Lovely place ..food was good ...a long wait though only 1 very pleasant young lady behind the bar and 1 chef ..needs attention

Went here for Sunday lunch on 07/04/24. Great food and drinks provided. Staff friendly and efficient. Service fairly quick. Highly recommend

We stopped by for a few drinks on our way to Hele from Ilfracombe. The staff was very friendly and they had a great variety of beers to choose from. I would highly recommend this place.

I can’t recommend this pub highly enough ,we had to move our booking back due to travel problems at the last minute but the staff were so accommodating and friendly . The food was delicious and promptly brought out. If you are in the area go here!!!

Fairly busy outside for 6pm trade, most people had a dog with them. We only had drinks, not food. There was a serving hatch, which was very useful as dogs weren't allowed inside. I didn't notice any water bowls provided for dogs, but all pups seemed happy. View menu

I was really excited to have a meal at the pub after a wonderful day in Ilfracombe. When we arrived, we found out that food wasn't being served until 5pm, dogs weren't allowed inside, and there were no hot drinks available. The outside of the pub was charming with its thatched roof, but the inside didn't have the same old-world charm. The parking situation was also quite bad. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed and decided to leave.

Popped in for coffee ended up with wine. Ahh, watcha gonna do? Pretty little place with a gastro pub type menu (we didn't eat although I would love to try their blue cheese burger) and a decent wine list. Unusually for a Devon pub they don't allow dogs inside (my sister took hers home before joining us). It was too chilly to sit outside, I assume they'd be ok in the little garden. Staff were really cheerful and helpful. If you're driving I think you can park at the Ilfracombe Swimming Pool carpark opposite for free. I will definitely visit again to sample more of the interesting wine list and try that burger!

We went for an evening meal here because it said they were dog friendly. We had our 4 year grandson with us and found to our dismay when we arrived that dogs were not welcome inside. We all sat in the garden and ordered our food. It took 45 minutes for the food to arrive. It was cold outside by the time it came and our grandson was tired of waiting and no longer hungry. When we asked if the food was coming they said that they had a very small kitchen and the restaurant always took priority. I have to say the restaurant had only a couple of people eating so I'm not sure why we're weren't served quicker. We were all cold and fed up by the time the very average) food came.
