The spot is great for an amazing night out, the staff are lovely and efficient and the bar has a wide variety of drinks which are all great. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone travelling though North Devon

Will be avoiding in the future. Very expensive for what was an average, underwhelming meal. Service was poor, slow and there was food left from previous diners under the table. Overall a truly disappointing experience.

Dinner and breakfast the following day as staying at Sleep Squires. Really nice relaxed atmosphere, attentive, welcoming service and delicious food on both occasions. Had a fabulous time with delicious food. We were very well looked after. Would like to give our waitress, Amy, a special mention. She looked after our table, as well as others, very professionally. A definite asset for the Restaurant. I lost my ring but next day Amy phoned to say it had been found. She is a star. Thank you SQ for making our afternoon so very special. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

SQ is an asset to Braunton, Olly and Hayden are always very welcoming and make every effort to accommodate their customers. The atmosphere is warm and especially feels a safe and comfortable place to go either for coffee, lunch or cocktails and dinner, even if you are a female on your own. Not many places where this is the case! The menu has something to suit everyone and the prices are reasonable. I am Coeliac and they make sure there are suitable gluten free options at all times

I enjoyed nice food with 2 family members, we all had different meals and all were very nice, waitress who served us was very pleasant, however, overall the one hour wait time for food was extremely poor (only main meals ordered). We were not informed of the wait time at any point and did ask after around 40 minutes if our food was coming and was told it would be with us shortly. As stated the food was very good, but with no apology or explanation for the long wait, I would not consider eating here again. View menu

I use to love coming into this establishment with friends and family but after the last couple of recent visits, I am sad to say I won’t b returning. The way members of staff are spoken too is unacceptable and considering I see myself as a ‘local’ and that I come into this restaurant often, newer customers seemed to be ignored over what I assume is the ‘regulars’ (groups of older men with pints by the bar). I want to eat at a place where I feel like my presents is wanted not where I’m pushed into a corner and ignored.

I had the worst experience here! The manager who I believe was called Olly, was so rude to me and my friends on entry puffing and sighing as if he didn’t want to do his job or be there. We were taken to our table where we were again rudely sat and told if we wanted to be there to order at the bar. Some of the waitresses were lovely but I am really disappointed that the establishment allow someone as rude and unwelcoming as the manager to be doing that kind of role. As for setting an example for his staff I think the workplace are better off hiring a better manager who cares for the work place

We had a lovely meal and red wine at SQ. We chose from the specials menu which is always changing and great value. We both had the prawn and monkfish skewer for starters and followed by the fish of the day which was a whole place, lovely see photos . It should be a quiet Wednesday night in the village but the reputation of SQ being so good means that there is always a lovely bustling atmosphere, especially as we like to sit near the immaculate open kitchen. The owners of SQ do not ever serve low quality wine, and they regularly check that the best wine is available but not at a rip off price which is admirable: We are so lucky to have to have SQ in the village and looking forward to the summ...
