"After exploring all the cafes in the village of Bingham, my partner and I were amazed by the menu displayed on the cafe window here. With Greek inspired breakfasts and lunches, we knew we had found something special. The chef and waitress went above and beyond to accommodate my vegan requirements, which I was extremely impressed by. The portion sizes for the omelette and gyroks were generous and offered great value for money. We also enjoyed delicious smoothies and 200degree coffee with no complaints. We believe we have discovered our new favorite local cafe. Thank you to the staff at the cafe for a wonderful dining experience! - Rob Liss"

"Here for a family celebration with 3 vegans in the party, attracted by a good range of vegan options on the menu. Another big plus upon arrival is that the restaurant is nuts-free (if you have a son with a severe nut/peanut allergy, you can imagine the peace of mind this brings) However, I was underwhelmed by the no-beef burger, it Didn't have much to show for £14.50, not even a salad on the side, just a thin patty trimminge in a bungalow and a basket of chips. The salads were better at a tenner but nothing to shout about. It would give the place three stars for food and value, but friendly service and a nuts-free kitchen gets it up to four!"

"The customer service at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. We waited 25 minutes before I finally asked when our order would be ready, and the response we received was rude. It was mentioned that they were dealing with a large order, but it would have been nice to be informed of this before we placed our order. I was then insulted and received support from others who were also waiting for their food. I decided to leave, but my partner later informed me that she experienced bullying and victimization while waiting. As for the food, it was poorly prepared, tasteless, and overall disappointing."

"Had a wonderful evening at The Botanist Restaurant! The ambience was fantastic, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere perfect for a nice evening out. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which significantly contributed to our enjoyable experience. Marlena, our waitress, was very patient with us and ensured we had everything we needed. Joanna, the manager, was attentive and made sure our visit was pleasant. The food was delicious, exceeding our expectations. If you’re looking for a place with a great atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly service, The Botanist Restaurant is definitely worth checking out."

"*The chef came out and shouted at my family whilst we were trying to enjoy my birthday meal* We visited Saturday 9th April at 5pm to celebrate my birthday. Myself, husband, 2 babies, my mum, dad and brother. We had ordered our food and enjoyed...our starter dishes. Food we had tried was really tasty. Then we had also ordered 2 mixed lamb/chicken souvlakis. Husbands was fine, my brothers lamb however was very chewy, rubbery and difficult to cut into. We told the waitress who was reluctant to take it back to the kitchen. She said to order a new dish and she would take it off the bill. My brother said he just wanted the lamb replacing. Next thing, THE CHEF has come out and proceeded to SHOUT at my brother. Telling him it is from the same animal, he cannot cook it differently, etc and then stormed off!! We were in absolute shock!! We didn’t want to continue our meal, being spoken to like that. Another man came to us saying he is sorry, the Chef is the owner what can he do to help. We asked for the bill for the starters we had eaten and that we would not be staying to eat another thing. The man who I assume is the actual owner) did just charge us for what we had eaten but we left a table full of food because of the way the Chef came out and shouted at us. We were not going to continue eating and paying to be spoken to like that! Never experienced anything like it! The food we had tried (apart from lamb souvlaki) was nice. But this ruined my birthday and we will not be going back again."

"Four of us went for a midweek lunch. The table and had been booked and was ready for us. The dining area is warm and spacious, everything clean and appealing. The owners and Staff are extremely attentive and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. We had all pre ordered the Greek Meze. You can give them your budget, and they provide food accordingly . 4 courses in all for £30pp, and I can assure any reader here, that I didn’t eat anything else that day. All the courses were traditional and authenticity presented. Every dish was individually cooked , the meats were to die for. Sauces and the usual side dips accompanied each course. We were not left wanting. My only comment would be, that I wish we could have had longer break between courses as per the normal Greek way of dining . So if you don’t want all the courses top to tail, just let them know at the outset. Not a complaint, more our fault for not saying in the first place. I certainly think we had value for money, the food and the bar. The place is also dog friendly. I f you enjoy food, Greek or otherwise I would thoroughly recommend this establishment. We will all be returning for another excellent dining experience."

