"My family and I love this restaurant and are regulars for eating in and we have had a number of takeaways. The food is brilliant and can’t fault it. The eating in experience is good. However I would advise against ordering a takeaway. Every single time we have ordered the takeaway they with out a doubt are late. The last time I ordered from them I made a point of ordering as soon as the restaurant was open at 5:30 pm. The food did not arrive until 7:45. This would be forgivable if it was a one of but it is not. Being in the restaurant I have witnessed first hand the staff constantly answering the phone to frustrated customers complaining about takeaway wait times. I believe it’s due to the fact they use there own drivers. They have unfortunately lost myself as a takeaway customer now which is a shame as the food is delicious."

"Been here for the very first time. Travelled here for an hour hoping to find a great taste of the great kathmandu. But it was totally not worth it. The staff were not welcoming and ignorant. Had poppadoms as the appetiser first, the onions as a chutney didn’t looked fresh as they tasted bitter. Ordered, chilli chicken, momo and samosa as our starter. However the portion of chilli chicken was okay, but felt like overpriced and was tasteless. Momos fillings were not properly cooked. Chopped Salad (lettuce) served with samosas were 2-3 days old for sure as it had started loosing its colour and seem unappealing. We even added a talk with waiter about the taste of the starters. The waiter said, i will ask with the chef but was unheard. Then we decided not to have our mains over there and asked for the bill. Both the manager and waiter sounded offensive. Really disappointed!!!!"

"My friends and I visited Charlotte street for the first time and had a wonderful lunch at this restaurant! The staff was very accommodating to our group of five."
"With the help of the no. 3 bus, we scaled the heights of Crystal Palace, one of the highest points in South London, to reach, appropriately, a Nepalese restaurant – the Yak Yeti. The Nepalese community in London is a small one, so restaurants serving the cuisine of Nepal are few and far between, although there are two others in the Yak Yeti group, one in Eltham and the other in Bromley."

"Update 31/1/18: I've now been to the actual restaurant which is a nice modern space. Food was great as always, service a touch weird as the server was just very quiet. We have had takeaway from the Yak and Yeti several times (they deliver further if you phone the restaurant than if you try and order on Hungryhouse). They have a whole vegan section of the menu with over 20 dishes and so far we've tried about 10 and haven't been disappointed with any. All the dishes are very reasonably priced at around £6.95 for a curry dish and the vegan special fried rice and mushroom rices are excellent. With a vegan section to make it so easy, we don't bother trying to get curry anywhere else! Only thing to note is that when we order they often send a couple of free poppadoms and I think the generic green dip they send with it is (non-vegan) yogurty. "Last weekend my wife’s family held a gathering of sorts at the Mulberry Tree in Braintree. The food was possibly the worst I’ve eaten and was as far from being reasonably priced as it could be. All the little locals are now owned by chains and we pay our hard earned for frozen nuggets and chips sat with groupon vouchered benefit family’s glued to their phones whilst their half bred kids run riot and then there’s the staff of whom we are an inconvenience to. So when my sister in law and her boyfriend of whose family supply most of the genuine restaurants in the Essex and Suffolk areas with their meat instead of brake bros, they happened to mention the Vine in Great Bardfield. With my 10 year old son racing locally and friends attending to spectate we soon got talking about lunch? We happened to mention the Vine and once the track action finished we were quickly making our way to sunny Great Bardfield. The Vine looks like a traditional pub from the front and has parking accessed via the side entrance. There was a large garden with tables and play area for the kids to play. The restaurant itself is small with a quirky feel and the staff not only very welcoming but they can talk by opening and closing their mouths. There is no pre booking (according to the website) and we arrived unannounced as a group of 7 and got seated right away. The menus were clean and the food has different names so you can read it and not opt for the usual default setting so many of us so often do. We opted for Disco Brisket and The classic burgers, fries on the side with additional onion rings, mozzarella bites and a double portion of chicken wings. The kids had burgers too and this is where things for me set the standard as my youngest of whom is on occasions fussy with his food ate the whole thing before insisting it was the best burger he had eaten. I have to agree as do our friends. The portions were large enough to request a box for the chicken wings to take home, of which when asked the staff were obliging. We had an extremely nice meal with drinks and the bill was a little over £100. The Vine not only exceeded my expectations but has set the bar for other restaurants to catch up or end up as yet another curry house. Cannot wait to return for what will be an adult only evening and my only negative comment was not trying the desserts. The nearest ice cream to us is a drive to Thurrock or to Snugburys in Cheshire so a milk shake or rare flavoured ice cream would be 10/10"

