"I adore this restaurant. I brought my significant other here for our first date, and we revisited 4 years later to find that the place is just as amazing as before. The food is decadent, a delight for the taste buds and ideal for food enthusiasts. They offer a wide selection of craft beers, play great music, and have stylish interior decor. The only issue with this place is that it's located too far away! Please open a location in Cardiff soon!"

"The service was terrible, the female server said I don't know in a rude and condescending tone when asked if the app wasn't working, as we had ordered and paid on app, and had been waiting 20 minutes without receiving our order. Staff claimed...they don't know when they get an order through the app. We didn't have time for drinks in the end, as we had a meal booked elsewjere. I have not yet received a refund for the order I didn't receive. Really a shame, as every other venue in Edinburgh was fab. Staff members involved should be held accountable and given training to improve customer service skills. Wouldn't advise anyone to use the app, as you will most likely not get what you order."

"I recently visited Chicago Rib Shack on its opening night in Twickenham, and I must say that the young staff did a fantastic job. There were no signs of opening day nerves, they managed the seating times perfectly to prevent overwhelming the kitchen. Our waitress informed us that most of the staff were new, but the cooking team had experience and demonstrated their skills in preparing delicious food. After enjoying a drink at the bar, we ordered a round of starters. Getting three starters for £14 was a great deal. Twickenham has not had many new and trendy restaurants like London, so it's refreshing to have these newer options available now."

"Attended with family for an birthday celebration having been recommended for its food but would think again if warm and inviting service is what i wanted! Having been squeezed into a booth (not what was confirmed at the time of booking) we felt extremely...cramped but still decided to make the most of it. The service was slow (no apologies for delays) felt like an age to get our starters, mains were Luke warm and to be honest there were only a few things on the menu that was worth the wait for! The waitress who initially seated us was the only person that was in any way attentive to customers (of which we tipped her separately) and if it wasn't for the alcohol our special night would have been entirely ruined. High expectations, sadly very disappointing."

"The male staff gave me attitude through out my order, very impatient and quite rude making my dining experience bad. I was looking at the menu trying to figure out how to order then the male staff gave me attitude and hurried me to make my mind up which bread I wanted. I had no idea what bread or what they offered. He was not impressed when explaining. He even interrupted when I was explaining the menu to my family, that was rude. The roasted hog meat was succulent but could do with more sauce as it was a bit bland."

"After reading the reviews, we had high expectations for our visit to Mad Dogs on a Thursday evening. However, the restaurant was surprisingly quiet, and the waitress directed us to the bar area, where we found bench-style seating. We started with poppers and mozzarella sticks, both of which were generously portioned and delicious. For our main course, we ordered ribs, but unfortunately, they were too dry and not something we would recommend. The overall atmosphere felt a bit lackluster, and the decor was quite plain."

"We came here with high hopes based on the good reviews and on raving reviews from several YouTubers. While the service was very welcoming and friendly, unfortunately the food was very disappointing. We had the buffalo wings and the pulled pork sandwich. The wings were...tiny! Only included the “flats” which had a minuscule amount of meat on them, but the sauce was very good. The pulled pork sandwich was a very odd pairing of flavors. It had bland, dry pork (with no bbq flavor whatsoever), lettuce, tomato, an onion ring and some coleslaw. I’m giving stars for the friendly and attentive service. One star for the food."

"No wonder this little space is packed. Fortunately, a few window side bar seats are still available even during the busy hours in this bread and near heaven. The crispy airy ciabatta was brilliant. Wish you could hear the cracking sound as I cut through the bread. Simply grabbing it and taking a bite, of course, was subliminally satisfying— a generous amount of tenderly cooked brisket, a rich layer of melted but still tangible cheese, and some brightening. The roasted garlic aioli was not overpowering and subtly welded the bread and the meat together with a creamy, sweet-savory taste. I can’t remember when I had my last Philly cheese steak, but this interpretation is great and deserves a name of its own. The roasted veggie side came with a nice variety and was not oily, to my delight. Background music was chill, calming me down amid the stress of eating fast and giving space to others. Will definitely recommend to carnivorous friends :D and come back either with them or by myself."

"We loved our meal at Hard Rock! So nice to eat real American food after being overseas for so long. However, I have to admit I was a little disappointed with the table set up. There are no booths, just cheap looking tables and chairs that you could have found in a school cafeteria. I have definitely been to nicer Hard Rock cafes"

"I visited The Huxley for lunch and had already decided that I was going to be boring and just go for something simple. However, the flatbread with falafel caught my eye. Unfortunately it was served with coleslaw which I for various reasons cannot eat, so when I asked the waitress if I could have it without the coleslaw I was rather impressed when she returned just after a minute to ask if I wanted something else or at least some dressing because otherwise it would be quite bare. Even though the flatbread was still a bit dry (yes it is my own fault for not having it with coleslaw, but I genuinely think falafel is made to be dry) I loved being in there because of the mixture of people...read more"

"Attended a family funeral in Royston, and Old Bull was competively priced compared to the chains who were much further away. The room was comfortable clean and had everything we needed, including tea, coffee, and biscuits. My wife is pretty noise sensitive, so with traditional sash windows and our room being over the outdoor seating area was the downside. The welcome at breakfast and excellent food coffee was positive. Free car park and central location make it hard to beat for the price. Would stay again."

"Great lunch option and right next to the beautiful cathedral! Convenient for getting a quick bite before or after visiting. The pulled pork was very tender and great flavour. I had the chimichuri sauce might have spelled it wrong and the chilli slaw. The chips are crunchy and hot, had an nice flavour but hard to describe. The only thing is it wasn’t spicy at all but still delicious! Lots of space upstairs with lovely deco, fast service too."

"When my friend booked Howies for lunch he was unaware of a 2 hour table time. When we arrived at Howies we were shown to our table and the 2 hour table time was certainly not mentioned. We were given menus and then we waited and waited then the waiter came and took our drinks order, which was a bottle of wine the waiter seemed very nice and affable. Then we waited and waited and then after maybe 40 minutes our order was taken we were fine with this as we were enjoying the craic. The starter arrived and it was lovely. The main arrived and was good. The same waiter came and asked if we would like a dessert and no mention of being under pressure for the table was mentioned we ordered a dessert. The dessert came and all of a sudden the pressure came on for the table the waiter was unpleasant and rude. We needed the toilet and came back, I met the waiter and asked for the bill to be told that it was on the table waiting to be paid. We were not offered the option to have coffee or any further drinks anywhere else in the restaurant! Being annoyed by this turn of events we challenged the waiter and told him of our disappointment at being treated in this poor manner when we felt that they caused the delay in the first instance 40 mins to take a food order he seemed to think we were wrong. At this stage there was still nobody at our table and still nobody waiting to take the table. I have this to say, the paying customer is always king and staff would do well to remember this. I am a regular diner in Edinburgh and will be taking my custom elsewhere going forwards."
