"I've been going after shante for a few years and I'm sorry to check it out as okay, but it's not what it used to be. eating the same tapas menu has been for several months and not particularly interesting for vegetarians. I ordered a special tapa of garlic bread with chili and rocket disappointing the brot was thin cut and rocket was yellow and shoved. I was surprised that everyone cook with self-esteem was happy to use it and that the waiting staff did not ask it. it was a special one, if ingredients do not take it up to scratch!"

Good food, we had a selection of 6 tapas dishes and they were all excellent. Tasty wine (the Sauvignon Blanc and excellent tea and coffe to follow. Friendly, efficient service and a good atmosphere. The quiet Sunday evening was great for chatting.

The service was non existent. Waited 15 mins to give drinks order then had to wait half an hour for our table to be cleared! No dessert menu or check in to make sure we were ok for drinks. It was not busy and the waitress just stood and dried cutlery. I had to ask her to clear our table. I am so disappointed as I usually love this place. Not sure if i will be back.

The slow-cooked beef was perfection, but the sauce slightly oily. The toast that came with the delicious terrine was rock-hard and just disintegrated. My date (my wife) sang the praises of the herb-crusted hake. My only real objection was that the lighting was VERY dim, to the extent that it was tricky to distinguish different parts of the food. Overall, though, it was excellent value.

We visit Sante regularly and always have a good experience however some of the regular waiting staff were not on duty and we felt we waited for quite some time for service. It is perhaps as we were in the back of the restaurant and there appears more focus at the front so we were slightly disappointed with the waiting time. The food is good and the staff are very friendly and there is a relaxed atmosphere which is pleasant. We will return but perhaps ask to be seated elsewhere.
