"This is a gorgeous restaurant with great food, Visited here NYE 07 and had a great night. Menu was really good with a large specials board also on offer. Had a small wait for our table where we had a drink at the bar, great variety of drinks and champers if its a special occasion. Food was delicious and although not cheap was very well priced for the quality of food being served. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again."

it took a long time before our food arrived because the pub was very busy and they had very few employees. the food was good and I enjoyed the meal.

love this pub. large selection of beer and a nice menu. in the summer the hof is nice to sit. in winter it has a cozy open fire and a friendly atmosphere.

Great food but utterly awful service had to ask twice for anything and waited ages for drinks, gravy, tea and coffee very poor when it wasn’t that busy and there seemed to be plenty of staff

food quality, service and venue was pretty good, but food is overpriced to me. I chose bauch schwein and skallops, at a price of £19, and the portion size of the bauch gay was laughable and there were only 2 scallops (in the half to make 4 pieces).

a miserable greeting from a young lady, could not crack a smile when she tried to we were next to the stairs people up and down in her room windy and frightened place. we were not impressed by everything we will not be back and will not disturb our friends in the camper club.

the food and the service began at thirty-seven. eat well, but gloomy are a bit hit and miss. the five pounds of lemon melodies was a lemon cured teete with a tiny Meringue nest that was balanced above. our waitress was polite, but the service time was dismantled with the fully booked restaurant.

"We had dinner in Peel 's as part of the hotel 's 'midweek staycation ' package, and decided to treat ourselves to the wine flight to accompany it. Service was attentive yet laid back throughout, in keeping with the decor and ambience. Fresh seasonal produce takes pride of place on this menu reflecting the sustainable ethos at the heart of the restaurant and hotel. Each course was well balanced and perfectly executed, with the pace of the menu just perfect, leaving you wanting more right up until dessert. Carrot and beetroot dishes were earthy and exciting, and truly celebrated the produce at the heart of them. The beef brisket dish was a stand out course for me, rich, deep and full of flavour yet balanced with the mushrooms. We felt that the wine flight offered a good balance of familiar and more adventurous/challenging wines. (We each gave 5/6 of the wines a thumbs up not the same 5 though.... a solid reminder that personal preference is subjective! The sommelier gave us a good amount of information and the chance to ask questions without being overbearing. The whole experience including the food, wine, service and atmosphere was right up our street we hope to be back before too long. NB I note some previous comments re drinks options in the bar we found that when we asked there was a greater selection than appears on the bar menu and staff were all to happy to discuss the options with us."
