"I booked The Canonbury for a roast dinner with my friends, and was really disappointed. I wouldn 't recommend coming here for a roast dinner. Booking I had booked a table and upon arrival I was told to either check the outdoor tables for my name or speak to a member of staff in the restaurant area. After searching all tables (none of which had names on them) I approached the restaurant to ask about my table booking. I was asked 'Where did you book? Which table? ' which I replied to say 'I don 't know, can you help me? '. I was told they needed to speak to another member of staff. Nobody then came to see us so we had to just take a random table. Food It has a beautiful garden but as soon as our food arrived, the flies and wasps descended on our meals. Obviously this is out of the pubs control however, after finishing our food the waiters did not appear to collect our plates, meanwhile we had to sit with a swarm of flies and wasps surrounding our plates. It was so unpleasant for so long that we had to pick up our plates and take them inside. Upon bringing our plates in, the staff were on their phones and just looked at us, and said Yeah the flies are bad . No acknowledgment that we were doing their job, and they didn 't offer to collect our other plates just let us go back and bring back further plates. The food itself was very disappointing, it was VERY dry and tasted like it had been reheated. We left half of the food because it was so dry. After asking the staff if they had any horseradish sauce, we were just told, 'no '. Not, 'Sorry we have run out/ don 't have that at the moment '. Drinks service was very slow and we waited 20 minutes for a drink after ordering on the ap. Broken glass outside unfortunately another customer smashed a glass outside. Upon going inside to ask if it could be cleared, the staff responded to say 'I don 't work outside '. Meanwhile there were toddlers and dogs roaming around. Also, slightly embarrassing that The Canonbury can 't spell 'Welcome '....."

"We enjoyed our first taste of Georgian food at Tbilisi restaurant. The badrijani (aubergine starter was very good, but I would definitely recommend a bread to go with it in our case the acharuli khachapuri (flatbread with cheese and egg was the highlight of the meal. For our mains my partner had the chakapuli (lamb with tarragon and I the satsivi (chicken in walnut sauce. They were quite pleasant but perhaps not perfectly to our taste we are not used to Georgian food, of course. They were both served hot but in very cold bowls so within a short time the food was also cold. Although I have since read that satsivi literally means cold dish and is usually served cold, I must say that I didn 't find it particularly appetising once it had cooled down. The side of pureed rice was a good accompaniment but I found the salad rather too salty again, this may be where my taste differs from the typical Georgian palate. For drinks my partner enjoyed a glass of the Saperavi red wine very fruity and we each tried a Georgian lemonade. The pear flavour was delicious and the tarragon flavour certainly interesting and a lovely bright green! Finally I had a slice of a delicious moist cake with honey and walnuts. Overall we enjoyed our first foray into Georgian food and would definitely come back again as long as the bowls are warmed next time! PS the prices on the website looked to good to be true, and they are expect to pay £1 3 more per item than the prices shown online at the moment."