"My family and I (all 30 of us) had a celebration Sunday lunch today for my Mum’s 80th birthday. We had the most delicious food that was plentiful, served promptly and hot no mean feat when there are 30 hungry mouths to feed. All the staff were friendly, supportive and went over and above to be kind and helpful. A special mention to Alex and Kieran who were patient, supportive and kind when my cousin fell ill. We are all so very grateful for all that they did for us. We would most definitely recommend the G&D Graveley and will be back soon to sample some more of their delicious cuisine. Thank you for everything x Also a shout out goes to Mike (an off duty Police Officer) who is a regular he was outstanding with his offer of support and swift action to help us. Thank you x"

"The majority of the food at the restaurant was delicious, however, the popadoms were extremely oily. The waiter explained that they had just been fried, but we found this explanation unacceptable as we have dined at many Indian restaurants and never experienced such greasy popadoms before. The waiter did offer us a complimentary masala popadom, but it was no better. We were also disappointed to learn that the restaurant's alcohol license had expired when we tried to order drinks, which should have been mentioned when we made our reservation. Additionally, we ordered all of our starters and main courses at once, expecting to receive the starters first as we had specified to the waitress. Unfortunately, our dosa's arrived well before the rest of our food, leaving us waiting. When we mentioned this to the waitress, she explained that the kitchen was very busy and suggested we should have informed her when ordering, which we had already done. The loud volume of the television playing Coco Melon and the music made it difficult for the waitress to hear our concerns. To add to the disappointment, a large party with noisy children made it challenging for us to have a conversation without speaking loudly. Overall, our dining experience was not enjoyable and fell short of our expectations, despite the decent quality of the food (excluding the popadoms)."

"Tonight my husband and I came to the restaurant for a meal. It’s our 10th Wedding Anniversary and my husband had booked a table with yourselves as over the years we have had lovely meals at the restaurantUnfortunately tonight wasn’t such an experience. I don’t usually write emails but out of pure annoyance and frustration I find myself writing this one. The whole experience from us arriving to us leaving was one of great disappointment. There was a larger group of diners on the mezzanine floor, we were told by our waitress once seated she would be back in 2 or 3 minutes to take out drinks order, this was way more as she then helped serve mains to the group booking. Our menus were different when we opened them, my husbands had no starters page, we had to ask for a correct menu, once Katie came back she then took our meal choices and drinks order. My husband ordered a Budweiser to which we were told she wasn’t sure if they sold Bud and she would find out. I ordered a Mojito. We were informed there was no Bacardi so I couldn’t have my drink, I chose a processco, the drinks took about 10 minutes to arrive, however when they did, there was a mojito as turns out you did have barcardiOur antipasta was served and before we’d finished and it could clearly be seen we weren’t, we were asked if we had finished. I replied no and waitress went off, we’d hardly finished our mouthfuls and again she was over asking if we’d finished. Plates were cleared and our mains turned up shortly after. Mains were sea bass and pulledPork with a side order of sautéed veg. We were disappointed by the meals but neither of us said to each other at the time as we were trying to make the most of the evening even though we were already disappointed by being left and then rushed to eat our antipasta. Our meals had clearly sat under heat lamps/ or a hot plate as we hadn’t finished quick enough with the antipasta as the skin on the sea bass had burn marks from Heat lamps, the mash was stodgy and the peas were burnt. My husband later told me the pork ball was all soggy as had been sat on the jus that was on the plate. Both meals were bland and lacked seasoning and certainly wasn’t up the standard we expected. When this was cleared away, we were asked if we wanted desserts, when we replied no, we were told ok I’ll bring the bill!!! When the bill came and the card machine was brought over, we were run asked if we wanted to tip!!!!! Surely that is not something you should be asking in such an abrupt manner???????????from arriving to leaving was roughly a hour, at no point was this a relaxing celebration meal, it was rushed, we were made to feel an inconvenience and had ruined our evening. my husband and I had both kept quiet at our disappointment as not to ruin the evening for each other, however I was upset when got outside and I nearly came back in to talk to the management. My husband told me to leave it but I’ve come home and decided I wanted to let you know how poor of an experience you delivered tonight as would hate other diners to have to have the same and also a thanks for running what was meant to be a celebration meal/evening"

"We visit Doddington as the shops always offer things seldom found elsewhere, expensive but exclusive and worth the visit. We just had a late lunch for 2 in the main restaurant. My wife had the Winter Salad, with grilled of roasted carrots, I forget which. Basically a bowl of mixed leaves with some cold sliced carrots barely charred and virtually raw. The promised marmalade dressing was virtually non-existent. My wife ate about 50% and left the rest. I had bubble squeak with gammon. The bubble squeak was a burnt block of mashed veg and potato, barely warm and truly rock solid. The gammon turned out to be ice cold sliced ham straight from the fridge. Both meals terrible and a big disappointment. The waitresses were polite and seemed obviously over-worked, no-one asked if we enjoyed our meals, even when removing the only half eaten plates. Over priced poor quality food that doesn't live up to the Menu's expectation. A shame really as we are local and have fond memories of eating here in the past."

