"I was a bit disappointed with the attitude of the bar staff upon entering. The main meal was quite tasty, but the knife and fork needed to be replaced. My drink was weak, although it had a pleasant flavor. The dessert was disappointing, as it contained far too much cream. Additionally, we were not asked if we would like milk with our coffee. On a positive note, the Hesketh Arms has comfortable seating and a lovely interior, but I wouldn't choose to return."

Had lunch here for the first time in years. Pre booked the table . Great food , lovely waitress not rushed at all. It was a bit quiet in the restaurant I didn’t notice any background music. . Would definitely return.

With friends visiting for Mad Dog weekend, and having a voucher from Christmas to use, we opted for the Hesketh Arms in Churchtown for our Saturday evening meal. We were far from disappointed, as everything from the online booking system to the actual food was excellent. The service was first class and the pub is a characterful little gem.

The service was excellent and the ambiance very good but the food was very disappointing it was chicken and mushroom pie but the filling left a lot to be desired ie tasteless and quite sparse and the pastry topping was awful. I did not complain as I did not want to make a fuss in front of my partner but this is the second time now that I have been really disappointed with my meal. My meal was not good value for money.
