"Been going here for a fairly long time going back a few years since it was at Silverburn and now situated at Braehead . Pretty disappointed upon our recent visit . Pasta bowls reduced in size drastically and had 3 bits of chicken in it (which we paid extra for) . The pizza was the same, ordered the posh pepperoni which used to come on a large oblong wooden board and is now served as a small round pizza and again with reduced toppings; for £16.50 for the pizza alone I found this very disappointing. Soft drinks expensive and overall it all felt lacking in the portion sizes quantity department . This is a shame as the food was still really tasty. I don’t think we will be back this time round and will likely try some of the other restaurants around that are doing similar deals food . I understand times are hard for everyone Prezzo including the smaller businesses but this will lose you valuable time served customers like myself who can hardly afford to feed myself and two kids as it is ."

"It 's quite difficult to weed out the 'reviews ' from the reviews these days. This is a review. I visited very early evening on a rainy Halloween without a booking. From the outside it looks pretty lively it certainly stands out from the many other Italians in Scarborough. The gentleman who greeted me didn 't flinch, tut or roll his eyes when I said I admitted I was without booking and offered me a table by the fire in the bar. He then pitched up quickly with a menu and took my drink order: Birra Moretti on tap hurrah who wouldn 't? I had come specifically for pizza and even the specials board couldn 't dissuade me. I ordered the Diavola, which came with a warning due to its chilli and N 'duja content. I was feeling adventurous. A steaming pizza duly arrived and I ate every bit. It was absolutely delicious: very thin base perfectly topped with aforesaid toppings along with pepperoni. It was hot, but not too hot (no need for a warning) and the meaty bits were good and salty. 'Reviews ' claim this is the best restaurant in Scarborough. It may be, but as I haven 't visited every restaurant in Scarborough I can 't verify that. But what I can say with honesty is that this is a lovely, cozy Italian serving perfect pizza."

"My husband, son, and I recently visited San Giovanni's for the first time since before the COVID lockdown, and we were thrilled to be able to enjoy a sit-down meal experience once again. Although we have been ordering takeout meals, there is just something special about sitting around a table together. It was my 65th birthday, and this dinner was a wonderful treat. We started with garlic bread and a variety of appetizers, including tender spare ribs, meatballs, and calamari. For our main courses, I had a delicious fillet steak stroganoff with rice, my husband tried the linguine al gamberoni, and my son enjoyed his favorite, lobster ravioli. We finished off with affogato for dessert, our go-to Italian treat. We enjoyed a selection of drinks including a mojito cocktail, beer, and a lovely bottle of wine with our meals. The total bill came to a reasonable £191. One small issue was that our online reservation did not receive an acknowledgement, so we called to confirm our booking. While it was not a problem for a quiet Thursday evening, it could be disappointing on a busier night or special occasion. I would recommend calling to book in the future. Overall, it was a fantastic evening and we highly recommend San Giovanni's."

"While not exclusively a gluten-free establishment, this French bistro is excellent at accommodating dietary needs. The staff is knowledgeable about the ingredients in their dishes and can confirm which items are gluten-free. I have enjoyed delicious gravy, fries (make sure to check if the fryer is gluten-free that day), and their chocolate dessert. I have dined here multiple times and have not experienced any issues with gluten contamination."

"This is the place to book for a delicious meal where the tortelloni pasta is rolled thinly, the pasta bases are proper italiano, the sauces are tasty and the meat specialities like veal, beef and 'pollo ' are always tender. Ask for the soup of the day for an unusual but spot on combination.try and avoid the complimentary bread and olives if you don 't want to be too full before the main meal arrives! These are not small dieters portions, so ask for a small helping if you 're worried about that kind of thing. There are no pretences or frills, this is trattoria styling with full blown flavours of Italy. The warm welcome you get from the owners is unequalled in any other Aberdeen restaurant of this ilk. Minimal improvements could be made to the baby changing toilet facilities and maybe by stocking some prosecco this restaurant would be 100% splendid. But the food could not get any better. Try, try and try again"

"Parkside Brasserie was recommended by a friend and we found it charming and authentic, with typically French menu. Our food was very enjoyable and service was attentive and careful. The ambience throughout is exactly what we hoped to find and I will be delighted to recommend it to others who want to find a whisper instead of a shout in foodland! Merci Beaucoup Parkside Brasserie!"

"the food we ordered was absolutely beautiful. so delicious, well cooked and served with a smile. children's meals are excellent value for money. the staff was very friendly, friendly and very helpful when we wanted to change our order. the manager is something else, he made my evening. such a funny, quirky on the ball sense for humor. the reason I give them only 4 starts, although they earn 5, the chairs are a little unloved, old and broken. we will finally visit prezzo again."

"Sadly, in a half empty restaurant, we were only offered a table by the door on a cold night. We noticed there were only two further reservations listed but apparently no other table was available. The lacklustre welcome and the chilly reception made us leave."

"Two of us popped in for lunch. Chicken carbonara which was really nice. I chose the chicken Caesar salad. It was as the menu stated, baby gem lettuce, chicken and dressing. Baby gem lettuce is already pretty limp and I’ve never heard of that being used in this dish. Dressing bit sharp. It was just disappointing and could be so much better. Needs crotons, anchovies, egg, romaine lettuce, creamy dressing. Or even just a couple of these items would improve it he dish. My feedback is for Prezzo as a chain. I blame myself for not looking at the dish contents beforehand! The following day we ate at Pizza Express and theirs was so much nicer and more as it should be. My rating is based on the overall experience and not on one dish that was just lacklustre."