"This is an exquisite dine in restaurant. They serve amazing and tasty Indian Pakistani Halal food. It was my first time ever to eat Indian or Pakistani food but it was extremely delicious. The restaurant design is amazing, the staff is friendly. What I did like most is that the owner of restaurant himself checks with guests how was the food, place, and also friendly and welcoming to the guests. Definitely I will visit the restaurant again to try more main courses."

"We walked to this village pub and decided to have food. The drinks were a fair price, and there appeared a decent menu. We had some chicken fillets to start, which were okay. However, the mains are very dreadful. The chips on both meals looked as though they had been fried ten times, simply burnt as was the fish which was simply inedible. The excuse for mushy peas was dry and bland. The gammon was overcooked, and both meals were saturated with salt but no condiments on the outside table. The lady serving was pleasant enough, and we gave feedback. She advised the locals don't go anymore I won't be going back either. Part of the excuse was that they didn't decide the food Punch Taverns agreed on the menu that was irrelevant as no matter how good the food was it was massively overcooked and laced with salt."

"I had a portion of samosas to start and had chilli sauce and mint yoghurt on them. The chilli sauce was so salty I could hardly eat it. I scraped off my samosas and managed to salvage them. The samosas were quite nice apart from the edges of the pastry that were almost too tough to chew. I had mixed seekh and chicken tikka kebab on naan. The seekh was very dry and over cooked. The chicken was nice though. I avoided the chilli sauce having had it on my samosas. The kebab was served on a plastic naan tray, with no plate, so as I ate it the sauces dripped straight through on to the table which was pretty inconvenient. Years ago this was my go-to kebab stop in Rusholme. I'll try somewhere else next time."

"As a vegan I really did not have a good meal. The menu shows Vg in the symbols but not one dish is Vg The chickpea channa was nothing more than a few tinned chickpeas with a horrid taste of tin and no flavour. Over priced rubbish. The mini samosa starter was stodgy and insipid The plain roti was good I went home hungry Vegans beware Vegetarian options: Vegan options are dire Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1"

"The food was excellent, but the service was lacking. We had to wait over 30 minutes for our food, only receiving it after we asked about it. As we were still enjoying our coffee, we were abruptly told that our table was needed and asked to leave, even though we had only been there for an hour and a half. The slow service was not our fault, yet we felt rushed out. The manager was not sympathetic at all. We will not be returning, as we left feeling unwelcome. The vegetarian options were good, particularly the nut roast."

"Stayed just the one night, parking round the back simple and great. Central location for all ofCleethorpes. Check in staff Kate was professional, didn’t really agree with the one night fee for my well behaved cocker spaniel of £25, that really hurt, I expected around £10 extra as most hotels charge where I have stayed. Room was ample with sky TV and even a cooling fan for the hot weather, had a quiet night. Nights receptionist Katie was great, going the extra mile with a smile. Breakfast was to order, cooked fresh, nice and hot, ok we were last in but chef was pleasant and accommodating to any requests. Lots of entertaining ornaments to look at for sale, a good idea to boost income and certainly a talking point. All in all, I would stay again, without my dog but with the charge, it becomes expensive. Pass my Thanks to the staff."

"I came to the Bengal Clipper having won a meal for four at a function we held there. On arrival the Waiter questioned our prize letter for the meals. He did not offer us drinks or a nibbles but questioned us about 20 times about the letter not having a stamp on it. This was not done in a quiet manner. I got so annoyed at being embarrassed in this way that I said I am going to eat in the Italian restaurant next door and duly did. After eating next door I came back to find my colleagues were still eating their starters. It was then that one of them pulled out a bit of plastic out of their mouth that was mixed in with the starter. The waiter apologised and offered another starter I ordered a drink and chatted for a while. Everyone was moaning about how long it was taking for the main courses to arrive. I then got up to go to the toilet and on the way there a mouse ran across my path. It was at this point I made my excuses and left. I will never be going back to the Bengal clipper."

"This was my second visit to PURE in a week. The food here really is outstanding. Full of clear and noticeable flavour and good variety. It is NOT a typical Indian restaurant with a menu longer than a Redwood tree in Yosemite but a thoughtful selection of curries including a Degustation menu for GBP52.00. I have had scallops twice now and my Chef partner and daughter and sister have shared multiple dishes as well. The staff are considerate and professional and VERY keen to please. Good wine selection again and of course suitable beer to accompany anything spicy. Comfortable seating arrangements and clean toilets. I LOVE this place. Small, high level, no nonsense, good simple food done really well. Cant wait to go back!"

"I would rate this place a 5 out of 5. I ordered the lamb vindaloo with garlic naan and was impressed by the freshly made naan bursting with flavor."
