"Food was delicious, great place to sit outside in the sun. Sadly, the waiting/bar staff and managers were awful. I rung ahead on a Sunday to see if they had availability for 3 for late lunch, they wouldn’t tell me yes or no, we went to see if we could be seated in the bar/outside anyway. Again the waitress didn’t give us a clear answer, barely acknowledged us, even though over half the tables were unoccupied. We went to the bar to order our food, once ordered we realised they had charged us about £2 extra per burger.. on returning to the bar to query I was told it was a discretionary service charge, which is automatically put on. I think this is outrageous considering we sat ourselves, got our own drinks, ordered our own food, and had to get our own cutlery and condiments. I have worked in pubs for years and have NEVER done this or experienced this. One of the first things we saw when we walked in were staff sitting on a high table at the front of the pub cleaning cutlery, in full view of everyone. Obviously there was some controversy over them doing so between two managers as one manager in front of myself and many others at the bar made it clear she was fine with them sitting there and the other manager wasn’t (which he was right to think). Staff hovering around, not acknowledging customers standing at the bar, not cleaning tables, barely even communicating when asked a question by a customer. I did not see one staff member smile. This pub has so much potential, it’s such a shame. One female manager in particular was incredibly unfriendly and unapproachable. Not what you expect in a such a lovely area. Price per person: £20–30"

"We were a diverse group of 6 with a mix of ages. I had promised the youngest member pizza, so it was disappointing to find out that there were no pizzas available on Sunday during lunchtime. The online menu had listed burgers and other options, but they were not available on Sundays. Instead, there were only a selection of roasts with a few side dishes and starters. However, the food that was served was delicious, reasonably priced, and enjoyed by everyone in our group. While I understand that it may not be feasible to offer a full menu on Sundays, it would have been nice to have the burger option to cater to the younger diners. The staff were exceptional and we had a great experience overall."

"My friends and I went to have dinner at Chaophraya today, 6:15 was our reservation time, however upon arrival we were escorted to our table. We sat down and asked us if we wanted some water, which was nice and we said yes. It literally took over 15 minutes for the water to arrive at our table. We had to ask for our water. Now it’s nearly 30 minutes sat down with no one asking us if we want to order drinks or food, of which we then asked the waiter to order drinks. I mean upon ordering our food I expressed a number of times to the waiter I believe he is called Marco that I have a serious peanut allergy. I asked if I could have my food without any peanuts he said that’s fine…. Well after waiting so long for our starters it eventually comes to our table and the waiter places our plates in front so us. My first thought was how come he is not reassuring me that my plate has no peanuts. I had to ask the guy if mine has no peanuts he didn’t say anything but just take my plate and walk away of which in that moment I knew my starter has peanuts. If I had not asked if my plate had peanuts and I just ate the food I would have been in a serious state right now and my peanut allergy is extremely serious. I was annoyed at the fact that he didn’t apologise or explain to me the mistake that happened, I felt like I wasn’t acknowledged at all. I asked to speak to the manager of which he said he won’t bill me for my meal, I still felt upset with the way things went about. The whole service was a let down, from the drinks and food coming late to the whole peanuts issue, I was extremely disappointed by the service and I’m still shaken by the whole thing cause if I ate my starter I would have been in a serious situation between life and death."

"we decided to share some pages: tempoura garnel, sweet rolls and Satay chicken. the king prawns were slender and slightly coated in the tempura lightbatter. a soy-and-wasabi-dipping sauce was the perfect companion to the four garnels. the mini spring rolls came in a part of six. They were deep fried, but not fat. simply beautiful and crispy with a delicious carrot and cauliflower. they were served with sweet chilli dip. the satay huh, marinated and on spits, came with a spicy erdnuss sauce that was absolutely delicious."

"This was the worst restaurant that I experienced in London. The food quality was terrible and the service was more terrible. The restaurant staff brought me another drink that I did not order. I told him to bring the correct drink that I ordered and repeated the drink's name clearly but very surprisingly he kept insisting it is the same one. I am not sure whether it is due to his mere ignorance or trying to avoid his mistake in receiving guest's order wrongfully or an act of deliberately selling expensive drinks to customer but it would be definitely one from the three reasons. If the drink I ordered was out of stock, they should have told me frankly. The drink he gave me was a little more expensive than I ordered. It was definitely an abnormal situation but I generously forgave him for his mistake and had the drink because I did not want to ruin pleasant mood during trip. The main dish was served later, but regretfully the food was too greasy and salty to eat. I imagined the food that I enjoyed in other restaurant before and ordered the same food and expected similar level of good taste but could not enjoy it in this restaurant. The food tasted so bad. I wasted money here but did not want to waste my valuable time further and stopped eating the terrible food and left this awful restaurant as soon as possible for finding normal and better one. I do not recommend this terrible place."

