"I've been going after shante for a few years and I'm sorry to check it out as okay, but it's not what it used to be. eating the same tapas menu has been for several months and not particularly interesting for vegetarians. I ordered a special tapa of garlic bread with chili and rocket disappointing the brot was thin cut and rocket was yellow and shoved. I was surprised that everyone cook with self-esteem was happy to use it and that the waiting staff did not ask it. it was a special one, if ingredients do not take it up to scratch!"

"Easy to find a space outside, greeted by a helpful receptionist. we loved our room, room 1. so spacious and clean and lovely décor and great view of the square. Really liked the Bramely products and bathroom with very hot water. We grabbed a drink before dinner, great atmosphere in the bar and noticed the Gm being very attentive to the guests. The dinner was lovely, we weren't so keen on some of the main dishes but equally happy picking a burger and a steak we also really enjoyed breakfast the next day and the tall waiter sorry cant remember his name) was very nice and had great interaction. "We were really looking forward to this reservation as we have heard about Rosa Madre for a long time. Little details like the cutlery, wine glasses and plates as second to none. The hostess was friendly and welcoming. The decor was nice and cosy but i think for a table of 2 you're kind of shoved down the side where it was very busy as the kitchen was at the other end. Now for the food... Prawn starter was tasty, plenty of prawns, maybe a bit too much going on with the sauces had like 3 maybe 4 different varieties of tastes. The burrata was one of the nicest we have ever eaten The mains we got Cavatelli with Sausages Ragu and a fillet steak. We got a bottle of Primitivo which was delicious and complimented the food really well. We didnt get desert but the knew it was my wives birthday so they brought us out a tiramisu and it was SO light and tasty im not a desert fan or coffee but i have to say it was really really nice. "Had a great overnight stay at the Spread Eagle Inn at Sawley, after a lovely afternoon walk from the pub front door (leaflets are available at the bar) we checked in about 4pm. We received a friendly welcome on arrival then we were directed to our room, the whole of the building was spotlessly clean, tidy and well maintained, looked as though it had had a recent refurb. Our room was the same, warm comfortable and very clean including the bathroom. The food in the restaurant was great both for dinner and breakfast, the staff were amazing and really looked after us, nothing was too much trouble. We’ll definitely be returning."

"We had a fantastic lunch at this restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The concept involves sharing plates, but it's not necessarily tapas. With their recommendations, we tried a variety of starters and then as a group, we all enjoyed a delicious 2kilo+ steak with sides. The steak was cooked perfectly and even the simple green salad was tasty. The wine list is extensive and a bit overwhelming, but the staff were helpful in choosing a smooth and velvety Ribera del Duero Red. We dined during lunchtime and the restaurant was quiet, but the elegant and relaxing atmosphere made for a pleasant experience. We left feeling excited to have discovered a new favorite spot for food lovers. Delicious!"

"Had a roast here, was very nice. Only down side was we looked at the menu online to see they did Turkey, but when we arrived they didn't have any. a little bit disappointed as we picked this pla e for the Turkey Roast. Had the beef instead and it was lovely. My partner had the Lamb which was also tender and lovely. Will definitely be back again, hopefully when they are serving Turkey . Price per person: £40–50"

"Below average. The food was, at best, ok. Little flavor. Half the people on our table didn 't finish their dishes because they didn 't enjoy it. My tagliatelle Alfredo was supposed to have a 30 yo Parmesan cheese but I could not taste any Parmesan at all. The waiter that was taking our orders seemed annoyed, or tired, or something else, but showed no interest in being pleasant. The restaurant is nicely decorated tough. I wouldn 't recommend this restaurant based on our experience today."

"Staying on business. Decided to try this place as it was no 6 on Tripadvisor The whole time I was there, I was the only customer. The host was super friendly. Music was great. Over the years I must have eaten in over 200 Indian restaurants and I can honestly say that this was one of the worst ! All of the food was so over cooked it was terrible. Even the rice was burnt. The nan bread was like a brick. I complained and the host brought the chef out who just shrugged his shoulders, smiled at me and walked off. Appalling ! I won’t be going back."

