Savory and cheesy, topped with pepperoni, sausage, ham, bacon, and melted mozzarella on a crispy crust.

"My blush wine was warm and my lamb grissly. I wanted to see if my daughter in law wanted to drink wine and said to server but he still got me a glass of wine which was what I originally asked for but then said I’d like to wait as may order a bottle. By the time I ordered a bottle, before my glass of wine turned up, I was told too late as it had been put through. I get he was young, maybe I should have made more of a stand. Wasn’t the end of the world but nonetheless, annoying. Would I rush back, no, would I recommend, maybe. I’ve had better but this experience soured previous ones."

"Th food and location are great. Free parking for customers if you register at the bar. Great choice available. I had the chicken salad and they were happy to swap the bacon for Goats cheese. The chocolate and peanut bomb was everything you could ask for in a dessert! The service was a bit slow as it took nearly 45 mins to get our mains but we were chatting. If I was in a rush it may have been a problem!"

"Stopped by here for lunch today. It was a beautiful sunny day so we chose a table outside at the front of the hotel. We placed our order at the bar; one steak sandwich, a flatbread wrap with Mediterranean vegetables and two IPA beers. The food quality was ok but the customer service was diabolical. Three young staff were serving customers seated outside and not one of them could raise a smile let alone engage in conversation. Our food was delivered but no cutlery. Our waiter said that cutlery would follow; we were not asked if we required any condiments so I asked for salt/ pepper, mayonnaise and ketchup. A young waitress came back to the table after several minutes and delivered the cutlery, salt/ pepper and mayonnaise but no ketchup. She placed all items in the centre of the table sweeping them off of the tray and saying ‘ here’s your cutlery!’ Quite frankly you would get better service in a back street cafe. I observed other customers being treated similarly. All tables were served with food first and cutlery second. What’s the point of delivering hot food if you cannot eat it straight away? That has to be the fault of management in not training staff to deliver the basic table set ups first ahead of food delivery. All in all a very disappointing experience."

"It was extremely busy had to wait for 40 minutes before getting seated even though we had booked. The waiter tried hard but kept forgetting our drinks getting them wrong I really don't know why they can't write it down! I had the lamb roast dinner it should of been called a lamb fat roast dinner as there was hardly any meat just fat, we also asked for gravey which was meant to be bottomless all we got was a dribble on the plate when we asked for more it never turned up. Then to top it off the waiter gave us the wrong bill we only realised when he had taken our money then practically accused us of changing the bill (not sure how on earth we could of done that) then as we owed extra money we paid using a card machine which broke 3 times, the waiter was then practically banging it on the side getting very angry. So we won't be going back."

"The food at this restaurant, which used to be excellent, now seems average. The chips were soggy and lacking in flavor, while my husband's fried chicken was not actually fried. However, the stuffing was tasty, but there was very little of it. Due to understaffing, we had to repeatedly ask for the bill and eventually had to go to the bar to pay. It's disappointing that the quality of the restaurant has decreased. Additionally, our table reservation was not recorded."

"A real hidden/ unknown gem... as a gluten intolerant diner, I get so annoyed when we aren't catered for (half the stuff taken off the plate, but yet still charged the extortionate amount).... NOT here.. I've been a few times now and have thoroughly enjoyed each time. The manager is attentive, friendly and a real character! He takes time and effort to entertain the children, make sure they are catered for so the adults can enjoy their food. The service is great, the food is amazing and if you're a gluten free eater, you have to try this restaurant/ pub.. it's so random as it's literally on a roundabout between east grinstead and Crawley... but 100% worth the trip... id definitely book, though!! Enjoy x"

"A most beautiful venue inside and out with a touch of class, great food and river views. Ordered a share platter of meze food which was delicious with sides. We were well looked after by Stacey and other staff who served us. Booking is reccomended as its a popular place and easy to see why if you want to dine in the restaurant. Thank you for accepting the blue light card and supporting the services. A highly reccomended venue a must visit if in the area."

"eating and the ambiente are always beautiful here. but at this opportunity, despite booking with opentable a few days ahead and receive email confirmation of the same, they had no recording of our booking. they found us a table, but he was in a crowded opposite in the main street. either the old bulls head or opentable must examine how our booking was not registered by the restaurant."

"Service was indifferent. Was offered water at table. Had to ask for it again. Offered bread to share at the table didn’t realise it was billed at £6.50 Selected wine from list price printed didn’t match what they had on tablet. Was told they’d deduct the difference, but when the bill arrived, it wasn’t. Wine “waiter” just poured the glasses walked away. Fortunately it was fine. The food was good all credit to the kitchen staff on turning out attractive, tasty dishes. The Saxon Mill won’t feature on our list to revisit for a long time."

"We were drawn here by the history of the venue. As Rolling Stones fans, my friend and I wanted to visit the place that their career really took off, as the resident band at what was then the Station Hotel. However, it went from being...somewhere to visit to an unmissable destination. The food was superb and reasonably priced, and the service by the friendly and attentive staff, Rachel and Dani, could not be faulted. As real ale enthusiasts, we were a little disappointed that the only real ale' on offer was the ubiquitous Doombar but my alternative Guinness was delicious. We will definitely return here and I thoroughly recommend anyone in the Richmond to try this delightful place or even make a special trip. You won't regret it."