"We found this little gem on Saturday on the way back home from a walk we were tired and very hungry. As it was after 2pm we were unsure if food was still available. We were assured that it was and we were welcomed by a wonderful professional guy behind the bar whose customer service was to be admired. Along with our small rescue collie he made us feel welcome. Honestly this country is one of the worst in Europe for great customer service and its always so great when you get it!! The food and the service were both excellent apart from one tiny thing which I feel is worth a mention. One of the young staff was stood around by the bar with a bored expression which was a little off-putting and when she served our tasty dessert she did not supply us with any serviettes. Really not a huge deal but attention to detail makes the experience and we shouldn't have to ask for the basics. But we will one hundred percent be back and will recommend to everyone. In my job in hospitality in the area I am ofter asked for good places to eat. I will send them your way, job well done guy's"

"The Ouzo and Olive welcomes you into a warm atmosphere with a great Greek aesthetic. The service is good and friendly. The food doesn't take long and is excellent, everything tastes fresh, for example Kalamari which is easy to get wrong is perfectly done. Even the bread is fresh and given lots of hearty olive oil. Prices are good and fair, we paid £47 for 5 dishes, 2 drinks (the pims comes with style) and 2 desserts. The desserts were really special. A true gem in our little town of Caernarfon, would recommend. But please make sure you book a table beforehand especially on Saturdays and Fridays."

"Below average Sunday roast dinner. Would not go if for a roast dinner for a special occasion. Lots of empty seats in the restaurant area which should have been a sign....4 of us had roast dinner on a Sunday, certainly not worth the £18 a meal drinks to pay on top. Expect a really nice dinner for that price. The price either needs dropping quite a bit, or the standards raising a lot for the price point/standard to be correct. Once we moved the big Yorkshire pudding out the way, there really wasn 't a lot on the plate. I only had 2 very small roast potatoes. Would have appreciated a few more potatoes at the size they were and/or some mash potato to fill out the empty space, and also some carrots, as there weren 't many vegetables on the plate either. ' 'Seasonal veg ' '; carrots are in season in November and aren 't expensive. There was no real flavour/seasoning, very bland. A couple of the group had lamb. Asked about mint sauce, the pub didn 't have any...Expect any pub that serves lamb on a Sunday to have mint sauce. No cutlery given with the dinners/already on the table, even though we booked in advance, had to ask for cutlery after our dinners were served. No one interested in coming over to take for the bill. As other reviews have said, we had to go up to the bar to pay. When we did get up to the bar to pay, staff tried to charge for the wrong table; for the group of 4 next to us who had wine etc/a much bigger bill. Shows poor organisation on which table is which. Would have been of detriment to the pub had it have been the other way round, and the larger table had left first, after paying for a smaller bill, as we would not have paid for their bigger/incorrect bill! No toilet roll in the one ladies toilet, had to wait for the other cubicle to become free. Even then there was only a tiny bit in that cubicle a lot of empty rolls. A sign that the toilets had not been serviced all day Sunday until at least 6pm when I went in there. Wasn 't busy so staff could have gone in to top up loo roll. Visited Sun 19th Nov 2023 4pm, in case the pub is interested in addressing any of these issues with the kitchen. Suggest bigger portions/more flavour. More potatoes/veg/seasoning don 't cost that much for any pub, yet really make a difference to the customer 's experience. it 's in the pub 's interest to visit the table to take bill payment and get the tables/orders the right way around... Portion size appropriate for a 90 yr old, not 4 young/middle aged adults. Our plates were cleared not because we thoroughly enjoyed the meal, it was because we were all still hungry. "Stopped off at this lovely little village pub on the drive down to Camberley. The White Hart was the perfect country pub for lunch. We all chose different items off the menu from the Philly steak sandwich, a beef burger and a chicken gyros with a side Greek salad, each dish was tasty and filling. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5"
"the greeting we received was easy to puzzling as we were not sure whether the merciful friendly, rude or bipolar was. a regular village beacon that offers the usual bar menu with very little imagination, so punters get what they deserve, I suppose. there was...”Minty lancashire Hotpot” on the special board, that is one of my favorite dishes all the time, and considering that very few restaurants in lancaster had it actually on the menu, it was for me. what an unauthorized catastrophe. hotpot should be an unpretentious lamb stew, full of carrots and swirls with a lid of cut kartoffels often cooked for an hour or so. Of course, this process must be carried out in a restaurant situation in advance so that it can be served as quickly as possible to the customer. what happened? a catastrophe that is it. As they could even serve the scandal that has arrived before me without showing any embarrassment, it shows that they do not care what the coke looked at them. to the left over boiled lamb, fed into a smoker and covered with sourté potatoes is not a hotpot. it was one of the worst dishes of the “food” I would ever meet and not even consider feeding it to my dog; and if I did, she would not eat it, and she eats everything. they accused themselves of this monstrosity of a teller, and no word was said when they removed it from the table after I had left it after eating two pieces of mouth. they probably knew what I would have said if they even wanted to ask themselves. I am not shy, pubs and restaurants to tell what is good or bad about eating that they serve me, but for once I was stupidly hit that something that should be too right in that was actually served one of their customers. When we waited for the food to arrive, I heard one of the customers who had arrived after telling us that the last part of the hotpot had been sold and it was from the menu. I was slightly fucked that I was this guy, but I wish I was the guy who just missed."