"We went here today because of the good reviews and were very disappointed! Not a patch on HIVE around the corner for breakfast! Cheap ingredients, particularly the sausages. Everything in the full breakfast was dripping in grease. The toast was cheap bread. The spread on the muffin with the eggs benedict tasted awful, like cheap margarine, as was the hollandaise sauce. Lattes were very weak and tasteless. When my friend approached the manager he wasn’t open to constructive criticism, more concerned with arguing back like we were in the wrong for not enjoying it. We paid for the drinks and 1 out of 4 breakfasts and were told we wouldn’t be welcome back instead of being open to suggestions for improvement. Terrible attitude of other staff members. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! I very rarely write reviews but but feel strongly about this one!"

"The staff were fantastic, and the food was amazing. My son had a great idea for our gathering and suggested we try the Ozone restaurant. After our meal, we wanted to head to the main area to enjoy the rest of our drinks, as the friendly lady had mentioned. Unfortunately, when we got there, the woman at the entrance told us we couldn't access the bar and was quite unfriendly. She even had someone escort us to a completely empty area. All she said was that if we were staying overnight, we could have used the bar. It felt like my husband and I were completely overlooked, especially since we were celebrating our anniversary. However, we couldn't fault the staff or the food at Ozone restaurant. "

"Disappointing return to this excellent pub for a Sunday roast based on good previous experiences. Waited almost 75 minutes for a roast dinner on a Sunday and when it arrived the meal was extremely salty. Two choices of roast :beef or lamb and apparently it never changes. Tip for them, introduce pork or chicken as well and let the customers know when they arrive. there that there is going to be a long delay . When you’re hungry, it’s far too long. Also the lamb was shredded in some sort of some sort of piquant sauce swamping the flavour of the meat when we were expecting some nice slices of tender lamb. Brought my daughter and partner for the first time and although the staff dealt with the complaint courteously and discounted the bill we left feeling very underwhelmed."

"1:45pm 30 July. We are a regular here (10+ visits) as nearby the park where we walk the dog. Today wasn’t the best. We had food but no cutlery, had to ask and wait. Some orders were attempted to be served twice (no fuss but clearly some mismanagement going on in the background). My usual order of chicken and pancakes came unrecognisable. Poorly battered, egg overdone and no chili sauce. The lady server (1st floor) was kind enough to return it for me with no fuss (I did not ask for initially just asked wheres the sauce). However, her male server colleague was not as helpful as her and came back and was sort of annoyed with us for returning the plate. The dish was served back -much better. See before and after photos. Lady server again apologised and was very kind. For her service I would consider returning. But Bill’s need to check that the quality is falling through."

"the edĹŤ is a restaurant in tapas style, served by a common menu in all of Europe. it is ideal for those who dinate on the finer side with modern and elegant decor and still find affordable price tags (it is about ÂŁ20pp for a three-course menu.) and with the decor come stylish cocktails to accompany the eating. they have a separate vegan menu with nets like a roast cauliflower steak and lenses dahl, and one of my favorite desserts. churros! they are served three separate sticks, which are coated in zimt sugar with a chocolate-dipping sauce. Even now, as I write, I'm trying to fly back to belfast, just to nab myself a plate."

"Having booked before reading the reviews we were a little concerned. We had 3 adult Sunday roast and 1 child’s with a side of cauliflower cheese we had two cokes and 2 Guinness the cost was £95+ incl. service we didn’t notice they had added until after we had paid. The meals were ok nothing to write home about and def not worth the money. The beef that my son and hubby ordered was very chewy and having seen the previous review we should have avoided. You get two small slices of meat very stingy considering the cost and they forgot the crackling for the pork meal that we had to ask for which was rectified. Staff seemed busy a bit inexperience but pleasant. The food was edible apart from the beef but I find it so hard to comprehend why restaurants find it so difficult to add flavour to their meals. The crackling was the most tasty bit but we only got that because we asked for it. The most shocking though was that a pint of Guinness was £6.55 per pint the only time we pay that is in a hotel or London. Two cokes came to £7.10 at £3.55 each which was on the flat side but I like flat coke so didn’t mind. Overall it was average, thus the cost in our view was unjustified. Needless to say we will not be returning any time soon. Service: 4 Location: 3"

