"Inattentive staff today 13th April at 5pm who pick and choose who to provide customer service to. I am Black and was made to wait though place was practically empty. Service was so bad I had to walk up to ask for my bill. Meanwhile all around me all other White customers received very prompt services. I was waiting for my table to be cleared and offered some dessert but this did not happen such that I started eating my cake bought from another bakery. They had the audacity to ask for a tip and I asked them to take it off. Male server appeared shocked and asked why. I explained my reason and he did not apologise .I will not be returning and shame on you all."

"Although I am not vegan myself, my husband is, so I don't usually dine at fully vegan restaurants with him. However, we decided to give it a try and had a wonderful date night at this restaurant a week ago. The crispy courgette flowers starter and chipotle mushrooms main course were delicious and well worth the cost. We had a great time and would definitely come back. It's nice to see the growing vegan scene in London with so many excellent options to explore, and I hope to visit more places like this in the future."

"went for a weekend walk around wimbledon common, but needed a bit susceptibility on the way. I was recommended to spend the hand in hand or the fox grapes when I was ready to spend a little more. Finally, the fox grapes were the one we took (both literally and metaphorically). it was a bit more pricier than normal, but eating was a quality to fit. I chose the squid and triple boiled chips. the squid was perfectly broken, and while the three-fold boiled chips were not as good as others I tasted, the muddy heaps were excellent. the positive noise from the other side of the table suggested that the burger was also quite good!"

"Mildreds is a staple of the London Vegan Scene. I can't believe I’m only writing a review of it now We went to the branch in Soho before watching Les Mis and decided to just share a few of the small plates instead of having a big plate and some starters, as we would normally do. You get to try a lot more things this way, and their small plates are delicious! Honestly, there wasn't anything we ate that I wouldn't order again, but there were definitely a couple of standouts that I hope they never take off the menu. Topping the list is their Sweet Potato Leek Tortelloni, which comes with a lovely leek cream that is somehow both rich and smooth. Also amazing is their Whipped F'ta topped with roasted cherry tomatoes and oregano which is just perfect to dip their grilled pita on. There's still so much on their menu that I haven't tried. I absolutely must go again soon! Overall: 9.5/10 Fully Vegan What we ate: "

"although the restaurant was not overcrowded, eating was delivered in the wrong order, our cots come at the same time as our main courses. the main course was very poor cod with Thai curry was cold and tasteless (an achievement to make a curry so bland! I ordered as a page, described as 'old grains', which turned out to be quinoa, why not say so on the menu? again it was cold and tasteless. the restaurant confirms itself as open to 10 o'clock, but until 9.15 the staff began to turn the air conditioning so that it was so cold we had to wake up our hunting, even if we had not finished our meal, turn off the lights and begin to clean adjacent tables and clean the floor of the kitchen area we sat near. overall the attitude was involuntary, and eating (compared to what I bought in the deli in the past was very bad. I wouldn't eat there again or recommend to others to do this."

"I didn't realize this restaurant was in a hotel, but we figured out our direction and made it in time for our reservation all the same. Laurel on the Roof is a cozy restaurant with panoramic views of London. We went for brunch and I had the full English breakfast and my husband had the French Toast, both of which were fabulous. We paired the meals with mimosas and other breakfast cocktails, which were well balanced. The wait staff were attentive but not overly enough to bother you. We felt free to enjoy our meal at a leisurely place. It was a great meal to end our trip to the UK."

"Farmer browns used to be one of my favourite places to eat when I lived in the neighbourhood. I hadn't been to the restaurant in a couple of years when I booked in over the weekend. I was really disappointed. The decor has gone really shabby, and the restaurant felt grubby. There was different music playing inside and outside on the terrace, and with the door open, that became really distracting. We were the only people sitting inside the restaurant, and it was really quiet outside two, with just a couple of tables filled. Despite this, the table next to us remained stacked with plates and food left from previous diners for 20 minutes. When our starters arrived, one of the waitstaff started hovering next to us. Our drinks came warm. The starter of chicken wings was nice, but that was the highlight of the meal. Service was extremely slow we waited about 45 minutes between our starters and main. My partner's order was wrong, and my salad had no dressing on it. Despite all of this, it was pricey. It's a shame to see a once famous eatery lose its charm. I hope it will regain it."

"We visited here for breakfast and ordered the acai bowl and smoky beans, scrambled tofu and avocado ssuce on toasted sour dough with a refreshing ginger jack juice. Both breakfast dishes were delicious and set us up nicely for the day ahead. Inside the interior is bright and spacious and there's a nice chilled vibe. Staff are friendly too. Would visit again for sure."

"Lovely location, and good weather enabled everyone to sit outside on the sunny terrace. The staff were friendly and welcoming and provided good service, but the food was disappointing. Some sandwiches were dry, tasted as though they'd been made the day before. The waiter replaced it promptly with another dry sandwich. The desserts were small taster size portions (which was fine) but did not appear freshly made. The cream tea part of the menu was nice, but again a very small scone. The gluten free option was preferred over the regular afternoon tea by our group."

