"I went to this restaurant for Sunday lunch with my family. We ordered Sunday roasts, but were disappointed to find that the vegetables were cooked in garlic, which was not mentioned on the menu. I have a garlic intolerance and had to send the vegetables back. The roast potatoes also seemed to be cooked in garlic, despite me mentioning my intolerance. The meal was ruined for me as all I could taste was garlic. Additionally, the roast dinner did not come with stuffing and they wanted to charge an extra £3 for it. They also added a service charge to the bill, which I asked to have removed. The server was rude and mocked us to her colleagues. I was not impressed by the food or service. I spoke to the host on our way out, but she was unhelpful. If the restaurant is going to use so much garlic in their roast dinners, they should make it clear on the menu."

Ellie looked after us very well today, because we were on a tight schedule she made sure we got our food in good time. The meal was delicious thanks Botanist for fitting us in on a busy day.

Attentive and helpful staff, waiting on and chef. Additional gluten free courses provided after specific enquiry. Lovely atmosphere. It seemed like just the two of us, despite being a full restaurant! The Botanist porn star martini was beautiful!

A few weeks ago, my dining experience at this restaurant was not the best. However, after leaving a review online, the manager, Jack, reached out to me and was sincerely interested in making things right. He kindly offered a complimentary meal, which my sister took advantage of last night. She reported that the service and food were excellent. This is a true example of great customer service, always striving to leave a positive impression. Thank you. View menu

We typically dine at a Botanist no matter where we are because the food is consistently delicious and the staff are fantastic. However, on this particular visit, the staff were excellent but the food did not meet our expectations. We ordered the chicken kebab and found it to be very disappointing. We have tried this dish over 20 times in the past, but this was definitely the worst version we have encountered. If this had been our first experience at a Botanist, we likely would not return.

We decided to visit the Imperial Museum and stopped for lunch at The Botanist in Media City. It was a great decision! The interior design was visually appealing and put us in a good mood. We were surprised to learn that it was part of a chain restaurant. The food was delicious - we tried both the hot and vegan board, which was perfect for sharing between two people. The cauliflower and garlic were particularly tasty. The service was good, with the staff wearing masks, making for a pleasant overall lunch experience. We look forward to returning for another meal or trying out their cocktails.

"Hearing about a traditional fish and chip shop in Prestwich, complete with a restaurant and bar, and cooking in beef-dripping with the option for vegetable oil (call to confirm vegetable oil availability), I was compelled to check it out. Upon entering the shop, I found myself in the bar area, with access to the restaurant located upstairs. The bar was furnished with tables, chairs, and stools for those wishing to enjoy a drink or avoid the stairs. It is encouraging to see young people engaged in the fish and chip shop trade, potentially leading to more traditional establishments in the future. The cod, although slightly smaller than expected, was delicious and cooked to perfection. The chips were among the best I’ve had in a long time. The pea fritters, black pudding fritters, and tartare sauce were also excellent. In-house pies were available as well, so I sampled the cheese and onion and meat and potato varieties and can recommend both. There is parking available across the street and on-street. However, the opening hours might not suit those looking for a lunchtime meal, as at the time of this review, the hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM, and closed on Sunday and Monday.