"Visited with friends on a dismal winter day when the lock gates were being repaired and an ultra low tide. I imagine on a fine day it would be far more appealing. I chose Fish and chips which were pretty average, however our companions chose rather more wisely and were very happy with their food. Cost was £30 each for 2 courses Inc a glass of wine and service."

"We stayed here for a wedding and it was just incredible. The attention to detail is unmatched and the decor is amazing I did ask front of house for some stockists but, predictably, everything is made bespoke for Gleneagles The service was absolutely impeccable from the wedding dinner to the breakfast I couldn’t fault it at all. The food is delicious and perfectly prepared The rooms are sumptuous and well appointed Well worth the trip if you’re treating yourself it’s a truly beautiful place to experience."

"We were lucky enough to experience the taster menu twice last year, a wonderful experience which has stayed in our memory. This year we visited Wheelers with a couple of friends for lunch, unfortunately due to timings we were unable to book for the taster menu in the evening. The restaurant was very busy, but we had booked well in advance for our table of 4. Service initially was a little rushed, but still friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food, once again, was sensational, everything from crab cakes which apparently have been on the menu for 25 years), cod, served with gazpacho, lobster lasagne, sea trout, perfectly cooked scallops, Oriental prawn and scallop dumplings, beautiful fresh Whitstable native oysters and the list goes on... As if this wasn't enough, a myriad of delights on the deli counter on the way out. We could never tire of this place, or the innovative new dishes or even the old faithfuls). Just wish we were closer to Whitstable! One not to miss."

"Been going here for years and not left a review, now it's time. Food was brilliant and the staff were very attentive but not overly attentive. I can't fault our experience. The chips are amazing as is the Pollo Creme with a bit of extra garlic in the sauce. Would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a couple of hours of nice ambiance and friendly staff."
"I have been dining at this restaurant for a long time, starting back when it was located at Silverburn and now at Braehead. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed during my recent visit. The pasta bowls were significantly smaller and only had three pieces of chicken in them (which we paid extra for). The pizza was also smaller than before; I ordered the posh pepperoni, which used to come on a large wooden board but is now served as a small round pizza with fewer toppings. At £16.50 for the pizza alone, I found this very disappointing. The soft drinks were expensive and overall, the portion sizes felt lacking. Despite the food still being tasty, I don't think I will be returning this time. I may try some other restaurants in the area that offer similar deals. I understand that times are tough for everyone, including Prezzo and smaller businesses, but this may result in losing loyal customers like myself who struggle to afford meals for themselves and their children."

"Lovely food, prompt and attentive service, welcoming and friendly and very reasonably priced what more can I say! My partner and I called in tonight after a day at the cricket and despite being our first visit were made to feel like regulars. We both had pizza which was fresh, very tasty and arrived quickly. We finished off with liqueur coffee which thoroughly warmed us through definitely needed after a day in the Manchester summer . We were also offered a complimentary drink which was a lovely touch. Thoroughly recommended."

"Booked because of the 2 course for £15 deal which is excellent quality and value. Be aware that you cannot get a bottle of wine under £30! But if you choose sensibly it is still quite a good deal. Service is quite pretentious -we had our dessert interrupted 3 times by 3 different members of staff asking us if we wanted tea/coffee. I felt they wanted to hurry us out of there. I also felt that the £15 set meal people (which most of us were on a Saturday lunchtime) were slightly looked down on. Not sure why they make a thing of calling the restaurant after the old Scotland Yard number which was never known as one twenty one two. It was always known as Whitehall 1212; if the restaurant had been so named, people would recognise it immediately."

"Visited here for lunch with friends to celebrate a special occasion. We chose the 3 course meal deal for approx £23.95 each. The food was amazing. Each course was so tasty and well presented. Couldn’t fault at all. The service from the female waitress was great and she was very friendly and chatty. The restaurant was clean and other staff also friendly. Would definitely recommend this place."

"We’re definitely heading back tomorrow! My friend and I were craving Italian food and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant just a short walk from our hotel. Our cravings were more than satisfied. We started with a sensational garlic pizza bread, which was simply fantastic. For the main course, my friend had a delicious creamy salmon dish, while I indulged in a mouthwatering pasta with Italian sausage and salami. To top it off, we enjoyed one of the best desserts I've ever had—the screamberry cheesecake. Everything was fresh, well-balanced, and superb, enhanced by the exceptionally friendly and efficient service. We still have a few days left in the Lake District, and we've already booked a table for another visit!"

"After using Prezzo here for many years and usually always very good it was very disappointing on Sunday. The restaurant was empty which surprised me especially this time of year admittedly football was on but was very odd. The place was so cold I had to ask for the heating to go on. The food was disappointing this time I had Calamari as no cheese for starters available Calamari was not something I would normally order. My chicken burger was only luke warm. My husband and daughter had the gnocchi and prawns they said very bland. The gorgonzola pizza my daughter had the garlic butter on top had not melted and the ham was just thrown on top 2 pieces ! The child's pizza was extremely small. Desserts were okay but no ice cream or cream offered. When your paying full prices this time of year i definitely expect better! To top it all I had severe diarhea all day Monday and was fine whilst out on the Sunday. We never said anything at the time even tipping but to be honest I won't be using Upminster prezzo again which is a shame as was our local totally put us off !"

"We went for a family meal, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ordered several starters which all came and were very nice. The mains arrived(ish) they dropped one of the meals so that came later these things happen. The special Swordfish ..was as dry as a bone, this was returned and the chef re.cooked the dish and sent a new meal out which was cooked to perfection and lovely, which begs the question Why was the original dish even served The Calzone was not very pleasant it was over powered with ricotta cheese to the degree that the other fillings were unnoticeable, however we didn't complain as they were obviously having a difficult evening! This was one of our many visits to this restaurant, had this been the first time it would have been the last."
