"I decided to take my grandchildren out for lunch, one of whom is too grown up for the kids' menu and the other who isn't a fan of the usual options. This restaurant offered a wide selection on the main menu, ranging from full meals to snacks and scones. They even had a separate menu for vegetarians. The portions were generous but not overwhelming, and the scones were served with a variety of spreads and jams. Our food arrived promptly and accurately, even though the restaurant was busy. The staff were friendly and attentive, making our dining experience enjoyable."

The young blonde girl looks like she’d rather be anywhere but serving customers. Very sour !! It changes the whole experience

Once a month will do for this establishment who have rude teenage staff who require staff training on how to handle customers.

Now here's a wee gem. All day breakfast and a good choice menu with friendly professional staff, who could ask for more ? The Cafe Brazilia has lots going for it, and the nice atmosphere is noticeable. Recommended

We eat her often. Scones and coffee excellent. Staff pleasant and friendly. Strange serving system. One member of staff takes your order but doesn't bring it to your table. A different staff member does this. Sometimes parts of your order are missed as a result. View menu

I haven't visited this restaurant in a while, but while I was in Bangor, I decided to have a nice lunch sitting in the autumn sunshine. The menu offers a wide selection that will appeal to just about every palate. The service was as friendly and helpful as I remember.

Last Saturday was a perfect sunny Spring day for a seaside walk from Cultra to Holywood, County Down, and by the time we arrived in town we were ready to have a rest and lunch. We went to the first cafe on entering town and were very glad that it was Cafe Brazilia. The service, food, and decor were all very good. We shared a bowl of delicious Tomato and Basil soup followed by a Salmon and cream cheese bagel. We finished our lunch with a cup of excellent coffee made from wood-roasted beans and left rested and refreshed for our train journey home..

"Tl;dr this chef and this team are on their way to a Michelin star, so get a reservation while you can. We visited here Saturday 29, where we enjoyed the tasting menu by current chef John Hollywood. Their tasting menu is averagely priced, comparable to Dublin’s Bastible, with 6 courses actual, and plenty of wine. Aside from the setup, nothing else is average. The staff at Boat House are second to none. The atmosphere is similar to Hof van Cleve, with chirpy, witty staff happily serving customers and following the mood of the table. Their sommelier and wine pairing is particularly special, with each bottle subverting the trend, unexpected, but without compromising on quality (see: Bastible cannot figure out wine). Their sommelier is a wine nerd who’s happy to go into as much depth as you want, but you feed off the passion between courses, which is a really great dynamic between the staff and the table this is rare, usually only achieved at top star restaurants. I’ve never found this in the island of Ireland. The food itself is the perfect mix of foraged from land and sea, each dish testing and surprising you, but with some classics mixed in (beef Barolo your reward for trusting the chef). On the whole, the menu seems designed to subvert comfort you in equal measure, and succeeds with every course. You won’t find the same level of experimentation from many of the Italian tasting menus on the circuit, but that comes with the assurances of consistent quality and a journey that’ll never let you down, where subversive wine pairings inject a level of exciting chaos without risking the food. Between the atmosphere, staff, and chemistry at the table in the kitchen, a trip to Boat House can be held in the same regard as some of the world’s top Michelin star restaurants. They’re on the way. They have the ingredients, whether you know it or not. Better start those birthday reservations now."
