we booked, but when we arrived, they had no table for us and were turned away many other people who had also kept up. will not go back in view of the height of the deorganisation.

My friend and I shared the chateaubriand and were very impressed by the portion size as well as the quality of the meat. The Chinon red that we chose to go with it was equally good.

Always reliable...always good value...bit noisy but shows how popular this restaurant is....not really surprising that their neighbouring restaurant ,Bellanger , recently gave up the unequal struggle. View menu

very pleasant lunchtime meet with a friend of many years. Eating excellent and efficient served the waitress was a little frosty and has no warm or much effort, she actually does as I back into my pin in the machine she clumsily kept on. other than a restaurant that I return happily to.

It was a busy Tuesday evening@ the restaurant.our starters smoked salmon and chicory salad were decent and our mains bakes bream and lamb were very tasty.the small side of roasted beetroot and pumpkin was also nice as well as the almond tart with cinnamon ice cream. A nice meal as always.

We enjoyed a very good pre theatre meal only time for two courses. The starters came extremely quickly which gave us the chance to savour them properly. There was then a very long break before the mains arrived probably due in part to the fact that one of our party had not arrived until after starters were served, so I assume mains were held back. However they were served soon enough that we did not have to rush them. We had salmon excellent; gluten free pancake also excellent ; and chicken in mushroom sauce too much salt.
