"What ever you do don't go to this restaurant. I booked a table at 7 pm on Saturday 2nd off April for my wife's birthday as soon as we got there the staff told us they didn't have half the menu. I said can I still have a surf and turf they said they didn't have lobster but we can have a prawn on top off steak for same price as lobster. I told them that your menu on Internet says it comes with lobster the staff said that was old menu and shouldn't be on there .we walked out and went 2 doors along to a tai restaurant had brilliant meal so what ever u do don't book for a meal here manager should be sacked very rude"

"Visited on a Sunday afternoon with 3 friends...we waited just a few minutes to be seated and our lovely waiter was quickly over to take our drinks order. The service was excellent and the food delicious. The drinks were served quickly and we were more than happy that we received value for money. Lovely couple of hours..would definitely recommend and come again"

"I would like to begin by saying how I worked in Italian restaurants before and that was not on the way. carpaccio was bland with tinted artichokes. suppe was cold, lamb was described as crumbled slices and I got a fried lambskin. tiramisu was the retter and even then it hardly tasted anything. and for 110 no way to the close of the value. service was very bad came barely past and when they did everything they tried to sell, not how is their eating, really bad going"

"As someone who typically enjoys meat, it was a challenge to review a high-end vegetarian restaurant. However, we decided to give it a try for a change from our usual Indian or Lebanese vegetarian options. We were pleasantly surprised by the experimental dishes, although not everything was a hit. The Jerusalem Artichoke starter was fantastic, even though I usually don't like artichokes. On the other hand, the beetroot starter was disappointing, being overly sweet with no savory elements. The mains were just okay, nothing extraordinary. The slow-cooked egg was decent but small, while the barley starter had a good texture but was a bit strange. The shitake mushroom main was tasty but could have used a sauce. The desserts were outstanding, with the brownie and coconut desserts being especially delicious. The cocktails were also impressive, with the apple and elderflower with gin standing out as one of the best I've had. The service was excellent, with friendly and welcoming staff. Overall, it was a great experience, although we may not necessarily return for the mains. However, we would definitely come back for the starters and desserts."

"the graduation is an important meil stone in most human lives and deserves to be celebrated properly. on the big day michaels we visited bacco for dinner, a charming, rustic little italian who was looked away on the red lion street. to float through the back alleys of holborn, it is fair to say that I was just a little excited to discover the dane street."

"Today , I went there and I was really not happy, one of the employees, had bad way of talking, as soon as I got in she asked do u have any allergies, I said yeah am vegetarian, she answered back this is not allergies is preferences , I said it’s she insisted and said do you be ill or sick if u eat any kind of meat , I said yes , then said okay in bad way . I don’t know how big restaurants like this don’t give training to employees to how speak to customers and not being teacher or boss on them and keep arguing and in the end I ask the bill . She just put it down and went even did not ask how would you like to pay , luckily I had cash with me just put the money and left . Zero customer service."

"We have eaten many times at the Terrace since it opened and it seems to be sliding down on each visit. When it first opened we enjoyed the tapas style. We also eat out 2/3 times each week in top class restaurants but when visiting the NT it is easier to eat on site. The bread is poor, they defiantly need to change their supplier. The olive dip with dry crackers and breadsticks was horrible. The hot food came cold and we did not even try a fish dish on this occasion as they were so disappointing last time. We paid £65 and concluded that we would only order a glass of wine and the cheese platter if we find ourselves here again but suspect next time we will bring a sandwich to eat in the foyer."

