"We booked a table for a nice birthday family and friends lunch on a Sunday . A waitress came over to take out drinks order, we were waiting for two other people to join so she came back when they arrived and took there orders...too. Next thing we knew we had another person come over and take our food orders, possibly the manager but he was very off with us and spoke down to us like we had done something wrong , we put our orders in smiled and carried on enjoying our family get together . He then returned to our table with a face like the thunder and it seemed so hard for him to be pleasant to us . He informed us that the dishes we had ordered had sold out so we Decided ’ to see the menu and for him to come back in a few minutes . The Miserable faced man soon retuned to the table to re take our orders only to inform us we had somehow offended his waitress who was crying in the kitchen. We were all shocked at this point and had no idea how on earth a waitress could be offended by some indecisive pensioners trying to work out what they would like to eat as there second choice . He told us that we should leave after our first drinks . He said this in a very aggressive manner totally unprofessional and his actions and manners caused one of our party to become very upset . This is unacceptable and very unprofessional Especially if he was management , maybe he should loom for a job in another trade this is not the way to treat people who does he think he is !! We will never return to the Albion unless they have staff that know how to with the restaurant trade absolutely appalling behaviour !! Avoid this restaurant"

"Would I visit again?Probably . Would I have something different ?most definitely! On arrival met at front door told gentleman would show us to our seats. Drinks and meals ordered very quickly. The four of us ordered the same sharing platter one plate came out...so we had to ask was it for four after a little time the second plate arrived my friend asked for salt again some time before it came. The dishes were lovely would recommend. My husband and I both ordered the saltemboca. In fairness it tasted lovely but was so tough the waitresss see me having difficulty trying to cut it . She took it away and changed it. Again very tough which is very unusual for veal. A sharp knife would have helped. The table was cleared and the restaurant started to empty so we asked for the sweet menu. We could see the waitress who had served us going home. I love tirimusu but was I disappointed. Two pieces of dry sponge with a little alcohol cream and chocolate bits. So disappointing even the way it is served in a small round pot is so strange. No coffee syrup or anything in it. I’ve eaten Tirimusu at every location I’ve been to in Italy don’t think they would have called it. We didn’t have time then for coffee which having been in a restaurant for 3 hours a little dissatisfied as the floater coffees looked good. I thoroughly appreciate not being rushed but definitely think it was more forgotten. My friend highly recommended the house special pasta and his wife sai the calzone was tasty if a bit burnt. My husband and friend had the cheese board which they enjoyed but both were given a spoon and although this was pointed out no knife ever arrived luckily fingers work well. Nice location staff were polite if a bit haphazard"

"faversham's rich history and well-known historical connections to the Gunpowder industry date back to the 16th century. some industrial remains of water mills around the north of the city) are still in evidence today. but faversham of today the gunpowder mill in london road a2) has the association of the city and remembrance of its historical past with the industry. I visited the gunpowder inn with family on Tuesday afternoon) 9/8/22. it had a pleasantly relaxed atmosphere. the inn is near the bus services of the city, a bus stop near the london road. my first impressions encouraging! a modern attractive inn, built in a style that also offers an ideal free play area for families, with an excellent parking space abundant. also a smooth, gradual ramp footpath perfect that leads to a far accessible front door. both the walkway and the entrance are perfect for disabled and wheelchair access from the parking lot. in the interior is a modern and airy interieur with a large floor space that allows well positioned seating and table arrangements. warm charming wall decoration and light fittings suitable. add a good long bar, with very clean hygenic toilets also available for disabled. this inn has a welcoming family invites to its glamour. is also important that I found the staff very friendly, happy, the waitresses always served with a smile and only to help. a big plus! maybe just a tad slow on the table service, but well waited for a good dish provided. I enjoyed the whitby scampi and salat well cooked! good value I thought what I chose. my appetizer prawn cocktail, main course whitby scampi, fries and salat extras, and sweet dessert apple and pear crumbs with custard. it was a joy to enjoy and very good price. if I press a comment one step further in all courtesy regarding the menu; then perhaps only a tad more 'up the ante' with the selection of the food and then I believe that this inn could be a real classy 'tale of the city's 'local and wide. overall however a very pleasant experience, and yes, a deserved return later. now people when they are in the faversham area and feel hungry, please give the gunpowder mill a...at least for a first visit. my rating of a1 10/10 goes mainly to the manager and the staff, and especially to the fine structure and facilities of the inn itself....BRILLIANT landmark let some of these ratings more aim at the menu and the selection of food in the future. well done and thanks. best greetings, chris and family members)."

"Wonderful place. Top of the range pub with your familiar pub grub. But done by people who clearly go the extra mile to give you the best quality. Service was friendly and fast. Just a few minutes we had to wait for our starters when I originally ordered. Followed by our net shortly after. The atmosphere was great. Warm and relaxed. It wasn't a hustle and bustle to catch up. We took our seats and enjoyed a nice social lunch. The staff took us as soon as we came in and explained how things were down (see a table order at the bar). That's always nice. I hate going to a place that is not sure what to do. I wait to sit where are the menus etc. So this greeting went far with me. Good value for money. I spent as much as I would expect to pay for each three course meal, but I was very glad to see how well everything was done. It wasn't one of those scenarios where you pay the top dollar, so nothing less awaits. It was that you pay fair, but get the best, regardless of it. Something should live everywhere. There were some retreaters. For example, what I asked was not available. But the staff told me the circumstances politely and that was OK with me. Some things cannot be helped what I understand. I'll measure it by the staff overseeing the situation. What I am happy about how they did, see no reason why a star would be pulled off in this case. To explain my stars, I give one for value ratio one for service one for the atmosphere one for the quality of food and one based on all my pleasure. In this case, I have to say that all boxes are checked and would definitely revise."

"Booked a table for 2 for Valentine 's Day per email on 28.01.23. Had a phone call from a lady to confirm the reservation. Arrived today at the Barnyard. My husband entered the restaurant while I parked the car. Apparently the gentleman on the reception was unable to find my booking on the computer. However, he offered a table in the bar or at the back corner in the main restaurant. My husband chose the table in the main restaurant. Can 't say that this was very romantic, especially as there were a few (nicer) empty tables which were later occupied with couples. I enquired again at the reception regarding my reservation but the gentleman didn 't seem to understand and kept telling me that I had a table and apparently nothing else seemed to interest him. He also didn 't understand or couldn 't be bothered when I asked him what was the point of of booking when there is no table on arrival. Anyhow, I realised, there was no point in talking to this person. Sat down and wrote an email to the booking team. This gentleman took our order and when he later brought the food, he enquired of our name. Now it appears that it was all my husbands fault. Instead of WOLSONCROFT, he apparently said Wilson . (You couldn 't make it up) Besides, we were sitting on the right table the guardian of the reception declared as he had now found my booking on his computer. And then he walked off. No this is not a Monty Python sketch"
