"Have been coming to Greenwood’s for 10 years and after a mixed experience in November 2018 , my daughter and I visited yesterday for lunch and use of the spa. This was a complimentary visit ,which was very much appreciated by both of us . The restaurant and reception staff gave us a warm welcome , lunch was wonderful and we felt that we were well looked after .My daughter is 8 months pregnant, so the spa day came at a great time and enabled her to relax around the swimming pool on one of the sun beds , enjoying the peace and tranquillity. We had no trouble finding a bed this time , which was a problem before and thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon.Thank you for looking after us , we will be returning for our annual visit in December for my daughter’s birthday I would like to also mention , Greenwood’s have exceeded my expectations in the way my feedback from November was taken on board and I have had personal ongoing contact with the Operations Manager arranging this visit , thank you again."

"Yesterday evening, with my man, without moment. we, where I sat right away, I was a little cool and asked to table after a few to another, as it was ready to eat. the waitress was more than happy to pick up my question and clean the table immediately for us, even they thought where pretty busy. we chose the festive menu, even thought I had sent my heart set from there moreish lamb. And I was not disappointed, we had the pate and sausage roll and the burger and a turkey keeper the main thing where amazing and we both fought to every mouthful in. we, where we cracker and party-poppers gave us, which we immediately showed up. these have really added us to our experience and get us in the festive, nice touch boys! we couldn't resist the crumb and cheesecake, I couldn't finish my cheesecake, because my mouth was in agonie with all the food I had eaten, it was so delicious, even though she wounded it, so I could take it home. we finished our night with glowing wine, which was a great note with a cute orange cut on the side. service was great as always and the man deserves credit, she recognizes us, although we did not have the opportunity to visit in 6 months, she is always friendly and the hands on the staff. Many thanks for a nice eating happy Christmas if we don't see them before, but I'm sure they will, as I need a second try in the festive menu."

"I decided to take my grandchildren out for lunch, one of whom is too grown up for the kids' menu and the other who isn't a fan of the usual options. This restaurant offered a wide selection on the main menu, ranging from full meals to snacks and scones. They even had a separate menu for vegetarians. The portions were generous but not overwhelming, and the scones were served with a variety of spreads and jams. Our food arrived promptly and accurately, even though the restaurant was busy. The staff were friendly and attentive, making our dining experience enjoyable."

"Very good first time experience. Very nice comfortable seating, EXCELLENT service, some of the crockery was a bit NAF the type of water jug and glasses you commonly find in an outdated, 3rd world village of Pakistan keeping in mind the cost of eating here. I ordered an egg royale which came with gluten free bed. Unfortunately the toast waswellwell done ? . Actually it was quite burnt and hard. To the extent that cutting it was quite a difficult task. Thus leading me to pick up the toast and try to eat it with my hands. My son ordered a burger which was tasteless. He eventually forced himself to eat it after putting on lots of sauce. The other two meals were enjoyed thoroughly. So on the whole not too bad but can easily be improved ! Vegetarian options: Yes they had good selection of vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: Catered for dietary needs very well and made sure everything was suitable Kid-friendliness: We’re nice and friendly with the kids"

"Oh my. I really think this was the best meal I have ever eaten. The tastes in each of the seven dishes was exquisite. Prawns and calamari cooked to perfection. It was the last day of our mini break so we pushed the boat out even though we were full to bursting and indulged in a perfect crème brûlée to top off the evening. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and ready to indulge in a little conversation after the meal. If you visit York, one of the top places to wine and dine must be this gem! Thank you for a memorable end to my and my daughters weekend together."

"The clientele mainly consists of local families, with plenty of kids enjoying the space. However, what truly stands out is the exceptional quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff, which contributes to a wonderfully cheerful environment. I ordered a delicious grilled salmon served on a bed of fresh mixed salads, which included quinoa, couscous with grilled vegetables, baked potatoes, and sautéed mushrooms. The portion was generous and absolutely tasty. The best part is that you can choose from a wide selection of salads showcased behind the cake counter. Speaking of cakes, the display is truly impressive. It's beautifully arranged, featuring giant colorful meringues, mini pavlovas topped with cream and strawberries, strawberry cheesecake, tiramisu, and much more. It’s inventive and creative, with so many options to pick from. The strawberry cheesecake was truly heavenly, delivering a perfect balance of fruity and creamy flavors in every bite. The mini pavlova was just right, with a perfect amount of meringue and a thick dollop of vanilla cream on top. It crumbled delightfully with each forkful—delicious! If you're heading west from Ballycastle towards the Giant's Causeway, don't miss this place!"

