"Pros and cons to this visit. First of all they were very catering when we changed the time and party size, was no issue doing this. We were seated quickly and served quickly by a very friendly lady. Starters took a while to come and you could tell there weren’t many people working in the kitchen. Both starters and mains were delicious and they were enjoyed by all. When it came to paying we had tesco vouchers (which I have used many a time before and had no issue). The lady tried to scan but it wasn’t working. She then had to write down the code and amount for each voucher (there were quite a few because of how tesco issue them out). The lady was very nice and wrote them all down. There were 2 I didn’t know the amount of as they were older but in date vouchers. She explained needed to know amount so I gave the two amounts but couldn’t confirm which was which( not thinking this would be a problem). The manager then came over and in an angry tone explained he couldn’t do it unless knows amount. You could tell he was stressed but I didn’t think the way he then spoke to customers was appropriate at all! The lady then sorted it all out. From an issue of their scanner not working it felt like we were the problem. Would not recommend going here if you have more than one voucher at all!"

"Definitely the best pizza in Belfast, maybe even in Northern Ireland. Wood fired, great ingredients, friendly and helpful staff and owner. Worth every penny. Also, a very neat online booking system good UI/UX and seamless checkout experience with great options. These guys are short staffed at the moment and the opening hours vary (5pm 10pm at the moment). That doesn’t affect the quality tho and hoping that doesn’t get them any negative reviews!!"

"Dissappointed. We are regulars been going for years, But every so often the quality of the food changes. We stopped going, then went back early in the year and there was a new chef. The food was gorgeous! But went to celebrate hubbys birthday recently and wished we hadnt. Sorry but the food wasnt acceptable at all. The dough wasnt cooked it was raw and soggy. My pizza came and the second part of the meal missing! So my hubby and daughter had ate their meal by the time mine had arrived. Night ruined! The mushroom starter was awful just a soggy mess on bread. They did refund me for my meal but my daughter and hubby ate theirs even though it was raw. Just not the usual standard wont be returning for a while."

"There are very few places in Preston I feel that I can recommend for a great meal as many places are inconsistent. Francos has always been 5 star and I often highly recommend it. The last couple of visits however have been slightly disappointing. I don't want this to be a complaint but an honest review and feedback for the restaurant. On calling ahead to book a table we've been told on 2 occasions now just to walk in and that they don't take reservations, under a certain number (9 I think) but this time there were 8 of us. We walked in at 6.30 and the place was mobbed, we just about got through the door. I didn't know if people were waiting to enter or leave. We were told it would be about 20-30 mins. This was quite a wait and my party weren't happy but were willing to wait hoping it would only be 20 mins. I won't breakdown the whole evening into time slots but my point is I don't think it works for staff nor customers not being able to book a table as nobody was happy, my party were complaining the whole way through- constantly waiting for orders to be taken, starters to come, mains to come. We had to ask 3 times for water which came towards end of the meal. Our mains were served at 8.30 which was honestly too late for me to want to be eating, we took the pizza orders home. The food on this occasion was just okay, not quite to the usual standard, the staff rushed off their feet, some cutlery was dirty. I feel the staff and level if customer service was good, they were doing their best but i dont think it helps having a system in place where they dont know how many people are due at any one time. All in all, it was a stressful, rushed experience."

"We received excellent service at this restaurant! When we went to select our food, the server Vidmanta was both lovely and very helpful. All of the dishes we tried were delicious. Make sure to request Vidmanta when you go, and don't forget to order the cheese garlic bread."

"pasta is so good oh my days big fat portion got stuffed to the brim but for an excellent price! was absolutely gobsmacked by the muscles and king prawns so juicy and delicious along with the pasta creating fireworks on my tongue. Couldn't even fit a pudding in my tummy! but... I got it anyway and it was absolutely marvellous wow! Will 100% be returning so amazing. Service was lovely, and the waiter was very nice and cheerful really made my evening! Amazing super experience! Thank you La Piazzetta !"

