"Booking was easy. Did in advance. 5 ladies' friends meeting for Sunday lunch. Table booked for 2 pm, one of the ladies driving from Liverpool, so a delay on our part, no problem in moving our table to 2 45pm instead. Staff lovely. glasses of prosecco ordered, supplied on draft from the bar. Unfortunately, this was then very, very flat after sipping a mouthful, so no more ordered. Asked for a glass of chardonnay for one of our ladies, didn't have it. I'm a little surprised that such a venue didn't. To replace the prosecco, one of our ladies ordered a cocktail and, again, didn't have some of the ingredients!!! 4 roast lunches ordered, we all thought it was lovely but went very cold quickly, we did tell the young gentleman who asked how our meal was, shame as presentation was just lovely.. our 5th lady had the salt and pepper chicken. This was enjoyed and presented nicely but again wasn't hot.. Overall, nice staff, nice atmosphere ,shame about a couple of issues, may need to try again but as we don't meet often wouldn't go here together again as a little dissapointed. To be fair to the restaraunt we should have said food cold at the mid stage but didn't want the fuss of sending 5 lunches back. So, hopefully, this honest assessment helps you going forward."

We went to have a big family celebration. They could not have been more helpful from booking the tables to checking everything was ok. The food was brought out and dispersed to the correct tables without any fault. The food was delicious and the whole family meal celebration went without a hitch from the restaurant.

We visited The Waterside for my birthday lunch, they accommodated balloons and cake for the table and on arrival made us all very welcome. My family of 7 all ordered different meals and each one was delicious, great portions, great taste, great quality and superb service. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit thanks to the amazing staff, live music and delicious food.

I stayed for 3 nights in the James Brindley room and overall had a good stay. I arrived to be welcomed by Mike who was really helpful and attentive. The room was tastefully decorated, very spacious with views overlooking the canal, and it had all the facilities I needed. The bed wasn't the comfiest (mattress a bit thin for me but then again I do have an orthopedic mattress at home so perhaps I am judging unfairly) but the bedding was beautiful quality and the duvet was so cosy. The heating wasn't easy to figure out but I solved it by just turning the radiator on /off. The main problem for me was that the Waterside is above all else a bar and restaurant so the music is loud and carries on unt...

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
