"Four of us went for a midweek lunch. The table and had been booked and was ready for us. The dining area is warm and spacious, everything clean and appealing. The owners and Staff are extremely attentive and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. We had all pre ordered the Greek Meze. You can give them your budget, and they provide food accordingly . 4 courses in all for £30pp, and I can assure any reader here, that I didn’t eat anything else that day. All the courses were traditional and authenticity presented. Every dish was individually cooked , the meats were to die for. Sauces and the usual side dips accompanied each course. We were not left wanting. My only comment would be, that I wish we could have had longer break between courses as per the normal Greek way of dining . So if you don’t want all the courses top to tail, just let them know at the outset. Not a complaint, more our fault for not saying in the first place. I certainly think we had value for money, the food and the bar. The place is also dog friendly. I f you enjoy food, Greek or otherwise I would thoroughly recommend this establishment. We will all be returning for another excellent dining experience."

Visited on a busy Tuesday evening and enjoyed a lovely meal. The food was plentiful and well cooked and presented. Very tasty and with a Greek theme, a tasty change from the usual pub grub. We will be back again soon to try some of the other dishes

Dinner for two and the authentic greek choices on the menu were lovely. Mains courses of Moussaka and Spetsofai didn't disappoint and very obviously home made. Attentive, friendly staff made for a wonderful experience in this lovely village pub. Definitely recommend.

Booked a table here for my partners 50th birthday and it was fabulous from start to finish! The staff were wonderful and accommodating, decorating the table prior to our arrival. The Greek food was incredible. They even brought out my partners birthday cake to Happy Birthday music, which made it extra special! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone celebrating a special occasion, or simply for a tasty meal! We will be going back again. View menu

What a wonderful lunchtime experience in this gorgeous, cosy country pub. My first ever visit with my Dad I was very impressed with the place. The staff were so friendly genuinely interested in us. The food was amazing, we chose from the Greek Menu, both meat dishes, Beef Stifado plus a beautiful Pork dish in a white wine cream sauce. Within a few minutes of our arrival other customers were entering the pub saying how lovely it was to see a real log fire. I honestly could not find any fault with our visit, Dad I shall definitely visit again

A beautiful family run business in a beautiful location. A warm welcome and in winter a warm fire adding to the ambience. I couldn't put an estimate of how many meals I have had here but the food, the service and general ambience are second to none. The Greek menu is amazing and you can have traditional British classics and a Sunday roast that is legendary and tremendous value for money. The Oak draws people from miles around and it is easy to see why. In the summer there is seating outside by the beautiful beck. From a quick drink and chat to a three course meal the Royal Oak is the perfect location.

"We choose this spot because of the many positive reviews. I guess we turned up on a bad day!I have only been introduced to coffee a few years ago despite being in my mid 50’s and really don’t like coffee unless a well made flat white. I travel the world frequently for work and always ask the same question, can you make a flat white? The reason being unless the person is a passionate barista I rarely get a coffee I enjoy. This question clearly upset the lady serving us who ‘rolled her eyes out loud’ by the question and then represented the request to her colleague in a manner that was more like ‘we have a pain in the arse’ than ‘can we make this gentleman a nice coffee. (Yes we overheard).Everything was fine except the flat white was a milky coffee and not something I enjoyed. Not a problem though. I never said a word but when asked at the counter how things were I thought I would say everything was good except the ‘flat white’. Immediately confronted by both in very hostile way was very surprising as I was only answering a question I thought they were interested in hearing I placed a review on their website and their response is a really good example of their attitude. Instead of focusing on service recovery they wanted to blame me and absolve themselves of any responsibility.I of course mentioned this to a few people in Sleaford and surprise surprise was met with very similar responses, ‘we don’t go there anymore as the staff can be very rude’ Looking forward to seeing how the proprietors decide to respond to this one."
