"What a lovely restaurant Puccini's is. Their history speaks for itself, having been open for over 40 years. There is a really lovely and lively family vibe in a bright and vibrant restaurant and it was the perfect setting for my cousin's 30th birthday meal, the service from start to finish was excellent and we were well looked after. The food was beautiful, there's an extensive menu to choose from and it was very hard to choose. But I was so happy I chose the Pappardelle con crema di funghi, I added chicken to it and it was one of the nicest pasta dishes I've ever eaten. So creamy and full of flavour. "We all really enjoyed our first visit to Taste of East, the food was great and being Sunday we the special offer applied meaning good value for money. There are the usual staples on the menu, which most of our diners went for, but if you fancy a change there are a good range of chef's specials to choose from and a couple of us picked from those. None of us were disappointed as the food was delicious. The bill for six of us each having poppadoms and sauces, starters, mains with rice and nan breads, and a couple of rounds of drinks came to £105, so really good value.The interior is a little dated and on the night we visited the service was a bit slow, but the waiter did apologize for this explaining that the were a chef down and that they had been inundated with on-line/telephone orders. Neither of these issues will put us of returning to Taste of East to sit in and eat or for a take away."

"I've passed this place so often and always said I'll try this place. at least on the 15th january I did that and I was not disappointed. from the moment they go through the door, they are greeted with a smile, they are not rushed. to place an order, they are relaxed when they order their drinks and eat. the brave are the best. we had four between us and it was full. the house wine on the glass is expensive £3 for 125ml, which works £18 per bottle. However, the bottle price was around £11 so cheaper to buy the bottle when they share. I would definitely go back. and liz liptrot"

"Friendly greetings and advice on parking on arrival set the the tone for the great service we received. Started off with bread and olives large serving and Good quality, one portion would easily serve two people. Starters included favourite prawn cocktail and meatballs....Again generous portions, really tasty and clearly made on the premises. For the mains it was the same story pizzas with light base, nicely balanced sauce and just the right amount of toppings salmon and prawns was the stand out dish of the night, done to absolute perfection. Bet you’re expecting me to say the deserts were excellent too........they were. Home made tiramisu and profiteroles. Did the drinks let it down? not a chance really nice house red and Coffees. Never been here before and really looking forward to coming back."

"I go to heritage kebab house as they do decent chicken fillet burgers and their pizzas are nice. I find going there during lunch time hours when they are not too busy the quality is very good, fresh salad, fresh everything and the portion sizes...are good. In the evening however when the staff are obviously a lot busier taking telephone orders, the food is not always to that high standard. I typically order the chicken fillet burger and occasionally it can be a little greasy, especially if it's not the manager making the food, but this is only on the odd occasion. I would recommend this take away even though some items on the menu are slightly expensive in comparison to its neighbours, but the food is better quality, tastier and the manager/owner always welcoming."

"Booking was easy. Did in advance. 5 ladies' friends meeting for Sunday lunch. Table booked for 2 pm, one of the ladies driving from Liverpool, so a delay on our part, no problem in moving our table to 2 45pm instead. Staff lovely. glasses of prosecco ordered, supplied on draft from the bar. Unfortunately, this was then very, very flat after sipping a mouthful, so no more ordered. Asked for a glass of chardonnay for one of our ladies, didn't have it. I'm a little surprised that such a venue didn't. To replace the prosecco, one of our ladies ordered a cocktail and, again, didn't have some of the ingredients!!! 4 roast lunches ordered, we all thought it was lovely but went very cold quickly, we did tell the young gentleman who asked how our meal was, shame as presentation was just lovely.. our 5th lady had the salt and pepper chicken. This was enjoyed and presented nicely but again wasn't hot.. Overall, nice staff, nice atmosphere ,shame about a couple of issues,may need to try again but as we don't meet often wouldn't go here together again as a little dissapointed.To be fair to the restaraunt we should have said food cold at the mid stage but didn't want the fuss of sending 5 lunches back. So, hopefully, this honest assessment helps you going forward."

"Booked a table for two for our 36th wedding anniversary. Chose Pacifica because open table website showed extensive choice of menu. We were disappointed on arrival to find that the internet menu was very different from Pacifica menu which was quite limited. The food was very good but the whole experience was let down by the standard of service which was ok but staff were not very knowledgeable or perhaps the communication between diners and waiter seemed difficult. The main fault was the lack of knowledge of drinks. We asked for an aperitif of classic dry martini before our meal but the Maitre D' seemed not to know what constituted a dry martini and seemed aghast when we asked for the drinks to include a green olive. When we enquired about cocktails he just gave us a blank expression and disappeared into the distance never to be seen again. The open table website gave us to believe that we would receive 5 star food and service. The fact was that we enjoyed the food but the overall experience could have been so much better."

"We have just returned from lunch at the Woodside. We have been here a few times over the years on and off but we haven't been recently and I can't praise the place enough. The staff were attentive and friendly. We were sat on a nice table by some patio doors and didn't feel crammed in like some places. Myself and my husband had a sharing platter to start which was really good. I then had the Korean chicken skewers with triple cooked chips and the most delicious slaw/salsa I've ever had. Usually when you get chicken skewers you get pieces of chicken breast but this skewer had three delicious whole chicken thighs. The chips were hot and tasty. My husband had the steak and Merlot pie which was a proper pie (not a stew with a lid on). He really enjoyed his meal also. It wasn't cheap but I really don't mind paying if the food is good, and it was. Will be returning."