"I have to say, having read Rachel Beck's review below, I did wonder if we went to different restaurants as our experiences couldn't have been more contrasting! My partner had reserved a table for my birthday as a surprise and had requested one on the balcony, however, was told that they couldn't guarantee it. When we arrived, we were greeted by the manager who was very friendly and a little excited to be able to offer a table on the balcony after all, knowing it was my birthday. The service was friendly, professional but fun, and in all honesty, totally faultless. The food was out of this world and very reasonably priced. I've eaten in many more expensive restaurants and not had as pleasant an experience. Nothing was too much of a problem and they even wrote a message on my desert plate and stuck a few candles in which was a nice touch. I've been going here for years for special occasions and have never had a bad experience, however, this evening was exceptional. Thank you so much "

"Walked in Alexandrie after the restaurant across the street where we were planning to dine was having a private party. We were hesitant because the place was empty however Alexandrie did not disappoint. The Tiger King Prawns were perfectly presented as were all plates and were delicious. I had the Molokheya with Chicken and the wife had the Traditional Oven Baked Okra (Bamia) with Lamb. Both very tasty. We weren’t planning on having dessert however the server requested we try their Mango Parfait; I’m a chocoholic, however this dessert was on point. Thanks Alexandrie! This was a great way for us to end our trip to London. John South Carolina"

"We eat out a lot in good and great restraurants and it takes something to impress us. Both of us thought that the meal we had at Prithvi yesterday evening was exceptional. The attention to detail is staggering, the food amazing, the service impeccable, even down to having napkins refolded when we occasionally left the table things like that really make restaurants stand out. Keep up the great work and please open one in London! Service: Dine in"

"I work really close to Jamies and have come in for lunch a few times. Last night a friend and I went in for drinks after work, the manager served us initially and we ordered gin and tonics he said that doubles were...only but we confirmed we wanted singles. All fine. We took it in turns to get drinks and after the first drink would only get tonic to share. On my round at the bar I was served by one of the barmen and I asked for silent pools and tonic I had my card out ready to pay and he mumbled the price and very quickly tapped the machine next to my card, before I could properly look at the price and I was concerned that he had over charged me, so I asked for a receipt. The barman instantly became defensive and annoyed about the fact I'd asked for a receipt and on observing the receipt he had charged me for doubles I told him that I had not asked for doubles he shrugged his shoulders and smirked, I said again that I never asked for doubles, he said you are having Silent Pool gin they are always doubles and I told him that was absolute rubbish because my friend and I had been drinking singles of Silent Pool all night. The barman got very defensive and poured the drinks away, poured new drinks and said I would have to speak to a manager, so I waited. He then served someone else. A couple of minutes later I asked have you called the manager and the barman said no I said that I was waiting there until I saw a manager the barman then got the card machine out tapped in and told me to tap or insert my card I asked how I know that is a refund and that I'm not being charged a further he then cancelled the transaction and re-entered and this time it said refund!! I tapped my card to retrieve the refund and the card machine then required a managers pin to authorise it the manager then happened to pass by I told him that I had been charged for doubles that I didn't ask for and was waiting for my refund. The manager was very efficient and asked me exactly what it was I ordered and instantly refunded me the correct amount Absolutely awful barman hoping to overcharge drunk people hoping they wont notice and then when caught tries to refund you less than what you are owed. Even though the manager was kind and helpful, I dread to think how many other people this happens to and perhaps don't notice very dishonest way to behave. I will never go back to Jamies for lunch or a drink and will advise my friends and colleagues to go elsewhere."

"During our weekend getaway in Oxford, we were delighted with our dining experience at 'The Fork' restaurant. We had a fantastic evening, starting with complimentary Cosmopolitan Cocktails after signing up for Brown's newsletter. The nibbles from the diverse menu were a great way to begin our meal. Additionally, their gluten-free options were appreciated. The service was excellent - attentive and spot on. The food was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Overall, we had an excellent experience and will definitely recommend this restaurant."