"Disappointing. I found this place on Google and I decided to pay it a visit with a friend given the high number of vegan options. We got there around 9.30 and the restaurant is closing 10. We were told to wait and then, once seated, we were told that most of the items were sold out which was a bit disappointing. We ordered whatever was available and the food was actually ok. Having said that, the customer service was a bit rude and uninterested which is not great given the prices. The lady who served us was very grumpy from the beginning till the end, and they even forgot one of the two drinks we ordered. Overall, negative experience. Decent food but very poor customer service. They seemed to be annoyed that we came half an hour before closing but in that case they could've just told us and we would've found another Japanese restaurant, there's plenty of options nearby. If they decide to take in new customers at that time they should make sure the service is adequate otherwise they should just shut the restaurant and tell people that they are not taking in any more people. I doubt I will be coming back to Koya."

"We had a mixed visit this time. Myself and my daughter come here when we can. We had two slight negative situations happen. I get them out the way first. I have a fish allergy, so as always the manager came to take my order however another staff member had taken my daughters order. We both ordered the same Chicken gyoza and ginger +chicken udon noodles. My daughter 's food came first and my came a bit later. (This is normal practice especially as the chef has to clean everything to cook my food! As my daughter started to eat she noticed her Udon meal had a shrimp in it. (There are 2 Udon noodle meals on the menu, one with chicken and shrimp the other with just chicken The manager came over and took the meal away and got the chef to cook another Udon meal. Not the best, however the situation was handled well by the manager. The second negative was more of a technical one. When you get seated you get told your table number and shown a QR code which takes you to an app to pay.So to you don 't have to wait to catch a staff member. At the end, I went to pay and entered my table No but someone 's else 's food order came up. I tried a couple of times but in the end we had to get a staff member so we could pay. No idea what happened there! Now the positives. Waga:s is our favourite Dad+daughter day out. We love the food and love the O2 venu. The food (when it 's right is the best and comes freshly cooked. The Gyoza 's are our go to 'starter ' with the Udon noodle Ginger chicken as a main. It didn 't disappoint this time. So fresh and piping hot. The female manager (sorry, didn 't catch your name was a delight and extremely polite. Even when I started waffling on about my fish allergy the female manager was polite and attentive. The other members of staff who served us were also polite. All in all a good lunch even with the slight hiccups. The four stars is because of the order mix up!"

"this location is only a few steps away from the globe theatre. I was glad to see some items from which vegan were. for a starter I had the vegan arancini. it was slightly tasted like drowned with mint and a little bit of rice. the diving sauce was good, but they gave only a small piece under each piece, so I liked more of it. I had the vegan sweets. they have two on the menu, but one had an aubergine, so I chose the other. best vegan pizza I ever had. the crust was thin, light and chewing, not crisp. the aromen worked well. I had no dessert, but they had three vegan options. one was chocolate and crumb based, another was sorbet, and the third was advertised as a small part of carrot cake."

"This is a family run business, and some families shouldn't work together. We booked for a large party weeks in advance, and asked if we needed a set menu pre order or deposit and the person we chatted with was very relaxed and happy that we just needed to come. Wind forward to less than a week before the booking and a different, very forceful, anxious and demanding family member called to change just about everything on our booking, meaning I would have to contact 27 people and get back to them with information, during our week on holiday. She was really rude to the point of offensive, clearly used to getting her own way and overly assertive. It was hard to get a word in at all. Given her attitude, and how unpleasant she was and would likely be on the evening of our party, we scrabbled around and booked elsewhere nearby. I would not recommend Wudon for a group booking at all. Too stressful and unpredictable."

"Delicious, heavily accommodating, they are more than happy to change any part of the dishes for you. The service was exceptionally friendly! The food was top tier, very very tasty. And to top it all off the prices are fair, they definitely have an advantage on that as it’s actually cheap for London, without sacrificing portion sizes which were also generous. We will be returning here."

