"Went in and ordered via the app, was given the option to choose for the kids meals to come out asap or with mains so ticked asap. By the time we had finishes the kids food still wasn’t here so I went up to check (there wasn’t many people in either) asked at the counter to be told by a young lady the chef is plating yours now.. as I walked away I heard the chef turn round to the girl and say “well that’s what you get for having your carvery before your kids food arrives dosent it” I did stop and was going to turn round and confront him but I didn’t want to make a scene espically infront of my children. When the kids food was brought I mentioned to the girl that o heard what he said and I’m not happy about it and that his customer service was shocking, to which she replied “yeah he’s always like that people comment about his bad service all the time. I was going to speak to the management about it but clearly after that comment they don’t care either."

"Had a really lovely lunch here last sunday. The roast was very good and well cooked (and im extremely fussy). Big portions, lots of very fresh and not soggy greens, lashings of gravy and good quality meat. The desserts were delicious!!! As an F&B owner myself i know how hard it is to find staff at the moment but the whole team were great. We particularly loved the new owner who we had the pleasure of meeting when he showed us the rooms (they looked lovely too, very clean and nice attention to detail). Thanks all and we will be back ! Vegetarian options: My uncle loved his roast mushroom dish! Kid-friendliness: No one seemed to mind my very lpud toddler! Food: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"I had been out for a lovely walk in the area and whilst staying over close by one of the locals when having a coffee recommended this little place to try . So as i like to try new places why not. And i can say i wasnt disappointed. From first seeing the place from the outside it was lovely and seemed very inviting. Lovely seating area . Walking in it was tastefully decorated and modern . Areas inside seemed warm and inviting. Found a lovely little corner with my friends and decided to have a drink first while scouring the menu. Bar staff very friendly and chatty on arrival which made it seem like a very friendly place. Seemed very knowledgeable about the area and advised of other places to try . So decided on a drink and a scour of the menu. They didnt disappoint . Seemed to have a good menu choice and catered for all of our party including veggie options. Once meal arrived the food looked well presented and inviting. Smelt and tasted delicious. Staff checking if everything was ok was a nice touch too. No problems with out meal. I myself decided on Katsu Curry and it was delicious. Great portion sizes and not one complaint between us . Defo a winner in my book. Bar Manager seemed very friendly and approachable when passing asking if everything was ok. On leaving we had nothing but good reports about the place. Next day we again went back for the Sunday lunch and again not disappointed. Very friendly staff again, delicious sunday roast and a lovely cozy atmosphere to boot. This is defo going to be a new place to frequent on visits to Boweness. SO big massive shout out to this place and the team fab job ! one happy customer and i will be spreading the words to other colleagues of mine who work within the hospital and mention what a hidden gem this place is. "My wife and I visited for the valentine's Sunday roast course meal, we have ordered online delivery on a few occasions so it nice to actually go into the restaurant. We were met by really nice young waiter who was very attentive and pleasant....We both opted for the beetroot hummus starter which was so tasty, probably one of the best we've had. Then we had the nut-less roast which was so tasty and filling. We couldn't fit our afters in as we were full up, so we kindly asked the waitress to box it up to take home in which she kindly obliged. I had the passion cake and my wife had the brownie. We enjoyed them also. We can't wait to visit again soon."

"We had to wait for thirty minutes outside in the cold because the restaurant was crowded. We didn't really have much interaction with the staff, so we can't comment on their service. The decor on the walls and menus might be off-putting for vegans who are sensitive to such things, as they had drawings of animals with lines through them. The Beyond Meat options were delicious as always, but the burgers we ordered were a bit too salty for our liking. However, some people might enjoy that taste. Despite these minor issues, we overall had a pleasant experience at the restaurant."

"we have dined here as a family and the place was dirty. the menus were so sticky that we couldn't open them. the table was dirty. the food was in order, but could have been better. the whole place was too dark and let us ask if they didn't really light up the restaurant because it would look even worse in good lighting. the staff were friendly and quickly brought us our food, but the venue needs attention to meet the standards we expect."

"I always enjoy dining at the lounges, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover how lively this street is! The food is truly delicious, and it’s greatly appreciated. While the pints are pricier than those at the Wetherspoons next door, the much better menu makes it worth it. The cocktails look fantastic, and I can’t wait to try them as well. They also have different offers on various days. The interior is spacious, and there’s a lovely outdoor area too. The food selection is extensive, and the cozy decor with candles creates a warm atmosphere. I will definitely be back! Plus, there's a large parking area behind the restaurant that’s free after 6 PM, making it ideal for dinner."

"This vegan restaurant is a fantastic place to eat. In addition to their scrumptious menu, they also have a deli next door that offers salad bowls and vegan products for sale. We visited for a late lunch on Saturday and found plenty of seating. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the oreo milkshake, which I highly recommend! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, which was especially appreciated since my son doesn't like salads in his burgers. One thing to note is that they do not sell hot drinks, but you can easily pop over to the deli next door to grab one."

