"I visited this evening with some friends for a long overdue catch up. Staff were very welcoming, lovely atmosphere. Very friendly locals. The food was really good, 8 guys all ate well and everyone enjoyed their meals. Clearly, thought has been given to using local suppliers and the menu offered a good selection so everyone was happy. Good selection of beers on tap including the local ale brewed in Ilfracombe Beach Blond. I was offered a sample and over the evening enjoyed a few. So pleased not to be the designated driver. Will definitely be returning soon and happy to recommend to all."

"Lovely cafe close to the beach in the centre of Coombe Martin, right next door to the butchers. Visiting in mid-January we were not expecting anything to be open, maybe a pub and a village shop or two, but not alot else so to find the Harbour Deli Coffee shop being open was a pleasant surprise. A nice cafe serving hot cold meals and snacks, tea, coffee and hot chocolate as well as cold drinks. Sandwiches freshly made whilst you wait. Friendly staff, impeccably clean and nicely spaced out seating and tables, certainly not cramped. Dogs welcome as well, so we sat on a table looking out onto the street. Prices were very reasonable it was certainly very popular too ."

"If you want brilliant service come to Rising Sun. You first go in as customers and leave as friends. The staff can’t do enough for you, make you feel welcome, accommodate the requests of a toddler and engage in conversation they are genuine lovely people. We had delicious Sunday Roasts, then went back everyday since! Ambience is very cosy and warm with good music in the background. Thanks for making our stay so memorable."

"We’ve been coming down to Lynton and Lynmouth for years, eaten in most places and have always wanted to try this lovely tea room and cafe in Lynton, The Picnic Box. Our family of 6 enjoyed their wonderful Traditional Ploughman’s lunch with a selection of meats, local cheese and a slice of homemade quiche (which was delicious , lots of sandwiches and homemade soups catered to the whole family’s taste. Their cakes on the counter kept tempting us throughout lunch, so we had to order a few slices to try out. All homemade and absolutely delicious. We had a freshly made slice of Caramel Shortbread, a cream tea (the scones were so fluffy and light! and a slice of Chocolate Orange cake Mary Berry would be proud of! We will definitely be back, it’s a must stop for lunch in Lynton!"

"What a surprise to find such good quality food in a pub in Braunton at last and even more for such a reasonable price. The menu is fairly short but beautifully balanced. a choice of several starters, five mains and a few sweets. Only the two of us and we both had the chicken chorizo which was exquisite. The chef, Dan, knows how to cook. Other things which we hope to see when next in Braunton are the arancini which we saw and also heard lovely comments about from the next table and the sticky pork. A nice selection of wines, beer straight from the barrel in perfect condition and the prompt service by the landlord, Grant, was friendly, funny and most welcoming. What a gem to find which we are going to visit again when next in the area."

"The food selection is extremely limited, so if you have children, it's not worth going. We spent a lot of money and left feeling hungry. I'm sure tapas in London is cheaper than 8 pounds for such small dishes. If you're just looking to have a drink and an olive, then it's fine, but for a family meal, it's hard to find something that everyone will enjoy. Tapas is supposed to be Spanish street food, not priced like a fancy London restaurant. We won't be returning."

"What an unexpected treat! As the cynical Londoners we are, we arrived to the restaurant extremely skeptical, but oh gosh how we changed our mind. The food is truly excellent, such a wide variety of Nepalese and Indian dishes all cooked to perfection. SO tasty! And the service is equally good. Cherry on the cake, it's also very reasonably priced. I don't often leave reviews, but to any other skeptical tourists around, I can't recommend it enough ;"
"Came for brunch on the strength of a previous excellent visit, but it ends at noon and we were a good deal later. So we had lunch instead, and it was even better! The best bowl of chilli beef nachos I've ever had, and a truly excellent Buddha bowl, both dishes leaving us very content. The decor is very pleasing, the atmosphere relaxed and service friendly, helpful and efficient. One of us requires gluten-free food and they accommodated that easily. Cannot recommend too highly."

"We ordered a large amount of food for delivery from The Hub, including pizzas, garlic bread, and chips. The online ordering process was simple, with a comments section for dietary requirements. Two of our group are vegan, and the restaurant accommodated this. Delivery times were on schedule, and the driver was friendly. We were pleased to see that the delivery car was electric. Unfortunately, the vegan pizzas were missing from the order, but the restaurant quickly rectified the mistake. They redelivered the entire order, along with a bottle of prosecco, showing exceptional customer service. The food was delicious, with tasty toppings and fresh pizza crust. The chips were particularly good. Well done, The Hub, your efforts deserve recognition."

"The Commodore Hotel, Instow, EX39 4JN is situated in an outstanding position in the village of Instow overlooking the coast and Appledore. The Commodore opened originally in 1968 by Bruce Patricia Woolaway, Gary’s parents and later their son Gary became the entrepreneur with the help of his family. Walking up to the Commodore through the grounds is enchanting with views across the beach. On entering the Commodore, Gary stands by the door with a welcoming friendly smile assisting a person to the table or room inside the hotel or outside, nothing is too much trouble for him. Gary is very friendly, good humoured and a Gold Star and such an excellent host with impeccable manners. Inside the Commodore you can feel the ambiance, friendliness and the warmth no other establishment in Instow can match this atmosphere that provides this welcoming feeling. The service is impeccable, all the staff are so friendly and jovial with Gary, the guests, in the restaurant or outside eating – It is such a pleasure to walk through the doors – it is like home. Hence the Commodore is our favourite place in Instow to sit and relax during the week with a lovely cup of fresh tea and whatever is on offer on the menu for that day, Jacket potato, sandwiches, soup, cake, teacake, cream tea, etc. Enjoying the atmosphere, the garden and the lovely scenery or chatting or just pleasantly sitting passing away the time in such an enjoyable charming venue. And on Sunday a person can enjoy the succulent lovely roast lunch. Fabulous place to visit, Gary and his staff will look forward to seeing you, the Commodore is highly recommended you won’t be disappointed."