"I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed with my recent experience at this restaurant. I visited a few days ago with friends, and we all had similar feedback about their meal. The sirloin steak I ordered was very dry, even though it was cooked medium. Additionally, the pepper sauce didn't meet my expectations, as it seemed overly vinegary and sour. However, I have no complaints about the service, which was friendly and helpful. I'm inclined to explore other dining options before considering a return visit to your establishment."

"The restaurant did not have a table ready for us when we arrived, so we were seated at a shared table in the middle of the restaurant. We requested to move and were accommodated in a separate room. The food was not worth the price, as the portion sizes were inadequate. Our starters had to be canceled because they were served at the same time as the main course. Despite these issues, the staff was apologetic and comped us free hot drinks at the end of the meal."

"The ambience is really nice and the waiters are also lovely giving you all the time you need. The food was good, I went for the chicken and waffles and would rate it a 75%. The only thing I recommend would be two thighs instead of the one to make it better value for money."

"We had friends down and thought we'd stop here for some lunch. Bad mistake. Ordered our food and after waiting half an hour went to see where our order was to be told there was at least a 40 minute wait, which we weren't informed of when ordering. When the food eventually turned up after 45 minutes, we ordered sandwiches which on the order was described as having salad with it. The salad consisted of some red onion with some butter beans. The bread was hard in places, it had probably been sat on the side. The fish finger sandwiches were cold, and as for the ham and cheese toastie as you can see it was anaemic. The girl serving asked what sauces we required and then forgot about us as she served others. Would never go here again."

"edited assessment. yesterday again visited and got the steak halloumi and chicken halloumi wraps ... perfection, every bite would still say it is not cheap, but for quality and taste, definitiw five stars, and again, staff were excellent. probably controversial, but I think that's preferred to huh over the steak. had to increase from the stars for the first time in slims healthy kitchen, but the famous steak and halloumi wrap was aware. staff very friendly and helpful, place immaculate clean and service prompt. Sweet potato friries were great, as good as I had somewhere, and the garlic sauce in the pack, and the halloumi were absolutely perfect. steak was rarely cooked on request, only had to share my knife to certain, and the long strands of steak were not perfect for eating in a pack. was very tasty tho. also not the cheapest, but can see why it is a popular place."

"My wife had been to tea and cake at the Grange before and found it excellent. We decided to pop in for lunch on the off chance. Booking is normally essential to ensure that you get in. The Grange is the restaurant and cafe arm of Hearing Dogs for the Deaf and fronts the Southern Training Centre located in Saunderton between West Wycombe and Princes Risborough. The menu is modest, offers vegetarian and vegan options. Ingredients are excellent and of the highest quality. I opted for the fish and chips (hake, beer batter, minted peas and chips with a tartare mayo lacked bite for my taste) and the other half had the tomato and basil soup). Both were excellent. Prices are very reasonable and, of course, the profits go to the charity. The restaurant is, unsurprisingly, deaf friendly with echo eliminating ceilings and sound absorbing floors. Modern buildings and very doggy friendly. Tours of the training centre with or without cream tea are available. The decor is “rustic” and is entirely in keeping with the surroundings."

"I don't write reviews but this place is so awful I had to. I live next door to this place and have been 3 times in the last 2 years... Always an terrible experience but gave them benefit of the doubt on two separate occasions. Today was no exception no cutlery on table coffee lids don't work so coffee spilled all over my clothes, then Order was wrong so food got cold while I wait for them to bring amended food... food wasn't great at all and cold, then charged an extortion amount of money. This is how the place is all the time not a one off!!Not so much as an apology. They really don't care about this place and could do really well if ANY EFFORT was put into this place. All staff completely incompetent as must be owner if they continue to allow this business to be run like this!!! Anyone who wants a nice decent Sunday brunch don't stress yourself or waste your money by attending here go to middays or miracles in Cockfosters!!"

"What a disaster! I arrived at Macy Browns on Saturday afternoon after having a table reservation for 2 weeks, only to find that they were closed. Despite receiving multiple emails about my reservation, the restaurant was not open. It was incredibly embarrassing as I had organized a work dinner and drinks. I spoke with the manager over the phone, who was unapologetic and uncaring. Based on other comments I've read, it seems this is a common issue that the manager allows to happen. He blamed the booking system being automated and not human-controlled for the mix-up."

"I came with my brother and the environment was so cozy, our host was so friendly and friendly and we just had the best time the foods can not be given error-free and so cheaply. we received at the end free drinks that were so delicious, but above all unexpected! we really felt welcome to come back, which is as beautiful as it is a local gem"

"The one-man bar team was slow, the cider was off. When we went to be seated we were told there was no booking, I offered to show them my confirmation email, there was lots of chat between the two waitresses but they insisted there was no booking. Eventually they logged into the opentable app, where my booking appeared. We were told it was not their fault and they didn't know why I'd booked via that app (it's on the link from their website) When we were seated we were informed 2 of the roast meats had sold out which left only beef, at 1400 on a Sunday I was quite surprised by this and have to assume the kitchen is very poorly stocked. To be fair, the food was good but the overall experience was very underwhelming."

"All good except rushed service- booked for brunch but was told had to give the table back after 1.5 hours, so we abandoned the bottomless brunch. Apparently we had to specify on our booking that we wanted to add this, although it doesn’t say that anywhere. Might be something worth logging for anyone who wishes to book this!"
