"We had our wedding reception at this gorgeous pub yesterday afternoon and they were fantastic! Lou and the whole team were amazing and we can’t thank them enough! Massive thank you to Lou herself for helping us set it all up the night before, the place looked amazing! The food there is beautiful especially the pies!! Waited over a hour for our food to arrive, I ordered a steak medium, I’ve never had a steak that’s pink and tough before. Staff was friendly on a brighter note

We had a fantastic meal on the 14th June. It was a celebration for myself and my husband my eldest daughter and her husband as our anniversaries are in the same week. We would highly recommend the sun, we shall definitely go again

A favourite for lunch with our adult grandchildren. A good choice on the menu to suit all tastes at a reasonable price. Friendly service. My prawn and avocado salad was delicious. We ate in the bar but there is also a restaurant area and a large beergarden with plenty of seating.

Arrived on time for a 1.00pm reservation, 3 adults, 2 young children. Friendly greeting but were told there would be a half hour wait for food. The food arrived at 2.00pm by which time the children had understandably become very restless. The food was fine except my wife's portion of sea bass was very small. There was no apology for the delay in delivery of our meals.

I’ve eaten at The Sun Inn on a couple of occasions and the food has always been excellent. Mother’s Day however was a different story. £39.95 for three courses!! The potatoes were hard and not roasted properly. The cauliflower cheese was but on top and watery liquid in the bottom of the dish. The gravy was like water. The custard was cold. The service was excellent and that’s the only reason we didn’t complain.
