We all had something different off the menu and found it very tasty but unfortunately it was not very hot just Luke warm which spoilt it a little. Obviously things like veg and potatoes and joints of meat are Pre cooked so they need to find a way of keeping things nice and hot ready for serving. Service was a bit slow but it was busy and I know the hospitality industry is struggling for staff at the moment so will give them the benefit of the doubt there."

As always, fantastic food. I had the lamb duo for my main course and caramel torte for pudding, both excellent. I visit here for a meal on a regular basis and I’m never disappointed. Good food. Cheerful service.

Nothing left for pudding g two desserts only!pretty bad considering they know with the bookings how many are due and aLao it's jor hard to whip up a meringue and make an Eton mess or go to tesco and buy them there surely!

Had a very nice evening. There was a mistake on our order, but it was quickly and efficiently dealt with. The food was OK... all the dishes we ordered (Salmon, chicken and lamb) could have done with more accompanying vegetables.

I booked a table for 3 to take my Mam out for a meal after lockdown restrictions were eased. The meal was lovely and we all enjoyed it,very tasty and very well presented,the plate was big and even I couldn’t manage a pudding,the staff were very nice and chatty too Very nice and will be booking a table again,thank you for a really lovely evening.

I haven't been to the Travelers Rest for a Number of years. The waiting service was understaffed, in that our server seemed stretched to but in fairness worked hard to make sure all her guests we looked after and kept happy. The only real complaint was that the food came out cold. However, in fairness it was replaced and when second it was served the food was Hot and very very tasty. Couldn't fault the quality of the food when hot it was stunning. will be going back.
