"Stumbled across the tap room between a pre-drink cocktail and our dinner reservation. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, offering a couple of tries of the vast number of beers they had on tap. Settled on a rum cask beer (delicious) while the other half...was very happy with a cocktail. Only thing that dulled this visit was the lack of table space, but the staff were happy for us to stay at the bar and enjoy our drinks. Noting this was a Thursday around 8pm, I imagine it is a very popular location so would recommend booking if you want a seat. Otherwise, a great find that I would recommend!"

"I recently visited Chicago Rib Shack on its opening night in Twickenham, and I must say that the young staff did a fantastic job. There were no signs of opening day nerves, they managed the seating times perfectly to prevent overwhelming the kitchen. Our waitress informed us that most of the staff were new, but the cooking team had experience and demonstrated their skills in preparing delicious food. After enjoying a drink at the bar, we ordered a round of starters. Getting three starters for £14 was a great deal. Twickenham has not had many new and trendy restaurants like London, so it's refreshing to have these newer options available now."

"So stopped in to get my Caribbean fix, as I've been away from home. Now for a few months. I was welcomed by a really friendly hostess, who immediately informed me their CC machine wasn't working and could only take cash, I only came for...takeout so I placed my order with another lovely lady server, excellent service. Oh and the place was packed. I put my order in for my two beef patties and order a vx and coke (usual drink at home), of course in the UK you have to order doubles everywhere, expensive no ras for that. Shoot, my bar at home free poor rum vx and coke and a free poor is over easy. So rip off in my book, plus the Bartender thought he was the coolest thing, the guys has no idea, come to the Caribbean and you'll meet some cool and worthy bartenders. Back to the Patties, well firstly, I'm not sure we're the got fruit patty from but that isn't no Caribbean dish, us persons from the Caribbean want fish, chicken, meat and for Patty, beef! Now for and change you would expect a pretty decent size patty, not today bobo.. Two little patties about the size of my pinky finger, and microwaved hot, not fresh, of and we in the Caribbean don't have Indian curry patties! Becuase that what was given to me. Anyway, the place is busy, from what I observed its definitely not a true Caribbean restaurant, we at home wouldn't serve some of the food they had on the menu. Won't go back to get my fix, sorry such bad review, becuase the hostess and server were fantastic."

"After reading the reviews, we had high expectations for our visit to Mad Dogs on a Thursday evening. However, the restaurant was surprisingly quiet, and the waitress directed us to the bar area, where we found bench-style seating. We started with poppers and mozzarella sticks, both of which were generously portioned and delicious. For our main course, we ordered ribs, but unfortunately, they were too dry and not something we would recommend. The overall atmosphere felt a bit lackluster, and the decor was quite plain."

"Simply pulled delicious roasted pork from the best farms. You can add tasty sauces such as spicy creamy cheese, haggis, sweet apple and something else I can't remember right now (sorry) and have a cold or hot drink. They had a very special beer which I can't, again, remember the name, but I do remember the feeling it gave me from the first sip till the last. Pretty good place with affordable prices. It was so good that I ate 2 rolls of that greasy and juicy pulled hog roast in a stroke of savage gluttony. Loved it."

