"I loved my visit to The Three Tuns. I stopped off whilst on a bike ride through the beautiful countryside surrounding the village and had a lovely meal and a pint in the garden. Everything went very well and I really enjoyed the food and the surroundings. I opted for a Cajun chicken burger which was very tasty and well worth the money. The staff were very nice and professional and all the timings were spot on (service, waiting for food, asking if everything was okay, would I like another drink ,etc . I also enjoyed the music that was being played and I look forward to visiting again sometime soon. Revisited the pub and I am pleased to report that it is just as good if not better than my first visit. I was on a bit of an epic bike ride so I only opted for the Cheesy Chips this time but other people where having main meals and they looked and smelled delicious . There is a reclaimed nature reserve known as The Old Brickworks opposite The Three Tuns. It is well worth a look whilst you are visiting as there are some lovely views of the boats out on the water (or maybe in the mud if the tide is out! and of the local church just a matter of metres from the front of the pub and many people walk their dogs there before stopping off in the pub for a pint. As I mentioned before, this is a great pub, highly recommended and I will be back again and hopefully soon!!"

Very nice pub with friendly staff. We only had a drink, but from what we saw, the food came our beautifully presented and people seemed to be enjoying it. Will be coming back again to try the food ourselves.

Such a great old pub. We went a few times while staying in Kent. We absolutely loved it! Food is excellent, big portions and great quality. Staff are friendly. Atmosphere is happy and cheerful. The pub is really clean too and kept really well. Thank you!

We're lucky to be in the same village as this pub and have had 100+ meals there. Food is always lovely, as are the staff. Daily specials are always a treat in addition to the regular menu. It was always busy and you need to book to ensure a table! We highly recommend the pub and food!

Really lovely place. Was invited by friends and glad we accepted. Had a lovely welcome by a lady inside. Shown to a really nice table. Good excellent nice to see liver on the menu (YES!!!!!! My favourite!! . Everyone’s meal was cooked to perfection, desserts were great apparently (I didn’t have one and my husbands cheeseboard was lovely. Parking is a bit tricky but we car shared and eventually found a space. Definitely go back. Lovely old place brought into modern times.

Ordered a chicken burger which turned out to be a grilled chicken breast cut into two and placed into an almost raw bun. Not exactly adhered to trading descriptions here ! Frustrating when you see staff coming to tables to deliver food and going back with empty trays not checking in their other tables , very inefficient and needs a lot of training . No service checks on food either . Saying that they are friendly. Been once before and the food was good , after this not sure I’d come back or recommend the place View menu

We returned here after a glorious experience some weeks before to enjoy Sunday lunch. We were booked to sit in a far corner in the bar which would have been fine but every table had 1-3 dogs and a couple were particularly noisy and this ruined our experience. If it had been explained to us I would not have booked. The roast chicken was disappointing with reheated potatoes and in all it was a very poor experience. Our last meal and dog free lunch was a 9/10 but this much anticipated lunch was more 4/10. It may be a while before we return, such a shame

Visited this evening for a catch-up with some friends. This was my first time visiting and loved it! From the friendly staff and very welcoming owner to the decor and the stunning food! I picked the 2-course meal from the festival menu and it was damn good! For starters, I had the wild boar and for my main(see the picture) I had the braised belly pork with blue cheese mash. It was stunning. Very well priced for the quantity and quality. The pub itself is a traditional pub with a touch of modernity. The roaring fire just near the entrance was a welcoming sight. Certainly worth several visits! I would suggest booking ahead, we were lucky they were able to accommodate us. You can see why this p...

"Having been to the Phoenix several times and I believe, this to be my second average review of the food and service, you 'd think they would have taken heed, but clearly not. Firstly, like most top end restaurants in London, they are reserving the right to charge for no shows £20 per head). But, what they are also doing, which is very unfair, is charging you for cancellations within 24 hours of the booking at £10 per head. If one or more of our friends had fallen ill over night it 's the flu season at the moment), they would have been were forced to go for an expensive average Sunday lunch, whilst spreading their germs to the other diners. It also poses the question, what would some do if you book a table less than 24 hours like we did) and then decide to cancel? The excuse that orders for food have already been placed doesn 't really hold water. The Sunday menu forces you to order a minimum of 2 courses at £34 per head. Some of the top London restaurants are charging less for far more opulent Sunday roasts e.g. the Jugged Hare at the Barbican). The Sunday lunch served was simply very average and not value for money. Finally, why are the desserts here, always consistently so bad? I ordered a baked cheesecake and got cream squirted on a piece of cake. When I asked what I had been served, I was told it was chef 's interpretation of a cheesecake. The menu clearly stated baked cheesecake. Not even in my wildest dreams can you interpret a baked cheesecake as a piece of cake with creamed squirted on it! This was promptly returned and replaced with a vile chocolate tart, with pastry so hard I couldn 't cut into it without the fear of smashing the plate it was served on. The chocolate was over salted and the chantilly cream served with it unsweetened. Save your money, go elsewhere."