"Always choose to come here for a treat. Upon all my visits I've never experienced a poor service. A friendly, family run business who make the time and effort to get to know you and make you feel special. "I have been to Seafish a lot of times however the last 5/6 times the food has certainly gone down hill, tonight was no exception. They were understaffed and the staff they did have on were very young. Firstly, I waited 35 minutes to be served and for the food to be cooked. Secondly, once home I began to eat my fish and chips. The chips were still raw and crunchy, the fish raw in places, a revolting skin still left on the fish and the fish was smelly like it was either going off or had gone off. I'm 5 months pregnant so on top of this all it is very dangerous and made me feel incredibly sick. I called Seafish. The young lad on the end of the phone couldn't have given less of a damn. There wasn't even a manager on site for me to talk to. Apparently a manager would call me back, I'm still waiting, good job I'm not holding my breath. It's disappointing this place has gone down hill but after several bad meals, this one being the worst by far, sadly I won't ever be returning apart from my refund which I will be receiving."

"In the past few years, dining at this restaurant has been a hit-or-miss experience. More often than not, when you come in wanting a beer, they may be out of one or more options. My first visit out of the last three was quite good, with Tribute on tap and delicious meals. This led us to return for a second visit. However, on the second visit, Tribute was not available, so we chose not to stay. The third visit was better, with a friendly female bartender and helpful server named Dan. Although Tribute was still not available, another real ale was on offer. The meals were satisfying, but the cold cannonball peas could use improvement. It would make a big difference to serve them hot. It is important to always have a good selection of real ales and to train staff to not serve cloudy beer. Overall, there are improvements to be made, but the potential is there."

"This is without a doubt the best Greek food in the UK and some of the best food I have ever eaten. Myself and my partner order a take out every single Saturday night without fail. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is so cosy and welcoming and is a lovely evening out. You won’t be disappointed when eating here but be prepared to crave the food and want to eat it every single day!"

"THE best pub in Ribchester! Fabulous freshly prepared home cooked food, great size portions and so delicious. All the staff are friendly and bend over backwards to make you feel welcome. The restaurant is clean and inviting. The main bar is comfortable, child and dog friendly as is the more “pub like” bar and you can eat in both. The “champagne lounge” is a beautiful multifunctional room. We love the White Bull, Julie and her team so much we decided to hold our small wedding reception there. Our expectations were surpassed by the attentiveness and attention to detail Julie, Dipak and Jeanette afforded us. The food was awesome and was served by the most amazing team of staff. We stayed in the hotel the night before and the night of the wedding, the rooms are comfortable and pristinely clean. Nothing was too much trouble. We loved every second of our family meal the night before the wedding, the day and the night of the wedding and even returned two nights later for another meal with friends."