"Friday evening dinner for before visiting elfingrove on December. The positives were: Waiter was polite Free Sundae for dessert San Pellgrino soft drink was served in a nice glass The Negatives were: Definitely not young child friendly (acknowledge I...chose this venue). Very loud music. Rugby on TV’s. Service was bang average gave young children soft drinks in highball glasses (no straws) heart was in my mouth every time they took a drink. Metal cutlery forks same size as my daughters head. Food was terrible. Advised that the “fire cracker chicken burger” was “awesome” or “immense” I think was how it was described. Really poor offering. Over fried, small chicken portions more coating than chicken and taste of nothing really other than oil. Brioche roll was cold. Fries were fried to within an inch of their lives. Literally no potatoe just fried crisps. Rubbish. Chicago dogs not sure how they cook these but quite hard. Suspect they were reheated so difficult to hold any freshness. Daughters couldn’t get near them. Again dog rolls cold both quickly despatched by daughters who focused on the fried crisp offerings. I tried them. Really poor hot dogs and I mean really poor. Don’t bother is my advice. Mrs was not impressed with her burger (with cheese and bacon). She ate half and I had a go at it. Burger was actually quite tasty but again roll was cold. Again not worth the effort. I was really hungry so cracked on and didn’t complain when asked if everything was ok. You know that you’ve made the effort and get the feeling that any replacement will be as bad as the original. Food was edible so I ate mine but I genuinely couldn’t tell you if the chicken was tasty as there was so little of it in amongst the fried coating. I ordered a sundae that came in a nice glass, toffee sauce and squirty cream. Pretty poor effort. The waiter didn’t charge me for this thankfully. I wouldn’t go back to crafty pig for food. The chef/cook must be having a laugh if he/she thinks that’s acceptable for paying customers. No care at all with what was served. Crafty Pig must do better "

"We were lucky to get a table as the restaurant was full when we arrived, luckily someone was leaving so managed to get a seat straight away. Very popular place so be prepared to wait for a table at peak times. We had the porchetta and philly cheese and shared some poutine which was also amazing! Very glad I went with the fresh home made lemonade too was so refreshing. We sat at the window and was one of the best people watching restaurants ive ever eaten at which I loved. Definitely would go again if I visited Cambridge again. 10/10"

"The Nelson Head is an authentic pub that has been serving delicious, homemade, hearty food for a long time. It caters to both locals and visitors, with walls adorned with memorabilia and local items of interest. They offer a wide selection of ales and ciders, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed the liver and bacon dish with mashed potatoes and peas, which was perfection. My husband struggled to finish his generous portion of scampi, which was the largest we had ever seen. The food was great value for money and perfect for a winter's day. The pub is dog-friendly and has an inviting open fire to relax next to. It is conveniently located near Horsey Gap beach, making it a great stop before or after a visit to the beach. It's no wonder this pub was recommended to us - we will definitely be returning."

"We loved our meal at Hard Rock! So nice to eat real American food after being overseas for so long. However, I have to admit I was a little disappointed with the table set up. There are no booths, just cheap looking tables and chairs that you could have found in a school cafeteria. I have definitely been to nicer Hard Rock cafes"

"Hot summer evening and what is now rebranded Porky's was the perfect spot for some southern cooking. Ribs were falling off the bone tender and pulled pork tasted just right. Only slight criticisms being that the beer whilst excellent seemed woefully expensive and a bit of authentic Southern charm was missing from the otherwise efficient service."

"We visited the old bull inn for a wedding reception and I was so shocked by how disorganised the venue was. When we arrived it was a super hot day and we had a disabled grandparent with us and found out when we arrived their was NO DISABLED ACCESS to the Venue room so had to carry our 93 year old grandfather up the front stairs and then again up another flight of stairs to the room we was eating in as the older women with blonde hair refused to let us use the back slop into the building. Once we was inside the lady continued to be really rude to everyone including the bride and groom which was very awkward. Once we was all seated the food began to come out, some of it came straight to the table and they knew who it was for and some of it was a pick a mix of who it was going to. A few people didn’t get their starters and nothing was done to rectify this was just taken as ‘oh well you don’t have a starter’. This theme continued through dinner some people didn’t get the meal they asked for or a meal at all and desert was the same and in the end no one knew what was what and gave up so some people didn’t eat. Once we had dinner we was all asked to leave the room so they could clear the tables so again having to move our 93yr old grandparent down the stairs again into the bar. Once we was at the bar I Noticed some children playing with their goody bags they had been given at their table and the older women who was being rude at the beginning of the day was back and having a pop at the children for playing with their stuff in the corridor between the 2 rooms, I was shocked as they were only playing like children do and she was so aggressive and rude to them That they looked like they were upset and run back to their parents. From what I saw this was happening all the time until she eventually went home. The evening was good once everyone was dancing but the venue itself was very disorganised and I’m unsure as to why people work in venues like this when they obviously do not like people and children and seemed like the older blonde lady with glasses really dampened the day for everyone she come into contact with."