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"Great food and fantastic for the Aldwych theatres. Manager was very friendly. Need to keep an eye on the service as waiters appeared tired and not overly good English. As a result we witnessed an autocation between a waiter and a customer that was pretty much down to language issues. Not terribly pricey for Central London and gold menu. Advised to book at weekends and evenings as evidently theatres plus KC London plus Law Courts make it very busy. Overall pretty good."

"We stumbled upon this hotel and booked it at the last minute, and we were fortunate to get a room! The accommodations were immaculate, spacious, and the bathroom was lovely. The bed was incredibly comfortable as well. We had dinner at the hotel, and it was truly outstanding. As food enthusiasts, we often have critiques about our meals, but this one was flawless. Breakfast was also enjoyable and very satisfying. I highly recommend this place to anyone, and if I find myself in the area again, this will be my go-to hotel."

"This is the worst experience I have ever had. I really wish I could get my money back. It was very loud, disorganized and terrible overall. The waiters didn't know which tables belonged to them. The people there were incredibly loud, enough to visibly disturb everyone else, and nobody did anything about it. The food was badly seasoned and cooked. The portions were tiny. Never come here, never. It is a terrible hotel restaurant."

"Initial service was good but once we had our meal delivered we were ignored and left with our dirty plates for at least half an hour. Eventually the plates were removed we asked for coffee which was ignored and the bill bought over. Partly due to this delay and a disruptive group next to us 5 adults and 3 children crammed on a table for 6 we left as soon as we could."

"The restaurant was spotless and had some really thorough but sensible covid measures in place. We ate inside and had lots of room around our table. Having fewer tables meant it was quiet and perhaps not the hustle and bustle we were used to but this is completely understandable given the covid context! The food was absolutely delicious, me and my kids loved the food. You order for kids from the adult menu but you can customise to suit kids’ preferences. The staff were friendly, attentive and really thoughtful in their interactions with us. Overall a brilliant experience and we will be back"

I had invited some important customers to dinner and once we were ready to order, we were informed that 90% of the menu was not available! this has never been told to us when I have reserved! they claim they have only reopened 2 days ago after a 5 weeks break so that the only seafood they had was the seabarsch! no pesto that Italian restaurant runs out of pesto? no spasm, no lobster, no burrata in the grunde they had only psychic, tomaten, penne, aubergine and a combination of these 4 articles only! the waiter talked to such an attitude, is what it is and I'm sorry that I can't do anything about it! worst dining experience...read more"

"Very good dining, exceptional service. Above all a really nice blend of smart dining but in a really relaxed setting. They’ve achieved a really good balance between making a visit feel special but without making it too formal, i.e: you’re very much able to relax...but it’s still a restaurant worth visiting. I’m lucky as it’s local, but if I wasn’t, I’d happily travel an hour to get to The Bustard Inn; it’s worth it. Place looks nice, proper country pub restaurant, food is stunningly presented. We had three courses, each and every one elicited an ‘oooh’ when it was put in front of us. Didn’t just look nice, everything was delicious too, cooked just right, good judgement of how many flavours and which ones would work well together. Definitely an experience worth recommending, when friends come to visit from outside the area it’ll be our ‘go to’ place when we want to impress a bit but more importantly have a lovely night."

"After booking a short stay in Edinburgh for Easter, I decided to try out this restaurant for our first meal. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it turned out to be just a short walk from where we were staying. This worked out perfectly after a long and tiring 6-hour journey. The staff at the restaurant were exceptional and the quality of the meals was impressive, catering to all dietary preferences. I was particularly impressed by the delicious vegan meal I ordered, and my family thoroughly enjoyed their choices as well. Our waiter, who I unfortunately didn't catch the name of, was welcoming and knowledgeable. He even shared interesting information about the cafe's concept, which involves three different themed stores around Edinburgh. We finished off the evening back at our apartment, sharing a fantastic vegan dessert. Overall, it was an amazing start and a great first experience in Edinburgh."