"It was a family dinner and the whole thing was delightful, the welcome was warm, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. This place has a reputation for having excellent food and it really did not disappoint, I was far too interested in eating my food than taking pictures of it but my halloumi fries and Thai green dipping sauce was a plate of pleasure, my main of chilli roasted squash was super yummy and my dessert of pear and pecan tart finished the meal off perfectly! The chips that came with my parental’s and partner’s dinner were a thing of delight, chunky and chip shop style and so good, I ate quite a few of them too! I cannot recommend here highly enough, if you ever get the opportunity, come here! Vegetarian options: Good options Dietary restrictions: Catered for all Parking: Lots of parking Kid-friendliness: Kids everywhere and this was lovely to see! Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible"

"We went to Civerinos last week to tuck into a slice of Italy and to have a chat with Michele the owner on why this Italian has been getting rave reviews all over the internet and is hit with the locals. Civerino’s is located just off the Royal Mile near the Tron Kirk in Hunter Square and serves a fanatastic selection of family recipes handed down through Michele’s family, Italian street food and of course Pizza by the slice or whole. In contrast to the overpriced restaurants offering, as a general rule, fairly low quality food, Civerinos is the real deal and very competitively priced. The beautiful glass door way opens into a minimalist style canteen with long tables and an open kitchen where the smell of food drifts tantalizingly from. The staff are super welcoming giving a real easy going family feel to the place. The owner Michele is often sat at the bar and came to talk to us about his plans for the restaurant and the upcoming Festival season. It is easy to see why the food at Civerino’s is so good when you meet Michele. His enthusiasm and passion for Italian food and the business is inspiring and infectious! He is so excited by the fresh produce, especially after a recent trip with the kitchen team to source new products and try out new ideas resulting in some fabulous new gorgonzola croquettes, Italian salamis and porcini mushroom sauce to mention a few of the tasty new treats. He certainly loves his food and takes pride in his family’s heritage. Civerino’s is an expression of this passion great food from the heart; timeless, classic recipes using exceptional fresh ingredients that would last forever. A long term Edinburgh resident and foodie Michele loves eating at many of the local establishments and is very complementary about many of his neighbours including fellow street food success Ting Thai Caravan where he loves to go for his dinner and Ninja buns, who are now providing the food at Paradise Palms. With the restaurant’s first festival season approaching fast they are keen to ensure they still manage to save some space for their regular followers and will be saving a table at the back just for those who have booked before, they will also be open late so you can head over after your shift too. Seating outside should help them to catch the eye of the passing traffic as will their new Gelato bike set to appear very soon! On to the food – having tried the fabulous pizzas on a different occasion we decided to embark on trying out the rest of the menu. Mix and match home made pasta varieties and sauces featuring pig cheek carbonara and slow cooked beef ragu are sure to be a crowd pleaser and there are some really exciting antipasti dishes if you can draw your gaze away from the pizza menu that is. We decided on the parsley and chilli calamari, beef meatballs in mushroom sugo, Steak tagliata with wild rocket salad and Zuccini fritti. The food is served on sharing style boards with individual paper plates, so you can get stuck in and help your self in unpretentious communal dining style. We were very impressed with all our dishes, light crispy battered zucchini was really tasty, well cooked steak with roast tomatoes and rocket was the stuff of dreams believe me, and of course crispy calamari with aioli was just about perfect, but the rich tasty porcini sauce with the meatballs was a stand out winner at our table. We were dipping everything in it! The wine and beers are all really well priced and they have a frozen cocktail too! Featuring popular Italian favorites including Negroni and Aperol Spritz. Desserts are also pretty awesome we were recommended to try the Tiramisu but didn’t have space after our feast so it will have to be saved for our next visit. I am so pleased to have discovered this exciting gem of a restaurant right in the centre of all the festival action and cant wait to go back for more. Especially for their late night pizza and great music on until the early hours throughout the summer of Edinburgh’s festivals, and the terrace set in Hunter Square where you can sit and watch the crazy world of the Royal Mile go by!"

"Checked online prior to booking as my friend can 't eat red meat and it had chicken on the menu so it was fine to book here. On arriving and checking the menu it had no chicken on at all which I found very silly and annoying for my friend. ordered 2 light ale 's of the same and then we were told there were only 3 in stock which was very silly to have so little. The crispy squid was chewy and too crispy felt like a reheat. The bread was ok but felt soggy. The beef was ok but not as I expected. It was quiet dry but had a pot of sauce to use if you wanted more. Tiny amount of coleslaw on the side and we shared some chips which said Tripple Cooked chips but looked more like McDonald 's chips. We were the only ones dining at the time so our food should of theory been great. Wouldn 't like to eat here when it 's really busy."