"I stayed here in the motorhome through Britstops and found everyone extremely friendly and helpful with no pressure to frequent the pub for food and drinks. However, when I booked to stay they booked a table for me in case I wanted a meal, which was greatly appreciated as it was extremely busy. The food, service and hospitality was excellent and I would unreservedly recommend it to anyone. We will be returning next week as visiting family and looking forward to staying again. Thank you. "With several local friends we visited the Old Hunstanton Beach Cafe for Christmas dinner yesterday, the meal and friendly staff made it a special event that would have been a credit to any top restaurant. As locals we meet regular visitors who would never miss a trip to the best beach cafe in Norfolk whenever in the area. The quality of the varied food, catering for all tastes, can never be faulted on quality or price, and five gold stars is not enough to describe the food available. "We visited last night and were disappointed. Having previously been and had a reasonable experience we went again with friends. It seems the owners have gone the route of reducing portion size drastically and limiting quality somewhat. I understand there is pressure on restaurants to maintain a living for it's staff and owners. However, I would prefer to pay more for a good meal that I enjoy rather than come away £25 over her worse off with a sense of disappointment and needing to eat something else on getting home due to the small portion sizes of the starters and main courses. We won't visit again"

"Having eaten here numerous times I can only say it is now a very hit and miss experience, depending on who is in charge at the time, who is the cook obviously not chefs as they are only reheating food and frying chips . of the hour 1 Tables not cleared, I can't believe there was a mass exodus for all the empty tables to be strewn with dirty plates and glasses. It is acceptable for one or two, but not the majority of tables, though in retrospect when I went up to the bar and asked for it to be wiped down it was done politely and promptly,2 Breakfast tepid food and cold plates.3 Lasagne, has at some times been excellent, and a nicely prepared side , salad but lately chipped salad dish, cucumber more like doorsteps than thinly sliced and lasagne only warm. 4 To finish, yesterday, fish day, fish nice chips, mushy peas and plate cold and . no available staff on the floor to air my grievance to."

"Newcastle on a wet and dreery day turn up to a wetherspoons pub 'The Five Swans ', absolutely lovely interior and welcoming atmosphere. Arrived here with a family of six in early so accessable seating and plenty of room. Service was beyond what I expected from a young university gentleman with superb manners. "We visited the Fiddlers Arms Friday 23rd August our experience was not acceptable if that is that they value their customers. We waited for a table got one by the window ordered our food they never checked on us to see if we were enjoying it they removed the plates never asked if we wanted desserts; my partner went to the bar to order another drink for himself they brought it across to the table he was half way through the drink when a member of staff came across and said they wanted the table back in 25mins in other words drink up and clear off. We just asked for the bill and left the annoying thing was when we left there was empty tables everywhere a 6 seater sharing table next to us empty a table of 2 empty and nearly all the tables at the other side of the bar all empty, the bar stools were all taken but we were not even offered another table if it was just our table they wanted back. We live in Edinburgh we have supported that bar for many years and until Friday had some happy memories. The owners might like to remember that we are the people that they are happy to have in the bar when the tourist season is not so busy. When walking home we passed many bars with people sat in and out chilling with a drink after their meals and I just wondered why I bothered to go to the Fiddlers Arms ruined evening. You don’t deserve loyal customers."

"21 October 2021: what a nice warm and welcoming coffee shop. the exterior is extremely attractive and the interior is beautiful. the personal was amazing, very friendly, welcoming and attentive. the menu selection is very seductive and has a good selection of food, cake and the alcoholic and alcohol-free drinks are available well and offers for everyone. we have immersed a few lunch and drinks here and we were not disappointed as eating was freshly prepared, cooked and delicious and my bottle speckled hen was perfect together with the white zinfandel wein too. the prices are very reasonable and good for the great food and drinks. our choice for lunch was a part of their "dirty loaded chips with speck, cheese and spicy mayo, teuflisch tasty. and a blt (bacon, salat and tomato) on sewn brown brot roasted sandwich with fresh salad beautifully dressed also. one of the best blt 's I had in very long time. so fresh and the speck stacked and also from this world...wow! many thanks to all the employees and bosses, they are all stars and we are back in every case, especially for their afternoon correct tea session! they also make with the take-away and have a seating area in the open for sunny days! we recommend this caffe and definitiw a visit worth when in market drayton city center."

"Went to this venue with a few friends having seen it was rated #1 in the local area. Food I got a tomahawk steak with all the usual extras. It was decent. Best steak I’ve had, no, but was cooked well. Sauce didn’t blow me away. Main itself was good but not mind blowing. Got sticky toffee for dessert and again, it was good, but not overwhelming. Service we had to prompt the staff to ask for dessert which wasn’t ideal. Atmosphere they had a live singer. He was decent but didn’t really add any real value to the experience. Overall A decent enough venue with above average food. Is it worthy of the best restaurant in the town. Probably not. Would recommend for casual dining but for a special occasion I’d venture elsewhere"
