"I haven 't been to the Windmill for ages but thought I 'd try it again as was with a vegetarian friend and assumed the choice would be better than my local pub. Unfortunately, there were a couple of veggie dishes that weren 't available and the waitress wasn 't knowledgeable enough about the ones that were ie, what 'plants ' are in the plant based burgers, answer 'quinoa and spinach ' this wasn 't the case. The pub looked unloved and uncared for. No plants in the big planters outside, just cigarette butts and tables needing a good wash down. A plastic bag full of rubbish and other debris was in the car park when we arrived and was still there next day when we picked up my friends car at 1pm. Broken window on side door with wooden piece over it. Furniture (chairs) rickety and broken. Toilets dirty and with plant pots, again with no plants in them. Needs a good clean and a lot of love. Staff friendly enough. Food 'fair ' but nothing exciting. You need to keep up M&B, the pub world has moved on and you seem to be stuck in a rut. Windlesham is a beautiful area and needs a damn good pub unfortunately it isn 't the Windmill. I 'm hoping for some action so I can come back again and have a lovely time."

That said they weren’t expecting us, we didn’t have a dinner reservation as they stopped participating in open table several months ago

Lovely roast, I asked for extra gravy that was delicious. The meat (I had a trio of meats roast) was gorgeous, the Yorkshire was huge and yummy. Great service. Would highly recommend View menu

Nice ambiance; good friendly, attentive service, but first drinks took a while ,good menu choice too. Mini desert hot drink is a winner. Choice of 3 Alcohol free beers lagers is good, although the ale variant is one I'd give a miss next time

In summary, Ming is a typical Chinese restaurant that is slightly above average. The building lacks traditional Chinese aesthetics with its plain white walls and tablecloths. The service is quick and the menu offers a good selection of vegetarian options. The portions are generous and the food is decent, although not exceptional. Prices are reasonable. Overall, it's a solid choice for a casual meal, but not a must-visit destination.

"stovells chobham surrey it is a hidden gem of this place with its South American influenced French theme menu. home made stovells gin is the series of the day my ex-college girl has made, now excellent chef fernando, and younger has come far. he will be on Saturday's kitchen this week with chef james martin, probably talking about the Mexican and Argentine punsch he put into his eating. the settings are more homely, but this is chobham for them a real quantendorf that is fucked somewhere in deep surrey. the entrance was greeted by a warm open fire from dried of wood and a cocktail or two. low ceilings, but the beams make them feel like they could go into a very lush pub! amuse bouche was a beautiful surprise, and the wood fired baked brot was delicious. smoked butter to go with it. grilled makrele, terrine, braided brisket, cadjau, petit pois asacienne and a whisper of chard all washed with a fine Spanish white, made it a very Mediterranean afternoon with a much taste and a beautiful environment too. the restaurant was full and the chairs were really comfortable, we enjoyed it immensely. my schokopude was perfectly plated and I loved the milcheis that came with him. the cheese selection was incredibly well thought-out and well presented with its own small card! 10/10 well made chef fernando, happy to see how great her restaurant does: and thank you for her generousness"
