"A group of 5 of us had early dinner prior to attending the boxing at the Millennium Stadium. The staff are always very friendly and efficient and we were seated immediately as we had booked in advance. The only concern was that my fillet steak was not as requested, it was medium to well done instead of medium rare. This was rectified but the others had finished eating their main course by the time mine arrived. My steak was perfectly cooked and everything else was freshly served too. The manager came to say that there would be no charge for the steak and also we were given a free bottle of the excellent Rioja Crianza. I was very impressed by the no quibble promptness which left a very good impression on us all. Thank you."

"We called ahead yesterday after enjoying a drink, and ended our meal with the delicious bread and butter pudding with custard. My friends had the cheesecake with a unique twist, the scallops, and the lamb kebab. We also discovered the Moroccan mint tea with rose, which is a must-try. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be returning for our next visit to London."

"Absolutely love visiting this place. My fave place in Brum! The team are always so welcoming friendly esp Hope, Laura, Breanna, Shannon, Paige, Sophie Niamh! The cats are all gorgeous, well cared for happy to play or just chill alongside you. The cafe itself is bright, well decorated full of areas for the cats to scratch, play or get up high if they want a bit of quiet time. Toys are provided to keep them entertained. Food drink is always great. The staff have a really tough job (it's not playing with cats like people imagine but do what they can to keep you happy. Unfortunately some customers can spoil your experience by chasing the cats, crowding the toilet area, leaning over your table to get to cats etc but that's my only negative! Keep doing what your doing I look forward to visiting again soon!"

"what a disappointment, never again. well booked in advance for a Saturday evening meal for three and was very excited about it. was in zaza both in bushey and in pinner and had nothing but good experiences, so thought it would be nice. to have a change of landscape in ruislip. how wrong I was. it was shown our table that was right next to the door and in the middle of the entrance, right where someone went to the restaurant that waited for her table, would float and not a suitable room to enjoy a quiet family dinner. I understand that the last years were challenging for restaurants, but even if they want to add some extra seats in less than ideal places, they should at least warn their patrons before they book them. When I asked if we could be moved, I was asked what was wrong with the table and when I pointed out that the unpleasant edification was welcomed by apathie. I asked if we could be changed to one of the many other empty tables in the venue and said that they were all booked, but that we could wait to see if someone was gone I had booked our table week to be clearly offered the worst place in the house and then essentially treated like an inconvenient walkable to ask left an extremely acid taste. I found the personal I spoke to be cold and quite rude. feeling frustrated and unintentional, we decided to take our business elsewhere and received a warm greeting and a beautiful meal on the road on the mamma pink."

"From the start it was dull.. we were there on a high tea appointment and a seating for 2 pm Saturday.. So we got given the wrong menu on the side benches as we waited for our table. 15 minutes later I mentioned that we were here for tea and cakes. Then we were seated.. by the toilets.. And the men's were disgustingly kept. Uve seen cleaner public urinals. Cheese on toast came and one could have put a window through with them. Coffee and tea.. Nice! 3 different staff dropping episodes certainly lightened things up for us! So next batch of cheese toasties! Yummo! We received a evening meal voucher for 2 as a consequence to our polite complaint. Keep trying harder! JH"

"It 's a good solid restaurant. There 's a nice choice of franglais dishes. However there 's no kids choices so not the place if you have young children. That may or may not be a plus. The food is priced around average to high for this type of restaurant chain. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food we ordered turned up promptly and was hot. Drink choices are limited to bottled beers, wines and a smattering of cocktails. With the usual selection of soft and hot drinks. Be warned they are on the the high side of average. When we went it was fairly quiet. So there wasn 't much of an atmosphere. But I would imagine that it gets quite buzz when busier. There is a single disabled toilet on the ground floor otherwise the loos are up 4 flights of stairs. So don 't leave it 'til the last minute. There parking in the multi-storey around 500metres away. The entrance is fairly accessible although the doors are manual and relatively heavy. Although there 's plenty of space between tables. In all a good restaurant tasty, hot food and good service. We would return."

"We had a very nice evening at Cafe Rouge Ruislip. The food was delicious and they had everything that was on the menu. The staff were very attentive without becoming a nuisance and nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere was lovely, friendly but not too loud. We were able to chat and catch up with our friends without having to shout. We did have a voucher which made the meal good value. Would definitely recommend."

"Had the worst experience I’ve ever had to endure in a restaurant. Had booked for a Christmas dinner with friends and the service and food was so appalling I’m not being dramatic when I say it ruined the event. The waitress we had didn’t care at all about us and made it obvious she was frustrated with our presence despite us being friendly and communicative. The chef has obviously given up and produced some of the saddest looking plates I’ve seen. No effort had gone into producing the food; items missing, no garnishes, plain. We did not complain however. Then at the end we were accused of being short on the bill, yet we could see they had not accounted for someone who had already paid and left earlier. The manager could not seem to understand English and simply demanded we pay. The waitress understood but made no effort to rectify and simply stood aside watching. Worst experience ever!!!"