"Been here a good few times over the years and applaud the gradual shift in emphasis from drink to food such that the ambience is more restaurant than pub. The food is reliably tasty...TT ate the Special Salad as usual and the plate was a fine array of fish good size piece of poached salmon, some roll mop herring, and prawns in Marie Rose with the very good selection of Salad and fruits alongside. It is tasty. The Guinness is sadly the very cold kind as it is amost everywhere else to be fair . The problem with Torrance is that it has 3 pubs and a bowling club and there isn't the overall footfall to allow any of them to get really smart and a cut above the others ..its why I have marked a 4 blobs rather than a 5 as I feel the decor is getting a bit tired and eg the toilets could use modernisation. But it is still TT's choice in Torrance and deserves support. Pics are the already a bit eaten..ha ha.. Special Salad and the Scampi it was TT Junior's pick if I recall"

"It was our special day, so we thought it would be enjoyable to have a Turkish meal since we've visited Turkey multiple times and love Turkish cuisine. This was our first visit to this restaurant, and we were not disappointed—the food was excellent. My only critique is about the table we were seated at (at the top of the stairs on the right). The two tables were quite close together, making it feel a bit cramped. However, aside from that, everything was nice, and I would definitely visit again."

"“Fine a real pizza light, delicious and a wonderful place. BRILLIANT” we saw the middle week special offer of each pizza plus a garlic bread for £10 a tasty so that we had it on Thursday with our family at 6.15 warm reception, got a table, asked for a half garlic cheek and the half parma crusty for the child food. of course we had to wait a beer and a wein. they can see how the pizzas are prepared and observe how they are cooked in the log fired proper pizza of. beautifully served, nothing was too much annoying ben was very courteous and delightful. cath was attentive and served us with a smile. in any case the best pizza we had here, all made home with high quality ingredients. the seafood you should die with many king prawns, squid, etc. and super rocket topping. we will be back and recommend to our guests max will try the nutella one next time! check out their website for specials and their menu. open all year. Thank you."

"I stopped by for lunch and had a cold ham sandwich filled with delicious ham, accompanied by a salad and a side of croutons. I also tried the hot tuna melt panini, which was again served with a salad and croutons. Both dishes were hearty and delicious. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the restaurant is dog-friendly as well. We chose to sit outside in the beer garden since the weather was beautiful and sunny! I would definitely recommend a visit."

"So let us share our experience, We went in tonight as a family after seeing that it home made food on the drive to sennen and looked online and had a good look at the food available on the menu also looking to see if it was dog friendly and it ticked all the boxes, Upon arrival me and my wife went in 1st to ask if we could have a table for food and if dogs can go inside and staff were a little unsure but they confirmed we could upon asking for a table for 7 but one in a pram he said we don’t have the availability to cater I was looking at a table big enough and eventually said that this table was available whilst being seated we had 2 table one clean and the 2nd just been finished with so needed a clean but he came and cleaned both tables and he squirted the cleaner on a clean table and the over spray bounced off the table and went over our selfs then we were handed a menu freshly printed A4 paper thrown on the table (WET TABLE) so they stuck to the table upon agreeing what we wanted we went to the bar within 2-3 mins of being seated we knew what we wanted and when we asked for the meal it was OUT OF STOCK (Sunday lunch) ok fair so as I was with a family member at the bar I quickly rushed back to the table to ask my daughter of an alternative she wasn’t happy, So I made a meal up of all the extras on the menu so I went back to the bar to find my family member ordered 2 fish and chips then I realised my wife also wanted Sunday lunch so I quickly rushed back to ask her what she wanted and went back to the bar just as my family member left and asked for fish and chips was also sold out also! 99% of the menu was SOLD OUT this should of been discussed upon arrival not as we were ordering I run and operate my own business and this isn’t how I would treat my customers this isn’t how an establishment should be ran! Even when I was standing trying to order a member of staff was standing there arm against the wall doing nothing while customers are standing waiting to be served! So we decided not to eat and my family member went back to the bar to ask for a refund as we couldn’t eat as a family and the staff were iffy about offering a refund but 10 minutes later they did refund my family member as it became a scene for other people as they could see what had happened! This establishment should be call the 1st and late time you come here! We ended up walking to the chip shop down the road for food we are very disappointed in this company and establishment! For anyone who wants to eat please make sure they HAVE STOCK how can this establishment run without stock? Never again tonight they lost over £200 revenue due to this situation!"