"We first visited the Chives on the Tuesday for a light lunch, I explained to staff the my wife had a stomach disorder to which the staff were very helpful and understanding and ended up having Two lovely meals which were good value for money, so we decided to book for the Thursday evening, Sadly Thursday evening was a totally different experience beyond belief, arrived got a nice table, this should of been a celebration but upsetting for us both is an understatement, again explained about my wifes stomach disorder, the starters were fine, the mains arrived and my wifes meal consisted of a salad minus Tomatos and Onions as requested, Sweet potato firs and a dressed Crab, my wife had just started her meal and on eating her crab pulled out a long elastic type hollow tube which she placed onto a napkin and discreetly took a waitress to one side away from customers and showed her what she had found, the waitress took it to the chef and the chef told her he had never seen anything like it before, my wife came back to the table and sat down but she could not eat her meal. The waitress asked would my wife like something else to which she replied some more sweet potato fries thank you. The manager then arrived at the resturant and imformed my wife and I that this was just part of the Crab, she was abrupt and rude but we decided to carry on with our evening. After the meal we asked for the bill to see we were charged full price £22) for a meal my wife did not eat, the manager came over a we both queried the bill, she was extremly rude and loud so all customers could hear that there was nothing wrong with the crab and that the chefs had informed her it was part of the crab. My wife informed her what the waitress had told her what the chef had said she went very quiet and stormed off. At no point did she apologise for her behaviour but they did eventually take the price of the crab meal off of our bill. My wife has been very unwell and this caused her great upset, not only by the way the manager spoke to her but also the volume of her voice and to do this in front of a packed and close table resturant."

"Disappointed in the choice of the Pre Theatre menu, decided to look at the a la carte menu, equally disappointed with the choices. Settled on pate, it was okay, rather bland but edible, not enough chutney to compliment it. Had pasta with meatballs for mains, again nice enough, but settled on this due to lack of choices. The side or garlic bread with cheese was more like soggy toasted cheese was really not that appetising, so this was not eaten. On complaining to the waitress, she spoke to the chef, who refused to take this off the bill really. We had returned to this restaurant after having previously enjoyed the experience, but this will be the last visit On a plus side the waitress was lovely very accommodating."

"Upon entering the restaurant on a Friday evening, it was surprisingly quiet with only a few patrons in the bar and restaurant. The menu was different from what was seen online, as we were informed of new management. The menu seemed basic, and we ordered two Gammon dishes, one Regular Burger, one Lamb Burger, onion rings, and cheese garlic bread. When inquiring about sauce on the Lamb Burger, we were told there was none, but upon cutting the burger, a lot of sauce oozed out. The waitress apologized and brought a replacement burger, which turned out to be the same burger with the sauce wiped off and placed in a new bun. Unable to eat sauce, we had to send it back. The rest of the food was left uneaten as the experience upset the whole table. We requested to speak to the manager, who initially claimed to be busy but appeared when we refused to pay for the burger. The manager failed to understand the issue with wiping off the sauce and its potential health risks. The total bill came to £69."

"When we arrived the car park was almost full at Belluno's, a good sign. The welcome was friendly and the atmosphere and room space was very good. The food is excellent with a wide choice of pasta, pizza, meats and fish, with some gluten free options too. We had no complaints with the presentation or taste, it was all excellent. Service was timely and the staff were very attentive. An excellent place for couples and families for a great night out. Its not the cheapest, but quality never is. Just to note, that we did not see a service charge, so tipping is voluntary which was nice. We gave a tip, but having the choice is good. Overall, a lovely evening out and well worth visiting for a celebration or treat at this establishment. I hope you're experience there is as good as ours was. Atb"

"We visited this restaurant last night on a whim, made a reservation online, and were seated promptly at 7:30. Jayne warmly welcomed us, took our drink orders, and handed us the menus. I decided on a Sloe gin and tonic, while my partner ordered a special drink recommended by Ben. Our dishes arrived quickly despite the busy atmosphere. I enjoyed a crispy beef salad and my partner had Thai fishcakes, followed by a Steak and Ale pie for him and Chicken Katzu curry for me. The food was hot, delicious, and beautifully presented. It was our first time dining at the restaurant since it changed from Pesto, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cuisine. The staff were friendly and efficient despite the busy evening. We will definitely be returning for another delightful dining experience. Thank you for a wonderful meal!"