"The worst restaurant in Windsor. I came here on my birthday last year and had the worst experience in a restaurant in my life. We had to wait for ages for our table, even though we had pre-booked one. Then we had to wait over twenty minutes for them to come over and ask us for our drinks orders. We were ready to order at that time so ordered our starters and mains. Our drinks came with our starters, nearly half hour after we had ordered. The drinks were watered down and the starters were not terrible, but not incredible either. We then waited for another half hour for our mains to arrive, but grew tired and hungry waiting, so in the end I had to chase up our waitress to demand where our food was because we were being ignored after waiting for ages. She told us it was going to be another twenty-thirty minutes. All she had to do was come over and explain to us in the first place that it was extra busy tonight so the food was going to take longer, but she had zero customer service skills. I asked to speak to the manager and was given the head waitress instead. We told her we were going because we could not wait any longer and we had already been seated for an hour and a half and not even received our main meals yet. She took the starters off our receipt and only charged us for the drinks. This could have been avoided if someone had the decency to explain to us what was going on. We could have then decided whether we wanted to stay and order a few more drinks while we waited for our meal, or chosen to go somewhere else. By the time this ordeal was over, it was after 10pm and too late to get into any other restaurant. In the end, we decided to go home and order Dominos. My 29th birthday was spent in a foul mood, in the worst restaurant ever without even eating there. Thanks for ruining my birthday, Charley's Horse. And thanks for retrieving it, Dominos."

"I came here a while ago, and I thought Katie was good. That's when I met Jorge, more like Jore-yay! It was incredible, made Aphrodite feel poor. It was like a Greek Hercules, striding muscularly down the steps to serve us. Never did I think Katie would be outmatched, how wrong was I?!! Very. Jorge served us like Federer at Wimbledon. Unbelievable. It was game, set and match, championship point. Katie Creed, learn some lessons!!!! Boo Kooks, merci boo kooks, an orgasm of the mouth, I can't thank you enough. Phenomenal. Djokovic, Nadal, Murray, it was ace the entire time."

"eating was amazing as the menu made it sound service was really good, waitress was attentive and friendly. I was a little concerned with the little dessert menu, as this is my fav part of any meal, but seriously, if they were 'the chocolate pot' there, there is no need for anything else! if their chocolate lover this is something they would never have experienced"

"When my friend booked Howies for lunch he was unaware of a 2 hour table time. When we arrived at Howies we were shown to our table and the 2 hour table time was certainly not mentioned. We were given menus and then we waited and waited then the waiter came and took our drinks order, which was a bottle of wine the waiter seemed very nice and affable. Then we waited and waited and then after maybe 40 minutes our order was taken we were fine with this as we were enjoying the craic. The starter arrived and it was lovely. The main arrived and was good. The same waiter came and asked if we would like a dessert and no mention of being under pressure for the table was mentioned we ordered a dessert. The dessert came and all of a sudden the pressure came on for the table the waiter was unpleasant and rude. We needed the toilet and came back, I met the waiter and asked for the bill to be told that it was on the table waiting to be paid. We were not offered the option to have coffee or any further drinks anywhere else in the restaurant! Being annoyed by this turn of events we challenged the waiter and told him of our disappointment at being treated in this poor manner when we felt that they caused the delay in the first instance 40 mins to take a food order he seemed to think we were wrong. At this stage there was still nobody at our table and still nobody waiting to take the table. I have this to say, the paying customer is always king and staff would do well to remember this. I am a regular diner in Edinburgh and will be taking my custom elsewhere going forwards."
