"Stayed just the one night, parking round the back simple and great. Central location for all ofCleethorpes. Check in staff Kate was professional, didn’t really agree with the one night fee for my well behaved cocker spaniel of £25, that really hurt, I expected around £10 extra as most hotels charge where I have stayed. Room was ample with sky TV and even a cooling fan for the hot weather, had a quiet night. Nights receptionist Katie was great, going the extra mile with a smile. Breakfast was to order, cooked fresh, nice and hot, ok we were last in but chef was pleasant and accommodating to any requests. Lots of entertaining ornaments to look at for sale, a good idea to boost income and certainly a talking point. All in all, I would stay again, without my dog but with the charge, it becomes expensive. Pass my Thanks to the staff."

I stayed here on Friday with my husband and two children…. We were charged £150 for a room that quite frankly wasn’t worth £50…. Bathroom was filthy and in desperate need of repair… Such a shame as the staff were lovely and deserve to work in a better environment.

Spent 4 nights here with my dog and it was absolutely lovely. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was so nice, and they even brought my dog some sausage (free) which I thought was a lovely thing to do. It's very close to beach and other shops restaurants. Very good to get parked up too. I will definitely go back to this hotel View menu

After trying to find a place that was doggy friendly for a quick birthday drink and having no luck, we happened upon the Dovedale. Well, what an absolute diamond we found, Katy on reception made our visit so wonderful, she treated our pup Arnold like a VIP which made our visit extra special. Thank you to Katy, we can’t wait to return, especially Arnold

We only had a drink in this hotel and sat outside. However myself, my daughter and two granddaughters are coming to stay in August. The young lady on reception who also served us our drink was so lovely and welcoming. We had a look in the downstairs areas and they looked lovely, clean and well kept so am excited for our stay next month. Drinks were lovely as well

The room was spacious, nice enough. Disappointed there was no toiletries as I’ve always considered this standard , particularly for the price paid. Our room stank like a cannabis farm from the moment we got there . Couldn’t understand why until the second day , when someone was obviously smoking cannabis . Couldn’t sit on the patio or the balcony . In fact we had to keep our door window closed. This was reported to staff during our stay via e-mail on our return. We didn’t feel that the effect this had on our break away was taken at all seriously most certainly wouldn’t return .

"Attended a family wedding here recently. The restaurant, the location and the facilities were top notch, I think you would have to work hard to improve on what they have achieved here. However, the bar staff in the first floor function suite leave much to be desired ! Their attitude and reaction to the wedding guests during the wedding reception and evening event should definatly be improved ! It began with the sullen faces of the waiting staff during the reception , most should learn how to smile only one lady waitress blonde hair new starter was polite and smiled give her a job in staff training We asked for a bread roll during lunch, to be told, only for guests who have ordered soup ! Eventually after asking again they brought two over for the brides father... The evening event was a challenge when we struggled to understand why the part bottles of wine had disappeared from the table, when most of the guests were drinking spirits and beer etc. The penny , or should I say the C £17,000 dropped when the waitresses were removing full glasses of drinks from the table without checking! When challenged , the nonchalant response was to place the drinks back on the table and march off like petulant teenager! Our dismay was amplified the following day during a conversation with the restaurant manager told us , that 's what we do, If you need to keep your opened bottles of wine on the table you need to let us know , otherwise they will be removed! oh, so the wine is cleared along with the newly poured drinks too then? I don 't think we, or anyone else we know have ever been to a restaurant and even thought to tell the waiting staff not to take the half bottles of wine away before they have been emptied ? This usual practice was not discussed when we booked ! A cynic could suspect they re sell the newly recovered wine by the glass. This said, the manager did compensate with two bottles of the brides choice , so thanks for recognising the issue. But please consider NOT removing part bottles etc without checking in the first place."