"We have eaten at the St Agnes hotel a couple of times, twice for Sunday Lunch and one other time we had food from the main menu.The food from the main menu is underwhelming, definitely overpriced regular brewery catering food. The Sunday lunch is slightly superior and better value, but unfortunately, on each occasion the vegetables were very under cooked; crunchy is an understatement (definitely not al dente).However, having recently moved to St Agnes our main objective is to find a friendly local. Unfortunately, St Agnes hotel did not deliver for us, as we felt like the owners main objective isn't about fostering a relationship with returning customers. There is definitely a preoccupation of get you in and out asap. After we had eaten we felt compelled to drink up and leave (not because our table was booked as it was 8.30pm and there were plenty of empty tables).We definitely will not be using St Agnes Hotel as our local."

"Always our go-to place for Italian food. The food here is the best Italian we’ve ever tried, it is authentic and good quality. The staff are always happy to help and always check in to make sure everything is okay or if you need anything else. Customer service is clearly important here as it’s always brilliant. "when my 8-year-old daughter had asked to have her family birthday meal at fellini, they know that it is good! Eating is excellent and the portions are very generous children love the spaghetti bolognese and the half pizza / half-finish and children eat free too happy hour, which makes this restaurant excellent value for money. the staff is very friendly and attentive. we took a birthday cake and they took it out while they played happy birthday music that loved my daughter. the best but for my girls is when they go behind the theke to make their huge bowls of ice with sauce and marshmallows! a fantastic family-run restaurant that I would recommend to everyone."

"Went to The Woodman with my family in April, and it was a fab experience. The food was absolutely marvellous – I had the seafood, and it was divine! Every bite was delicious. The service was great and very friendly. Despite being incredibly busy, the staff managed everything smoothly and efficiently. One unique feature that stood out was their fantastic dog friendly area indoors. They provided a help yourself shelf with blankets, treats, and water bowls for our doggo. I’ve never seen anything like it before – totally fab! Overall, The Woodman was excellent and we have been back again since. We’ll definitely be back again!"

"Friendly welcome particularly for dogs in tow. Great range of Badger Beers and good selection of Lagers on tap incl 1664 and Bierre Moretti. The pizzas here are a must try especially the Truffle one which I couldn't fault. Chicken burgers fully stacked with chicken fillet reported to be a bit dry by my daughter but delicious anyway. Whitebait was excellent too. The pub itself is situated opposite Brentmoor Common excellent for dog walking. Decor clean and simple wood floors nice feel to it. The garden is spacious with plenty of shaded and sunny seating. Dogs on leads very welcome. Will definitely revisit for pizza and pint."

"I was disgusted with my experience in this restraunt i booked a table 4 a disabled person as ive just had spinal surgery a few weeks ago and it was my 1st time out of hospital and my last they have put me off as my mood was bad before and now im a wreck 1st no tables fo disabled persons as the lift was broken i had to TRY get out of my wheel chair which put me in AGONY for the night and CLIMB up on to a high couch why they did not say the lift was broken was beyond me when booking.then when I thought it could not get any worse I needed the toilet oh my goodness it was out of order I was told NOT so nicely by a waitress and when asked to sparked to the manager she acted suprised which was so fake my kids can lie better it was pathetic it was supposed to be conveniently fixed the day prior to my arrival and then if I thought this was not bad enough she had the cheek to offer to get 2 men to lift me up the stairs (in front of all of 2 tables that were full) but I wanted the ground to swallow me up I have NEVER been made feel so low about myself or my disability as this lady did in all my life I am utterly DISGUSTED at the treatment to be honest.she did not charge 4 the coffee which was included in my voucher I might add but not the Irish coffee my partner had never shall I return there VERY UNPROFESSIONAL as for the food OMG the starter yes delicious the main chicken my son of 15 yrs can cook better it was severely bland and as for shop bought chips REALLY come on thanx for making me not want to got out again and it was my 1st visit out after surgery a appreciate this"
