"Booked because of the 2 course for £15 deal which is excellent quality and value. Be aware that you cannot get a bottle of wine under £30! But if you choose sensibly it is still quite a good deal. Service is quite pretentious -we had our dessert interrupted 3 times by 3 different members of staff asking us if we wanted tea/coffee. I felt they wanted to hurry us out of there. I also felt that the £15 set meal people (which most of us were on a Saturday lunchtime) were slightly looked down on. Not sure why they make a thing of calling the restaurant after the old Scotland Yard number which was never known as one twenty one two. It was always known as Whitehall 1212; if the restaurant had been so named, people would recognise it immediately."

it is not that the employees were very nice and polite, that they were without personality and only did their job. eat well when

Food was good but not outstanding, service ok, surroundings nice, there is a terrace for smokers/outside, a little pricey if you're not on an offer. View menu

the staff was friendly and courteous, the place was beautiful and quiet. eating was nice, but a bit expensive, but the children's menu was excellent and good value for money.

Service was good and the wine as excellent (French Merlot). Food also good but IT issues at the end meant we took over 30 minutes to pay our bill. Which was a shame and spoiled what would have been an excellent experience.

we arrived and expected a top quality experience only to say that we had to pay cash as the credit card machine was down and then they could not find our booking. Finally we sat and then had to wait 20 minutes before we got a service (the place was less than half full). when eating arrived, it was very good, although the chosen wein was not available. when we tried the money and went, the machine was still broken, so I had to go into the cash and pay. francen wetherspoons offer better service! The reviews for this restaurant were good so I booked it for a pre theatre meal for 7 people. Even though we arrived at 5.30pm, and advised the restaurant we had to leave at 7pm, we only just had time for a starter and main course. The service was extremely slow, and I had to chase the waiters for both courses. We even had to ask for our second bottle of wine to be opened, as no one was paying attention to whether our glasses needed topping up or not. Avoid at all costs unless you are very happy to have a slow meal with inefficient service.

The RHG Hotel is stunning and in a great location. However we had to wait nearly an hour for our food. The restaurant was very understaffed. We had to go to the front of house to get our coffee. At this point we had been in the restaurant for two hours and had had only one course. To compensate for this we were given our coffee free but we would rather have had it in good time. In the end we were overcharged for a side we neither ordered nor had delivered. On the whole very disappointing. The staff did their best but there were not enough of them.
