The fish cakes we ended up with were dry and lacked flavor, overshadowed by excessive seasoning. When it came time for dessert, two of us selected dishes, only to be told that they were also unavailable. We felt bad for the staff, but were frustrated by the lack of options and the inconvenience it caused. This experience was not ideal, especially since we had brought our friends here to celebrate a special occasion. Unfortunately, we may not be returning to this restaurant in the future."

"Hello, typically the food is outstanding, but this time I have to admit, the lamb was extremely tough and there were no scallops or mustard, which was disappointing. "First visit with friends for dinner 11 Nov 16: cozy open fire and comfy leather seats in the bar area. Decor a bit bland and basic throughout the bar and restaurant but the service was genuinely friendly and food was a fab surprise. The bar style menu belies the great food within. We had rib eye steaks and venison Wellington style and it got served to a 'wow ' factor. The food presentation and food was on par with more upmarket restaurants, and price competitive. Will go again and recommend. Keep it up. N Reindl"

"Our Host was a lovely lady and every issue I had she sorted straight away but unfortunately I was just disappointed overall. I visited the Harrow in April when we could only Dine out doors and it was amazing food so was really looking forward to coming back. I had booked a Xmas meal with friends and had chose the Xmas menu. My starters were wrong but I was happy to get what was given with no fuss. I ordered a pint ok coke and was brought a drink with no coke syrup in so that had to be sent back. The mains were ok which was a turkey dinner. My pudding came out (chocolate brownie) It was brought out with my friends puddings who also ordered a brownie. To be told that my pudding had exploded in the microwave hence why it was all over the plate. By this point I couldn't be bothered to argue it and ate whatever was left of the pudding. I wish I had said something at the time about the whole meal but to be honest I didn't want to ruin my Xmas meal with my friends."

"we visited this pub on Thursday evening, the 10th august, for a meal with family and friends who were all in wellesbourne for the high time of a friend. our booking was for 7.15 clock after a very long wait our starters finally arrived at 8.35 and our main course at 8.55 clock. our group consisted of 5 adult and 3 young children, so when the food arrived, it was time that the children were in bed, and the rest of the group wanted to come back to our hotel to the other high-time guests. the debt was not the personal that worked in the pub. .The two young waitresses ran back and forth and took the customer's food and were both very polite and very apologetic about the delay. the management should have found an incentive to get more employees in this night to serve all customers. we had booked in advance, we were not only on the road, like our friends who had a 6.30 booking and had suffered a similar delay. we got discounted from our bill when we complained, and eating was very nice, but that was inacceptable, and the pressure on the waiters would have both earned them a wage rise. I'm sorry, but until the personal is sorted out, I won't recommend the kings head to everyone."

"I made a reservation for Sunday lunch for 3 people. When we arrived, there seemed to be some surprise that we had a reservation, but we were seated promptly. It took a while for us to receive menus, and even longer for our orders to be taken (we weren't even asked for a drink order before our food order). Throughout the meal, no one checked in on us or asked if we wanted more drinks. The bill was brought without us requesting it, and we weren't asked if we wanted dessert. The food was good, we all enjoyed our pasta dishes, but the service was lacking."

There was several things missing that they’d run out of but that’s understandable in the light of everywhere else is struggling with deliveries. "Lovely, spacious pub with outdoor seating and easy to find as it’s beside the A26. The staff were friendly and helpful. A path leading from the spacious car park also allows for a peaceful, rural stroll after you’ve eaten, on the edge of the Ashdown Forest. Some well-kept Harvey’s ale was available, though it would have been nice to have had a wider choice of cask ales. My meal seemed to have been left under a heat lamp for a little too long, leaving it a bit dry on the outside, but this wasn’t the case with the other meals and the food was otherwise tasty and good value. Well worth a visit."
