"As for the food and drinks, the scones were standard at best, though the cocktail was delicious and visually appealing. However, the tea was not to my liking; the chamomile flavor was heavily diluted, resulting in a poor tea-to-water ratio. The second waiter simply replaced my water glass with still water, and while he was apologetic, he admitted to forgetting our order. The cleanliness of the dining area also left much to be desired. Loud pop music from a nearby party and boisterous chatter from an adjacent table disrupted the atmosphere. On a positive note, the aesthetics of the main hall were festive and attractive, which was a nice contrast to the distracting noise."

"booking for 11:30 o'clock Sunday morning. only with brunch, which is normally not a problem, but the Brunch menu offers were a ridiculously small selection. a few real net parts and then a few pages. also, no one said that it was only brunch at the time of booking or confirmation (i.e. with someone on the phone for the confirmation.) the waiter, although really nice, seemed completely lost. we decided to wait until 12:00 for the lunch menu and had to ask a few more times to see the lunch menu so we can order in the location. the bratsirloin and fish and chips were great, but the pig was very dry. it was not very busy, but it seemed complete chaos. the other tables around us had problems getting someone to place ordering or to ask for additional items (also had to ask for salt and pfeffer, not already on the tables.) we often go there enough and it is usually very good. that was hopefully only a free day for everyone. will return definitiw. but if they only serve brunch until 12:00, there should be more. the summerhouse brunch menu brings this to shame."

"We then opted for the chicken and lamb shish, which was beautifully cooked and tender. However, the portion of rice salad was quite small and finished before we could enjoy the rest of the meal. We ordered a strawberry mojito, but the order got mixed up twice. Although it tasted fine, it felt a bit overpriced for what it was. Additionally, we were surprised that Turkish tea wasn’t offered and wasn’t complimentary, which are small details that can greatly enhance the customer experience. Despite these issues, I would still recommend this restaurant and would consider returning to hopefully try the chicken and lamb dishes. With a few adjustments, this place could truly shine, as the decor and excellent music create a wonderful atmosphere."

"The food was ok; we were a little disappointed as we had previously eaten in your Chelsea restaurant and I was raving about the chicken moussakhan. Three of us wanted the dish on our visit to Manchester, but unfortunately it wasn't available that night. Otherwise the food was ok. It was the service that was really poor. We asked for extra flatbreads and despite being quiet they took a long time to arrive perhaps 20 minutes, we had to ask 3 times for them. Customer service was poor we weren't asked once if we had had a good meal. It was rather disappointing really as it was a birthday treat for 3 of our guests, which I had stated in the booking. Unlike some restaurants no mention of our birthdays were made"

However food was really ordinary the bread tasted like a toasted sliced loaf and the meats were poor quality. Vegetarian dish was fine but totally unremarkable. We dined on a 50% discount offer but had we paid full price would have felt really hard done by."

The roast sirloin and fish and chips were great, but the pork was very dry. It wasn't very busy but seemed utter chaos. The other tables around us were having issues getting anyone over to place orders or ask for additional items (even had to ask for salt and pepper, not already on the tables). We go there often enough, and it's normally very good. This was hopefully just an off day for everyone. Will definitely go back. Suggest though that if they're only serving brunch until 12:00 that there should be more on offer. The Summerhouse brunch menu puts this one to shame."

"My wife made a reservation for six of us to celebrate a special birthday meal three weeks in advance. We took two taxis to the restaurant, but when we arrived, the place was dark and our friends were waiting outside. After contacting the owner, we found out that the restaurant was closed due to an electrical fault in the kitchen. The owner was not even aware that his restaurant was closed and apologized for not informing us earlier. We ended up going to the restaurant next door, where we were told that this situation was common. It was a disappointment and ruined our special day. The way this business is run is mind-boggling. I may consider returning for my 140th birthday if their reputation improves."

"There was no one manning the entrance to the restaurant when we arrived, the only member of staff around was more interested in paperwork than serving customers. The people before me had clearly been waiting for someone to turn up. After asking if we were together (no finally showed them to a table and left me standing by the entrance while he served customers at the bar (which was not busy! . I sat myself down in the end. The waitress who later turned up was professional and attentive. However the same guy reappeared at 10.20 to hurry us out as he said the restaurant was closing. There were still a number of customers in the bar. Clearly customers aren’t his priority! Otherwise reasonable food for the price"

"STAY AWAY!! Terrible customer service, just like the other negative reviews say. I planned a brunch at Smiths Bar Grill with Sintillate. It was advertised as a 90-minute all-you-can-eat-and-drink event. My guests arrived on time but were told they had to order food within 30 minutes as last orders were at 4pm. After waiting for 20 minutes, they were only served water. They ended up leaving because of the poor service and strange atmosphere caused by the rushed ordering timeframe. It completely ruined the birthday celebration. To make matters worse, when I complained via email, the management did not apologize or take responsibility. The manager even falsely claimed we had 60 minutes to order food (which is not true) and still not the promised 90 minutes of bottomless food and drink. The customer service was hostile, and the manager even hung up on me during a call to discuss the situation. They did not refund the deposit and made me feel like I was the problem. Overall, a complete lack of customer service and hostility. It's best to avoid this place and book elsewhere where you will be welcomed with open arms."

"Comptoir is one of my favorite restaurants in Bath. Having visited Beirut frequently, I can say that Comptoir's food is authentic, fresh, and incredibly tasty. It reminds me so much of Lebanon. When my parents visited Bath, I took them to Comptoir. My Dad, who used to fly in and out of Beirut and eat there all the time, was very impressed by the food. This is a fantastic endorsement for the delicious taste of authentic Lebanese cuisine. We are lucky to live nearby and can enjoy dining there regularly. The staff is excellent and the restaurant is always fresh, clean, and lively. As soon as you walk in, you are welcomed with a warm greeting and a vibrant ambiance that transports you to a different world. I highly recommend trying Comptoir - you won't be disappointed."

"The food was alright. Expensive for what it is really small portions of meat, over generous with rice. Small starters and desserts. It was a bit bland and boring. They add the service charge on, so you would have to request it’s removed if you don’t agree with it. The restaurant is decorated nicely though, has a nice atmosphere."

"We had lunch at Smith’s. It’s one of those places where you enter and the first impression is mind blowing. The renovated building is beautiful and the location is quite unique, just by the river in Paddington basin area. The vibe when you walk in is great.
