak pie with mash and peas and it was a Desperate Dan style experience. I say home cooked but it 's rare these days that you get food this well made in your average home. Do yourselves a favour and walk 5 mins up the road from the beach and have a good dinner or all day breakfast."

"We often visit the upstairs coffee area and our recent experience on July 3, 2023 was extremely disappointing. Despite arriving at 12:10 pm with many unoccupied tables, every table was filled with dirty dishes, trays, and tissues. The servers' attitudes were also lacking. We were told our drinks would take 10 to 15 minutes, and when they finally arrived, there were no spoons for the coffees. My wife had to clear and wipe a table herself to sit down, and when she asked for a spoon, she was told none were available. She managed to find a small wooden stirrer instead. The table we sat at overlooked an empty cake display and a dishwashing machine, as well as an overflowing rubbish bin with food remnants and tissues spilling onto the floor. Only two staff members were on duty for the first 20 minutes until another finally arrived to assist. In my opinion, the café should have been closed for at least an hour for a thorough clean-up, or for the rest of the day. We will be avoiding this café until all issues, including staff shortages, are addressed. It is clear that the current staff are overwhelmed and unable to properly maintain hygiene standards."

"This restaurant is warm, welcoming, and dog-friendly. It is a hidden gem with delicious home-cooked food at great value. We were blown away by the quality of the dishes during both of our visits. The menu offers plenty of choices, all cooked to perfection. The specialty pies were delicious, and the chunky chips were fantastic. The prices were very reasonable, coming in at less than £12.50 per person for two courses and drinks. This restaurant is outstanding value and definitely deserves 5 stars."

"I was in here on Thursday 25th and whilst in the queue waiting to be served (for at least 15 minutes) the lady on the till asked for help from the people in the back and another young lady came out to help. However the ladies cooking (whom I later got the names of Val and Caz apparently) were extremely rude and were shouting rather loudly at the ladies on the till saying they didn't need 2 people. By this time I had been waiting almost 25 minutes in the queue so it was obvious that they did need 2 people on the tills. The ladies on the till were extremely friendly and I can't fault them, they were working as fast as possible and as fast as the machines seemed to allow they were positive and friendly despite the awful tirade coming from the 2 cooks. There was also a lady serving meals (her name was Moira as I could see from the badge) and upon returning back to the kitchens she was slamming the table numbers down on the section where they seemed to be put, at one point almost taking a gentlemens head off. This awful attitude by these 3 ladies will now make me think twice before returning here, something I will also communicate to friends and family. There is obviously a serious need to train these women on customer service skills as this was atrocious and rude not something I expect from Sainsburys!"

"M S Cafe in Prestatyn have earnt their 3 stars through cleanliness their quick service, but the lack of certain aspects their quality cost them 2.The lack of menu choices was quite disappointing, there isn't really a lot (not enough to class it as a cafe) and what is on offer is quite expensive but basic.I asked for beans on toast (which wasn't on the menu as a whole... beans usually come with a jacket potato and the toast usually comes on its own). They were nice enough to make it up for me which I appreciated. (Although why isn't such a basic meal on a cafe menu?)As they typed in the items onto the till I noticed that the beans came up to £1.50 and the toast came up to £2! At that price I expected I big portion...well...I was given 3 semi-circle shaped pieces of small toast a tiny bowl of beans. The toast was rock hard, cold and came with no butter. The beans were of a similar quality: room temperature and lacked any taste.I didn't complain at the time as my mum was treating me to lunch so I thought it was rude to complain, I had a bad cold so didn't want the hassle, and the till staff seemed very unapproachable. I wouldn't dare to complain.Very disappointing on the whole, I wouldn't rush back and I wouldn't really recommend it either."

"We came to this restaurant on a whim while on our way somewhere else and we are so glad we did. The atmosphere was great, the landlord was really friendly, and the Lamb Roast Dinner was amazing! The roast and mashed potatoes, peas, carrots, cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire pudding... and the meat was delicious! You can choose between lamb, chicken, or beef. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. We had two dinners, one soft drink, one coffee, and one hot pudding for just under £20. A bonus for us was that they were showing live rugby on Sky. We would recommend this place for all ages, they even cater for children."

"Came here as a party of two. Y Pantri has cleaned up it's decor a lot since my last visit a few years ago, everything appears clean and fresh and the hygiene rating on the door states 5/5 so all good. This is a basic cafe so don't expect too much although i found the service from the young lady to be genuine friendly and she did go out of her way to assist our party. I ordered a coffee which i found to be nice enough. The cheeseburger i ordered however was ok as a snack but if you were expecting this to fill you up you will be disappointed. Said burger was wafer thin and pretty tasteless with what appeared to be a cheap processed processed cheese slice on top of the burger. Sanitiser was available (and freely available) as soon as we entered the cafe which i found was a plus point. Customers were a friendly bunch too. No parking available here but there is a car park a short walk away. Would i come here again, yes but probably just for a coffee."

"We are visiting this lovely part or north wales and thought we’d try out one of the local Chinese takeaway as we love Chinese food! Yes choice is limited so we went on gut instincts which was between this and another place down the road! We spent roughly £25 for the three of us! Hand on heart this is the worst food I have ever wasted money on. Firstly, everything tasted old, not fresh, under seasoned overcooked and generally poorly thrown together. You can tell when a local takeaway only exist simply to make money and does not care much about quality, flavour, reputation or generally what they sell to the public! I honestly cannot describe how appalling bad this food was. I can forgive crap cooking but this was more than crap cooking, the quality of the food was exceptionally poor!!! Before I list the individual issues with our order, the finally and most important point is that I had the dodgiest tummy and crap my life out for 2 3 days straight after eating this garbage.... albeit most went into the bin!! We ordered I will post pictures): 1. Sweet Sour Chicken the ‘chicken’ was deep fried in an extremely thick greasy batter with the sauce on the side!! Odd when I bit into the chicken it was dry and taste slightly off with a texture akin to beef jerky 2. Salt Pepper chicken did not taste of salt or pepper.... extremely oily and again the chicken was very rubbery!! 3. Siu Mai Dim sum omg, this was so awful it’s probably why I’ve written this review! It taste off, and still cold on the inside when I bit into it. I genuinely gagged and spat in back into the container! Absolutely unforgivable!! Awful not fit for human consumption 4. Egg fried rice : the rice was so old the grains tough had started to breakdown! Heaven knows how long this had been cooked for... there was no evidence of eggs used!! Just a disgusting brown coloured crap which was completely flavourless and old! 5. Chicken chow mien: should be chicken chow nasty! Good luck finding the noodles! Bland, tough, old and tasteless chicken pieces swimming in a questionable brown liquid with an odd smell! If this place was going for the award for how awful I am using awful as I am not allowed to curse) they could get it then I genuinely think they’d surpassed themselves!! All in all, ignore this review at your peril good luck!"

"Hubby and me popped in here yesterday afternoon Wednesday) for a sweet snack. The shop is situated behind the statue in the square. The lady serving behind the counter was pleasantly helpful. There was only 1 small egg custard tart left £1.08) so I chose that. Hubby wanted the large Danish pastry £1.35). He was able to pay for them both £2.43) by card/contactless. The savoury pies/pasties smelled good. We ate the cakes in the park around the corner. My fresh custard tart did not have a soggy bottom and went down a treat! Hubby enjoyed his delicious Danish pastry. However, I thought they were both over-priced. Printed on the back of the bakery's paper bag was a short history of the family business which has been going for over 180 years. It said that all its products were hand-crafted and made with local ingredients so I suppose this is why their prices are dearer than the norm."
