"had a nice late lunch, early dinner at frankie benny in gunwharf quays. harrison took care of us. very friendly and gave us additional time if I could not decide what to order. the best part was that he didn't come by and looked after us when we had full the month. that always brings me. I hope he waited and appreciated it perfectly. I liked that. was great eating. very tasty and filling. mac and cheese burger with Cajun cheeseries. my new fav! Five stars."

"We absolutely loved our experience here! This was our first visit to a Frankie and Benny’s, and it definitely won't be our last. The service was excellent and incredibly fast—there was no waiting around or having to check on our orders. The food was simply amazing! My partner is quite picky about what he eats, but he had nothing but good things to say about it. I even managed to take a few photos of our meals (some partially eaten, haha). We used a Groupon voucher, which made for a smooth transaction—it didn’t disrupt our experience at all. It was worth every penny! Just a note, drinks were a bit pricey, but on the bright side, kids eat free, and my daughters loved that!"

"my first visit to francie and benny. on the other night we were here to dinner, but we are sitting right away. the place was clean and the music choice was nice; inoffensiw and with perfect volume. the waitress was friendly, served us quickly and gave us options for the starter and the main coming together, which was eating within 10 minutes! the bbq burger was super tasty, pommes could have been a little craspier, but were nice enough. it was a cheap food and filled enough I back."

"We took our granddaughter to the movies over the weekend and decided to treat ourselves to dinner as well. This restaurant is conveniently located just 100 meters from the cinema with plenty of parking available in the evening at The Crumbles. We hadn't dined here in a few years, but decided to give it a try on a Saturday evening. We made a reservation for a table after the movie and were warmly greeted upon our return. Despite being busy, we were seated promptly and presented with the menu. Our drinks took a little while to arrive, but we were not forgotten, as the staff was attentive and friendly. Our granddaughter enjoyed her child's meal, especially the free squishy toy that came with it. Our burgers were delicious and well-prepared, served with fresh fries and high-quality burger sauce on brioche rolls. The restaurant was clean and well-furnished, with friendly staff who checked on us multiple times during our meal. The toilets were also very clean and accessible. With ample parking and easy access for disabled patrons, this restaurant is a great choice for those visiting the cinema, harbour, or nearby shops. We would definitely dine here again."

"My wife and I have just been through Bristol airport with our 5 year old and figured frankie and bennys would be a decent place to eat in the hour we had to spare. The manager Liam seated us and proceeded to take both food and drinks orders and checked in with us during the meal. He made what was a surprisingly good burger dinner into a great experience with his amazing attitude and demeanour. Food in 10 minutes hot well cooked and delicious! We had to run to catch our gate and he followed us to give us the free dessert my daughter was entitled to but we weren't aware! Truly made a mundane airport visit into an enjoyable experience."

"It was my Granddaughter's birthday on the 11th and 6 of us were going for dinner, 3 Adults and 3 children. Our server was Ellen and she just couldn't do enough for us and very helpful with the girls choice of menu, nothing was a bother for her with 3 very excited girls. They even made my Granddaughters birthday for her when they brought her cake out and played Happy Birthday for her. "I made a reservation for a table for 8 people at 6:15 through OpenTable, but when I arrived, they had not received my booking, which was not my error but an OpenTable mistake. We had to wait until 6:45 for the next available table, which was only designed for 6 people. After I asked about our order, we were finally served our food at 7:30. By then, my hungry and hyper 3-year-old son was running around the restaurant. The 7 burgers, buns, and onion rings we ordered were cold and tasteless, with soggy bases, but the fries were very hot. We also had to wait again for the children's desserts, which was ice cream. We had to ask for our bill and ended up leaving disappointed with a group of bored children who had been sitting at a small table for too long and given poor quality food. Spending £105 for the worst evening out in a long time is not something I would recommend or repeat."

"I don't often go to eat, but I love frankie bennys. at the various locations I can go and it is always a tasty bite. eating is nice and my two children ate for free. they have great cocktails and the service is friendly and fast. I would like to distinguish at least a few workers petronella and sam who made our visit even more pleasant. if they don't have to pre-book they might have to wait for the table, so better to make calls in advance. I have no complaints and my family loves it."

"I called twice after booking through the open table and every time they said I had no booking. it was for my daughter's birthday and even on the day when we told the manager we had not booked and then we said we had a book for 5 o'clock. my notification from my app proved it was for lunch. they have taken care of us, but really bad attitude. the waiter was great and eating was good."