"Nice pub, what you would expect from a red lion. Food menu is larger than most. Burgers, classic mains, scallops, burgers, pizza and steaks plus the healthy salads and main options too. There really is a lot to choose from. I tried the koftas for starters. No picture, didn't really deserve one if I'm honest. The salad was nice but was sort of plonked on the plate. The kofta was dry and was actually just 3 meatballs on sticks. Forgot my sides, the crispy pork belly was OK. The fish and chips were good. Nothing overwhelming or outstanding. Supremely average however there was a very good bar keep! She was young and lived on a boat. She's a star, very good service. I shall return just to see if the menu should reach as far as it says! I really hope it does as its such a lovely pub."

"In summary, Ming is a typical Chinese restaurant that is slightly above average. The building lacks traditional Chinese aesthetics with its plain white walls and tablecloths. The service is quick and the menu offers a good selection of vegetarian options. The portions are generous and the food is decent, although not exceptional. Prices are reasonable. Overall, it's a solid choice for a casual meal, but not a must-visit destination."

"Manager owner whoever she was needs to stay back of house! We should have known it wasnt going to be great when the bottle of wine was plonked on the table, the lid still on we had to pour the first glass ourselves. We Had the shared Camembert to start that came out cold, with burnt toast no chutney! Whilst we were still eating realising the above on the starter our mains arrived. Mouth full having to make space for the mains beef fillet salad which was a starter size at 13 Was not fillet but more Minute steak was put down in front of us while we balanced side plates and had to re-use cheese covered cutlery. Before we could say anything thing the manager owner who ever she was was gone! Never to be seen again until she came to take our money, she rudely put down the bill never asked how everything was , slammed down the terminal and turned away for the PIN. Payment received, she then proceeded to waive the receipt to be taken from her fingers. Rude! Needless to say the food has gone down and so has the service since the last time I visited this establishment. Pity as its a pretty pub inside."

"I have always enjoyed eating in white hard, but this last experience was quite sad. we waited for almost an hour for the main meal to come to the table. we sat next to the door that led into the kitchen, so a lot of traffic that went in feet of me, occasional staff joined the door to go through the kitchen, I found that unpleasant. where I sat, the walkway was narrow and other customers beat into my chair and my partner chair. beside us was a rather enthusiastic man on a first date that dominated talk about us. the sadst part was this a meal to celebrate my sonny birthday, his uncle, I and my partner apologized for a disappointing evening. the white hard is a brilliant place to have a meal, but not this at night"

"First of all, the table we booked online was not available when we arrived at the pub, so we had to wait for a short time. The service was quite sluggish. We had to ask for water to be brought to our table twice. The waitress seemed unfamiliar with the dessert options. The dessert we ordered, which we were told was a new addition to the menu, ended up being a disappointment. It resembled a piece of frozen arctic roll with a scoop of ice cream on top, all covered in some meringue. It shouldn't have been served at all and definitely needs to be taken off the menu."

"Really happy to see this chain- Country Inn offers vegan menus, I think it's fabulous. The “church” I received for £13- or more than a spa house, however, was an insult. It was a bunch of lumpy rice with a small serving spoon size of sauce and some boiled vegetables underneath. I actually felt really angry when I saw it- they think it is acceptable to calculate £13 for this; I still think it's because it's from the vegan menu and they think we're too beautiful to say something! Wrong! It was sent back and exchanged for a delicious but small Hassburger. They either have to drop their blackmailed prices or make the portions bigger."

"This was our second visit to the Bulls Head, both times we were in Birmingham to visit exhibitions at the Excel Centre and on this occasion specifially chose to stay in this area so we could visit the Bulls Head on Friday night. The food and wine were definitely as we remembered and didn't disappoint! There was a great choice on the main menu and also a good selection of daily specials as well. However, on this occasion we were disappointed with the level of service we experienced. Both the restaurant and bar were very busy but both areas appeared to be under staffed for a Friday night. We had to chase drinks that we ordered on a couple of occasions, we waited quite a long time for our order to be taken and our waiter appearted to be rushed and under pressure with the number of people he needed to serve. Saying that, the standard and quality of the food made up for it and we would definitely visityagain!"

"We came here for Sunday roast, only to be told after being seated and receiving our drinks that there was no beef available. We ended up having pork instead, and I requested only peas for my vegetables. When our food arrived, I only had peas on my plate, without sausage, bacon, or crackling, while my wife had all the components. After asking for my wife's vegetables and my missing crackling and sausage, my wife received hers and I eventually got my sausage, but the crackling was never brought out. They did reduce our bill without us asking at the end, but overall it was not a great experience. The week before, we came in for lunch and they were also out of chicken, so it seems they need to improve their stock management."

"Disappointing. Ignored when we first walked in as two staff members by reception intent on sorting admin rather than attend to paying customers. Decor in need of redecoration. Wall lights with bulbs not working. Restaurant only appeared to be 25% full on a Saturday night, but still seated next to table of 8 , family gathering with small children. Food fairly average; eg deep fried Brie just one lump of Brie with poor garnish. On receiving the bill, waiter pushing too hard for a tip: writes on invoice that not included, tells me and then reminds me as he hands me the card reader. Unsurprisingly, not rushing to return..."