"SO disappointing! When we arrived and said we had a table booked, the table was just pointed out to us. We sat down, but no one brought menus or took a drinks order. After at least 20 minutes one of our party queued at the bar, and when it was his turn to be served was told to sit down and someone would come over. Another 15 minutes went past, then my husband stopped a waitress and asked if we could order drinks. He was told very brusquely that someone would come soon. At this point we would have had our drinks if he'd been allowed to order at the bar, but no, another 15 minute wait. Another waitress spotted that we didn't have menus, so finally brought us some. We had booked a table for 6pm as we had young children with us, but it took so long to order food and drinks, we were there much later than planned. I chose sea bream and saute potatoes, but received sea bream and boiled new potatoes, and when I questioned it, someone eventually came back and said they were saute potatoes (like none I've ever seen or would want I left them). I know it was the time of year, but the place was taken over by huge Christmas parties, which was never mentioned when we booked. Our table was in the bar, so we were surrounded by people standing and drinking, and the noise level was unbearable. When I booked, I said it was for a special birthday, and my son even brought a table decoration with us, so it was obvious what we were celebrating, but no one said a thing about it or tried to make our experience special. We felt like an inconvenience, as obviously they only cared about the Christmas parties. Sadly, this is not my first visit to the Falcon Hotel, but it will be my last, especially as having eaten at another restaurant in Bude the night before where the food was superb and we were treated very well. I know where I will eat in the future."

"among a large number of fried chicken restaurants, almost food joints and numerous bangladeshi restaurants is a rustic Italian restaurant with an excellent environment. on Wednesday afternoon for lunch I was amazed to see a style similar to that of a first class restaurant. the restaurant was relatiw full for a Wednesday afternoon in mile ende. the menu consisted of a few dressed in different categories that you would see in any Italian restaurants, but with a higher complication. the waiter came to explain the daily specialties that burrata with black truffles shave up and spaghetti with truffle both for reasonable prices. my friend ordered a margherita pizza that arrived with basilikum and parmesan cheese on the side. the pizza was thin crispy crust with a delicious tomato sauce, a simple dish, but prepared for a very high standard. I ordered the rabbit ragout, which was also very tasty and the pasta came al dente, I also ordered burrata with black truffles, both were very tasty. there was a formal environment with a dedicated wine menu. the waiter explained to me that the restaurant was only open two months. this restaurant can be seen as a hidden gem in mile ende and is definitely recommended to appreciate the good hearty Italian cuisine. prices can be slightly high compared to the surrounding restaurants, but for the quality of food and the ingredients it is definitiv a trip and worth the money."

"Booked a table through Opentable only to be told when we arrived it was closed for a private event. Total waste of time and with 7 people (4 adults and 3 children) we struggled to get anywhere else closeby. Awful that you can book and they dont even see it Manager said it was impossible to book online but i received the confirmation "

"Banyan on the Thames is a nomenclatural inexactitude because the banyan tree is an inhabitant of the Indian subcontinent, rather than being passed off as a floating ficus on the Thames. Belonging as it does to the fig family, the original banyan drops spectacular aerial roots from its branches to the ground beneath its immense verdant canopy, producing a most unique treat for the eyes. The name of this tree has been appropriated by the Raphael on the Left Bank hotel in London for its restaurant. Maybe it aptly symbolises the roots of the restaurant being in the subcontinent. What strikes one about the place on first sight is someone's apparent obsession with the Medusa, signifying the Versace brand, which appears on every table top and virtually all over. The second striking feature is the artificial grass laid out both indoors and outside in the so called “garden” where there is a profusion of fake flowers, creepers and shrubs. It looks tacky and creepy and screams fake. The atmosphere in the so called garden, was not helped by the music played at decibels that are designed to hurt the ear drums. Food was fair to middling in quality, taste and presentation. The standard of service was reasonable. On the other hand, the location is magical. You can spend quite a while looking out through the large glass windows as the world goes by. The Thames flows quietly, more water under Battersea bridge, while you are people watching. And if you are feeling energetic, one has the opportunity of course to refresh oneself by striding along the Thames in the company of others who may be ambling, jogging and strolling. In conclusion, it’s really nothing to write home about"

"This is one of my favorite places, one of those you never get sick of going over and over. Maybe because I'm italian and sometimes I want to feel like home and taste some of the flavours that I miss so much FOOD: Simple. They use proper ingredients and thy cook simple Italian dishes very well. The interesting part is that they have usual dishes that you can always find and then they like to create new dishes, so there is always something new to try. Go for a starter, bruschetta or charcuterie with some wine. Pasta is very well cooked, get the seafood spaghetti or sometimes the have fresh tortelli with ricotta! The meat is good as well, like the brasayo or if you are lucky they will have...read more"