"Prebooked a table for people. We were crammed on a person table if that despite the restaurant being practically empty with much bigger tables. It was clear we were struggling and not once were we offered the chance to move. We had to...call someone over to take our drinks order. She didn’t come to take the order for at least minutes after saying she was coming then one drink never turned up so after about minutes of waiting we had to ask for it again. The food arrived at the same time which was good but unfortunately nobody had cleared our salad bowls so we couldn’t fit the mains on properly and some plates were practically bare. There was only a quarter of rotisserie chicken left when we ordered so we had to swap to a chicken breast which was ok but when a lot of the food is fatty and the ribs are undercooked without the bbq sauce on at all like stated on the menu that isn’t acceptable. It was very clear the staff were keeping the guests in one area of the restaurant for their convenience but it backfired when someone from the door marked ‘Private’ shouted something so loudly every guest turned and looked in shock. There was no explanation or apology. The staff just came out one by one smiling and laughing after they’d all rushed through to the back to see what was going on. Very unprofessional! It’s my first time visiting Wales and I’d had this Harvester recommended to me but I’ll never go back to it no matter how many times I visit in the future!"

The menu offered plenty of options, and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. Our server, Courtney, was exceptionally kind, especially considering it was only her second day on the job. "Terrible experience, was seated and we ordered 2 pints budwieser only to be told there 's no draught beer only bottles £5.10 a bottle £10.20 a pint basically) so we had 1 bottle each after waiting 15 minutes to get said bottle. I went on the £12.90 2 courses menu) I ordered garlic pizza bread and pepperoni pizza but was charged £3.00 and £12.40 respectively...mmmmhh supposed to be £12.90 !!! All in Garlic bread was solid and tasteless, never seen garlic at all. Pizza ...probably the worst I 've ever had and I 've buried a few in my time, no cheese , no moisture, no taste, I had to ask for parmesan to put a glimmer of cheese on it . Total rip off ! I actually left with a horrible taste in my mouth. Wife ordered lasagne was OK but had carrots in it ???? She was a head chef for one of Holts brewery mainstream pubs for 10 years...never seen carrots in lasagne? Overall it was a bad experience, wish I 'd never gone in and left feeling ripped off despite the bill being reasonable Someone needs to tell the 2nd chef to put their phone down too , people waiting for food !!! Never got asked if our meal was OK ? Never got asked if we wanted another drink even though I 'd drank my little bottle before the starter arrived. "Today, we visited the restaurant for my son's 11th birthday celebration with his friends. We ordered our main dishes and milkshakes from the menu. We wanted to order dessert, but we only had 25 minutes before we had to leave for laser tag. We inquired with the server if we would have enough time, and she assured us that we would. We decided to order 4 desserts. Unfortunately, only 2 desserts arrived after 5 minutes, while the other 2, including the one for my son's birthday, arrived just as we needed to leave. This 20-minute delay in serving the desserts caused my son to be upset as we had to rush through his birthday dessert. As a result, we were late for laser tag and missed a game. When I questioned the delay, I was informed that it was due to a new chef and was left with no further explanation. We also requested a balloon for each child, which was not provided, despite other children of similar age receiving them. When we inquired about the balloons, the server confirmed but never brought them. The food was mediocre, as we expected. Overall, it was one of the worst cases of service we have experienced."

"Had recently seen posts on Facebook regarding this restaurant having new management and thought we'd pop in pre-film. Visited on Saturday night (7th May) with my family, booked a table well in advance, were greeted very nicely upon entry which always makes things a lot nicer. Upon seating we noticed that something wasn't quite right, the restaurant was pretty much full, the most full we've seen it in a long while to be honest, partway through us ordering our drinks the manager went into the kitchen we assumed to speak with his kitchen team, he didn't come back out through the duration of our meal. We could see the cooks trying their hardest and we knew that the wait on our food would be a while. Me and my daughter watched the cooks and observed the team, working in hospitality myself I am more aware, filling in for one another. The place where the manager was somebody had replaced, another manager was speaking to tables. In summary, we waited long, but we knew about it in advance, the food was good when it eventually came, the manager did come around towards the end of our meal and spoke to us at length regarding the issue that had led to the events and his honesty was refreshing, the team were obviously strained however there were still smiles, sounds of laughter, overall the service was great, food was good, communication was brilliant. The only negative was an older couple at the entrance being extremely rude when told they couldn't be seated, which the female manager dealt with very well may I add. Will return for sure. Well done!"

"Visited on Saturday afternoon, was very busy and we were left waiting in the doorway for at least 5 minutes before anyone came over to us. We were seated right at the back near the kitchen which was the busiest part, almost all tables were full. I don't know why we were seated here as there were many empty tables near the front. We ordered the chicken variety starter and the house burger. The starter arrived within 10 minutes and was generally good. The chicken on the scewers was dry but everything else was ok and presentation was good. The mains arrived and looked fine but the burgers were overcooked and tasted like carboard. The waiter completely lost interest in us once he delivered the main course, we planned to ask for another drink but didn't get the chance to ask. He was only interested in new customers coming in. We didn't finish the burgers and chose to leave. Again it took forever to catch the writers eye and ask for the bill. We paid by the F&B App, we used the 2 for 1 mains deal, it slightly made up for the food. I like the new App to pay as you don't feel so pressured to leave a tip when people don't deserve it."