"Had a meal with my wife at Seasons Brasserie, which is in the Park Hotel. The Park has recently had a refurb, so the place looks nice and modern. The Brends seem to over staff, and we arrived into a quiet dining area for an early booking. There was an army of staff to look after us. Service was very good. We both ate from the Table D`Hote. My wife very much enjoyed her Lamb and my Beef was good, however there were some issues. Pate starter was poor, with very little flavor and a strange choice of bread. Didnt finish it. Beef main tasted good, but the potato which came with it was lumpy. Desert was sickly sweet, and not to my taste to be fair I only ordered it so my wife could taste. My wife enjoyed her meal much more than I did, however based on this experience this isnt somewhere I would chose to spend my money again."

"Wow! My husband and I were staying around the corner and had walked past this delicious smelling pizzeria too many times we had to try it! We used the app to book as we were worried about timings/availability as it always seems so busy. It worked brilliantly. Super easy to use we loved that you can personalise your pizza or omit things (we requested no onions on one of our pizzas) . You can request a 15 minute time slot to collect and also pay with Apple Pay. All in all, an efficient, thorough, but simple booking process! We had a notification to say the pizzas were ready bang on time and my husband wandered to collect them. They are deep pan pizzas, so don’t expect a thin crust, typical Italian pizza. However, they are DELICIOUS! Loaded with your chosen topping and cooked to perfection. They’re also super filling! We would 100% recommend based upon the whole experience. Thank you!"

"My wife and I found this dog friendly pub after a lot of searching as it didn 't appear on Google Maps. We had to pay £1.50 in the nearby council car park as it was only 7:30pm. We found a table quite easily for a Sunday evening, and fortunately, food was being served. I can 't recall exactly what we had as I wasn 't given an itemised bill; just a VISA receipt. We shared a starter, my wife had the burger chips but didn 't finish it, and I had the pork and did, so had jam sponge dessert one of only 4, all of which were stodgy ."

"Overpriced food. Lack lustre. Very disappointing. £17 for a 'slice ' of vegetarian lasagne and some skinny fries. That 's it no salad, veg, peas?? Dry, pale cheese topping. Only just very warm, not hot. Where was the slightly caramelised top layer of gooey cheese and pasta edges? Solid chunks of hard courgettes. The skinny fries were the best bit. Soooo overpriced. Like a microwave meal only sliced. Hunters Chicken, same price. Did at least have a salad effort with it. Measliest bit of chicken, with limp bacon. Prime location. Get a chef in if charging these prices for café food! Sorry but you are taking the proverbial. Won 't return. Shame. And £7.50 for bog standard desert option? Didn 't go there."

"A small intimate restaurant. Doesn’t look much from the street but absolutely worth a visit. Must be some of the best food in Ilfracombe. Only 22 seats inside plus a few more outside if the weather is good so certainly quiet small. It is family run with family members front of house, waiting on tables and in the kitchen. The food is fresh and all meals are individually prepared. The food is absolutely first class and the ambience is warm and friendly. I unreservedly recommend this restaurant. An added bonus for us was the fact that it is dog friendly."

"absolutely wonderful meal and service by patent, nicole, nick and tom. we came twice for my birthday week stay on the grange. the place is lovely and the Tandoori chicken we had on the day was a delicious! On Thursday we had the beer that was stuffed with curry sauce and that was sensational. patent could not do enough for us, she was wonderful. she even delivered flowers and prosecco with julie (julie was also delightful) to our lodge on my birthday that had ordered my family home, and flowers from my man also. nicole was a beautiful young lady, very chatting and sociable, pleasant and happy. nick had a great feeling of humor and was also very professional and tom. Nothing was too much annoyed for her. we had a few delays between the meals, the kitchen was a little slow. but the dinners were nice. the customer service has worked out to ask for everyone. the wine menu was very good and also cocktails."

"Used to go here a lot with my mum over 20 odd years when on holiday in Ilfracombe, she loved it in here, had a look at the menu outside, quite pricey, but wanted a meal as a kinda nod to mum. Hadn 't been able to phone my kids to let them know wed got to Devon OK, as a poor signal/wi fi where we are staying, so asked at the bar if they had WiFi, the barman or owner, I don 't know which, turned to me and very loudly said, ' No, we expect people coming in here to eat and make conversation ' , he then encouraged the couple on the other side of the bar to join in his laughter at my request, we were then asked to sit near the bar and await a table, whilst he continued to pass comments about people on their phones whilst eating out to other customers at the Bar, I came to the very fast conclusion that he was rude, didn 't know my circumstances and could stick his food and attitude let 's hope when he reads this, he will contemplate why I was there, my simple request and not be so rude. Sorry mum, I tried xx"