"County Kitchen Chelmsford. Although the outside might not look too smart inside this is a well presented, contemporary restaurant. The evening we went had a function in another part of the hotel which seemed to keep the waiters very busy but they still managed to pay us lots of attention. Was given the wrong starter, although this was rectified, and food was a little slow (probably the food for the function). Food was very nice though mussels, lamb cutletts choc tort particularly good."

"It was certainly an experience. Food was lukewarm, it took an hour from arrival before any food turned up, additional items ordered from the menu did not arrive, service was non existent throughout and despite asking for the dessert menu, 25 minutes later we were still waiting. Our waitress was apologetic but the manager avoided conflict and didn't come over to apologise. Previously our visits there have been excellent but for now we won't be returning for a while and I would recommend avoiding at all costs, especially on a Saturday night!"

"Booked here for New Year’s Eve as it’s the only place that didn’t do a rip off set menu. Pleasantly surprised. Food was very good in a very authentic French bistro atmosphere. It’s the sort of chain I’d probably normally not bother with but actually the ambiance was lovely, the service fantastic and no pressure to order any more or any less than what you actually want! They laid on Christmas crackers and a sweet buffet for the kids which was a really nice touch. Group of 7 of us with two children, parents and grandparents for dinner, no pressure to leave our table and just generally relaxed and perfect for every age group. Really changed my perceptions of the cafe rouge chain and I’m ashamed at my previous snobbery. Give it a go for any occasion you won’t regret it."
"We were searching for a nearby place to grab a fast and convenient Valentine's Day meal and were pleasantly surprised to discover that a musician had been brought in for the evening, enhancing the atmosphere and making us want to savor our dining experience. However, the staff appeared to be a little too eager to speed up the delivery of our courses, and it would have been preferable if they had taken a more relaxed approach. The fixed menu was a fantastic deal and the food was delightful. We will definitely be returning in the future."

"a regular walk to the ice salon, although they paninis and coffees and cocktails have only tried their gelato. the place seems to be cramped at the first sight, but they have made seating available (have never tried anything in the place though), the staff is very warm and friendly and always ready to offer them a taste of their beautiful ice creams. the gelato brings them back to the gasses italiens, where the ice is made, soft creamy and beautiful texture. most of their aromes however have tried, my favorites are the salts caramel, lemon, tiramisu and I think almost every taste. the long queues in the summer are self-explanatory for the taste and the products served, a...more"

"My wife and I found the food disappointing and it seemed to be overpriced for the quality received. We had been looking for an alternative venue for Sunday lunch but have decided not to include Cafe Rouge in the list of our regular venues. On the other hand, the staff were pleasant and attentive but this did not make up for the standard of food."

"the lime bar in some of the lowry cans serves something nice to eat, but is certainly more of a bar, as the name suggests, the quality of eating is certainly not secondary, but it is no relaxed culinary experience given its nature. As long as they are aware of this, they will enjoy their visit. there is also a dichotomy. the menu. this place is really not quite sure what he tries to be. there italian, asian, mexican quintessential English and quite any other genre they like to call. I just choose the booze of pork, malayan huhn, lamb tagine, piri piri huh. eating is exalted. really well cooked and delicious. I had beautified prawns and chorizo followed by the pan fried sea bass. Both courses were served very fast and with friendly service. with a glass wein the total bill was just over £30. the quality of the food was worth this amount. if you see a show in the lowry or go to the cinema or just shop here, this location is a great place to eat."

"Being from Australia with no knowledge of where to dine, a former colleague from Durham recommended St Vincent. We checked out the menu on line and decided on a 2 course meal special between 5:30 and 6:30 for GBP24. Our very charming waitress from Lithuania thought we were from down under and chatted knowledgebly about life in Newcastle. She was a delight. Our entree of sea bass carpaccio arrived. WOW. It was a meal in itself and beyond good. If I could I would have licked the plate. Then our baked hake on a medley of roasted capsicums arrived. Hake a boring fish, yet brought to life by the accompanying capsicums was enjoyed by each mouthful. The hake crispy on the outside and tender on the inside was clean yet filling. Do yourself a favour and dine at St Vincent. Oh and the wine pretty good too"

"We do visit other Cafe Rouge establishments where the service has been good but I don't think we've ever had satisfactory service in Bury St Edmunds, which is our local restaurant. Here it always seems to take an inordinate length of time to get our meal, regardless of how busy it is. On this occasion, there was only a handful of customers dining but we had to wait over minutes for our meal. The waitress had to be asked for things that should have been supplied as a matter of course, e.g. Steak knives. We also had to ask more than once for other items, e.g.drinks. Poor Show!!"