"We called into the zest bar for a drink and a bite to eat after perusing the menu did not really fancy any thing so opted elsewhere with more CHOICE to our taste but before we left we could murder a pot of tea no problem when we orderd minutes later we were informed not pots of tea available only a cup made in the back when it arrived it was very weak so as they was no one around at the time my fiancee decide not to make a fuss as we were leaving i went to pay the chap behind the bar with a rather smug grin on his face said £3.20 well i said rather a poor attempt at making tea and to charge that you must be joking we will chalk this one experience sonny and call it a draw bar very quiet menu under par im afraid pardon the punn and well over priced Marriott's don't rate them at all"

"I decided to have lunch at this restaurant based on all the positive reviews I had seen. We called ahead to reserve a table, which turned out to be a smart choice since it tends to get quite busy. The bar is divided into a dining area and a bar area, so we weren't surrounded by people watching rugby, which made our section feel quiet and cozy. We both ordered the pie of the day, which was lamb and mint; it was really tender, flavorful, and came with a generous serving of chips! The prices were very reasonable and in line with what you would expect from a pub restaurant."

"I always like to try a new brunch venue, so I thought I’d try Sip and Tuck. Amazing location just opposite the entrance to Castle Park, which I think may be it’s saving grace. Friendly young serving staff. I ordered the chicken and waffles… it was described on the menu as chicken, waffles and breakfast potatoes. (A point to note if you are on a budget- the menu in the window is out of date and the ones on the table are current and more expensive! When the food arrives I was somewhat shocked by the portion size for the price I paid and I’m not a big eater! One the plate were shop bought sugar waffles (I buy these exact ones from the supermarket for my mom! two very small bits of tasteless chicken that could both of laid in the palm of my small hands, and a scattering of breakfast potatoes. There were so few I could literally count them! I know everything is so expensive now, but honestly It’s a potato so you could at least be a bit generous??? I called over the waitress to ask her if I could get some more breakfast potatoes as it was a bit ridiculous how few they were. She came back to advise :”the chef said they are more of a garnish” I politely replied that the menu didn’t state that and I was expecting a normal sized side portion . She advised the chef said I could hv more but I’d need to pay extra for them. No thanks. I paid nearly £12 for this! I was so disappointed I couldn’t even eat it. When I paid at the till, the chap asked if everything was alright… I politely told him the potato saga and how expensive I thought it was for the tiny portion. Also that the waffles are shop bought and not home made for the price. He apologised but offered nothing. I really wouldn’t recommend this place, but instead go to Tymperleys on Trinity Street, or Cafe 21 on Trinty Street or even Bills on the high street next to town hall."

"We visited this beautiful little gem at the weekend after a particularly long journey. We were about 20 mins prior to them closing, despite this they happily made us lunch and served us without rushing or making us feel guilty about them clearly having to remain behind longer to accommodate us. The food was beautifully tasty and they even gave water and biscuits for our dog. We have travelled ALOT and to be given this level of service and kindness is rare. We were very grateful and extremely impressed by the food and choice of vegetarian options. A beautiful eatery with wonderful staff. Highly recommend and will definitely return again soon! "This neighborhood restaurant has potential to be a top choice, but falls short in some areas. The service is excellent, with a friendly and accommodating team. The food is decent, but for a tex mex establishment, guacamole should be included as a standard option, not an extra £2 charge. The standout dish was the ribs, which were absolutely fabulous, although the portion size was a bit small for the price. The restaurant offers a good selection of cocktails, bottled beers, and red wines. However, the white wine options are lacking, with no New Zealand wines available and the Chilean sauvignon blanc being subpar. If there were better white wine choices, we would have gladly stayed longer and made this our go-to spot. It's a shame that this restaurant misses the mark in some key areas."

"Family of 4 looking for a lunch spot and as soon as we arrived we were made to feel welcome. Arriving before the pub opened they opened the doors a tad early and despite half our party cancelling they were very friendly. Jo was very helpful with toys, high chairs and food recommendations. The roast, beef and pork, were beautifully presented and every element spot on. The beef was perfectly medium rare as ordered and the veg sweet and delicious. Recommend the extra cauliflower cheese too. Kids fish and chips was great quality with real fish fillet not processed. I actually said “I think this is one of the most appealing and tasty roasts I’ve ever had in a pub’ Lovely staff and great food. Highly recommend."