"We had a reservation for breakfast for four people. We were seated quickly, but then had to wait 20 minutes before we were offered any drinks. Another 20 minutes passed before they took our food order, after I complained. We then had to wait even longer for our food to arrive. People who arrived after us were served before us. When I brought this up to the manager, he just brushed me aside and said they were extremely busy. Well, yes, I could see that, but maybe they shouldn't accept bookings if they can't handle it! I felt bad for the young wait staff as there weren't enough of them. The food was okay, so no complaints there, but the service was terrible."

"If I could give this Restaurant no stars I would after they ruined a special birthday meal .The food was not seasoned whatsoever it didn’t matter what came out .The pasta bland and served in a soup bowl.Fish which is £20 per head straight out of the freezer fried ,no seasoning and served .If you want properly cooked food do not enter this place .The place itself is modern with chaotic young staff and older managers running around clueless in the restaurant business .Cocktails at £9 for one served as slush puppies with a shot of alcohol disgusting to say the least .Underage girls not asked for ID sat downing wine and cocktails with their school friends from a local school waiting for them outside .This place is just fast food junk served to the masses on party nights .Don’t go for nice food and ambience or class it’s just cheap rubbish . This is why now I recognise they were done in 2021 for health and hygiene breached standards !! AVOID"

"Had a day off from work so had a trip over to media city fancied something to eat drink and their it was the place that I was going to have my lunch in . The Dockyard . As an Industrial feel to it with an old school look when it comes to the the chairs wooden tools .this is a great place very spacious inside but also outside in them summer months just people watching or if your lucky the odd celebrity walking by the prices are not bad remember you are in media city so expect to pay about 5 pound for a drink. I did have a bite to eat and opted for the Dockyard Club bit like a BLT you get it with fries .But have to say I was disappointed . I paid 11 pound for my lunch but I found it had very little taste and the biggest disappointment was the cheap bread they used Try Warburtos . Bit of a let down when the meal was nothing special needs work . but over all the staff are friendly and welcoming and it's in a great location with a good choice of drinks. will I go back absolutely for drinks not for the food sadly. but I had a great Afternoon its a wonderful place to stop At . Thanks to the staff for being so welcoming."

"Previously, from here to order a few years when we lived near ordsall. think that the manager hiself has always delivered the food on time, hot and with a smile and a few words from the manager. we were alwasy surprised to find a nice free part of bhajis that were huge! honestly, tennis balls smaller than these are so prepared for Ggenrous part when they order some! definitely recommended and now we live closer to it, it will be ordered again tonight!"

"Went to have a Birthday meal with my friends it was Pauline's 65th birthday what a shambolic time starter ordered Chicken wings, and 2 lots of coated mushrooms with dip and side salad NO chicken wings and the coating on the mushrooms were that hard...they were uneatable I had to change mine to cauliflower popcorn and my friends had to have garlic bread. Then the main meal I had the open chicken sandwich Pauline wanted the fish gujons sandwich guess what they didn't have any she ended up with fish and chips, jane had a vegetarian meal disaster again for sweet I had icecream and Jane had the pie with custard Pauline didn't have a sweet this was the best part of the meal, This is the last time WE will be going back there I have to give a star this is for the waiter and no one else"

"If this review were based solely on our initial server, it would have been a one-star rating. We have visited Cafe Rouge before and always enjoyed it, so when we saw they were offering Afternoon Tea, it seemed like the perfect choice when we were unsure of what to order. We were greeted and seated, but things quickly went downhill. We requested two croque champignons instead of one croque monsieur and one croque champion, due to one of us being vegetarian. After some confusion, our order was finally taken, but then we waited for a long time with no sign of our food. Despite other tables receiving their orders after us, we were told there had been a mistake and our order had not been placed in the kitchen. The server was not apologetic until the manager intervened. The manager was very apologetic and made sure we were taken care of, even offering us drinks as an apology. Finally, when our Afternoon Tea arrived, it was delicious. The scones were fresh, the cakes were beautiful, and the croque champignon was excellent. The Prosecco was also very good. While the manager’s efforts saved the day, I cannot say that the overall visit was Very Good or Excellent due to the rocky start."

"I placed an order 2.5 hours ago and it arrived 15 minutes late. Unfortunately, the order was incorrect, as only 2 bags were delivered with only half of the items we ordered. Additionally, we received chips that we did not order, which were presented as a gesture for the delay. The delivery driver allowed us to handle all of the bags, which is not COVID secure. On top of that, the quoted price was £22.70, but the final bill came to over £26 for 2 main dishes and 3 sides. Despite the issues, the food itself is excellent when it is prepared correctly."

"Free delivery within 3 miles now with orders over £12. Hygiene rating is 4/5. Staying in Manchester this week, we chose Chilli for a takeaway, as they have such a good range of food available. I fancied a curry, vegetable Sambar chosen with pilau rice and peshwari naan. SO good, enough for 2 meals, came with raitha and the chopped onion/tomato/cucumber mix. Hubs had a kebab on a naan, it was HUGE, and took him 2 days to eat. Good value, quick and polite service, parking right outside.10 minutes from order to takeaway. They also do pizzas, burgers (including veggie) and chicken/ chips."

"I dropped in here for lunch on my way to a TV filming. I was quickly served at the bar. I opted for a spiced paneer flatbread and half a pint. The flatbread when it arrived was very thin, dry and hard. I couldn't eat most of it. The paneer and mango was tasty, but the wilted greens we're off putting. The beer was fresh and poured well. I'd come back for a drink, but skip the food next time as there are lots of other local options."
