The food was delicious, huge choice of teas, staff were amazing very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. 2 of our party didn’t like the sandwich selection but this wasn’t a problem and they were given alternatives. "With no water in our village due to an accident and damaged pipeline, cooking at home wasn't so appealing so we headed off to our favourite bar and restaurant, the Corner House. The place was busy and technically full as many people had the same idea, but the staff rallied round to make room for us and despite them being run off their feet, the food and service was still absolutely fantastic. Congratulations to Luke and the rest of the staff, you really pulled it out of the bag... and this is exactly why we go back there time and time again. We couldn't recommend it more, 5 stars every time."

"This was our first visit since the ferry changed hands. The biggest change for us was the food. The food is different but still good! We went on a Saturday, so can't comment on the Sunday roast but we tried a fair sample of the plates. For starters, we had a soup and a pate. Both went down very well. The soup was a vegetable soup, thick and dull of veggie chunks. The pate was a generous wedge. For mains, we had a steak and kidney pie, fish and chips, half roast chicken, and a fish goujon sandwich. The pie was well filled and a suet pastry for a change. Fish and chips, a fair portion and light looking batter. The half roast chicken was a fairly large bird and the fish goujon sandwich was well filled and tasty. Dessert was a sticky toffee pudding- nice and light, and a fruit crumble with custard, slightly tart but a nice balance against the custard. Service was fast and the team were friendly. We will be back to try the Sunday roasts soon! Price per person: £40–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Booked for a preshow dinner. As we had an allergy we were told to order on the app. Which was fine I'm computer savy so was easy for me but can imagine been harder for others. The drinks were delicious and quick to arrive but the food was not. The starters came out staggered, and the little souls breads were over cooked. The starters plates were not cleared and the mains started to arrive again staggered which was not good. I'm under the tradition that you wait till everyone has food till you start but the gap between 1st dish arriving and last was over 10minutes. Our allergy dish had pesto on which on the starter they had missed off so the member of our party with the allergy had to wait for the manager to check the allergy book to reasure us it was nut free. Our meal was taking up with us talking about the service rather than enjoying our meal and having other conversations."

"I have really enjoyed visits to Wagamama over the years because of their friendly staff, quick service and decent food, but this experience at the Stratford branch has completely put me off ever returning. It was the most disappointing and frustrating experience I have had by far. No one came to take our order we had to get the attention of one of the waiters to do so, which proved difficult despite the Stratford branch having a very large number of staff (none of whom seem to want to do their job). It was another long wait before 1 dish arrived (almost half an hour). Then, it was another long wait with no drink or food coming out. We had to flag down one of the waiters to ask what was going on and if they could check on our order. Eventually, the drinks came and the remainder of the dishes, but when they arrived, they had got the order wrong and given us an extra starter. When we told them the order was wrong, the waitress said we could have it on the house. The food arrived lukewarm. Wagamama staff always talk about how all food is cooked fresh to order and each dish is brought out as soon as it’s ready, but it seemed like these dishes had been sitting on the side for a while. The standard of food at this Wagamama is worse than a lot of other branches I’ve been to, so I would avoid this one at all costs. When it came to paying the bill, we tried doing it using the QR code system, but the bill was wrong as they had charged us for the extra starter (which was supposed to be on the house). We had to ask a waiter to amend the bill. He went to the computer to make the change and said it had been amended. However when we checked again, there was no change. As we could not get the attention of another waiter, we had to go up to them at the till point to explain the situation again. The staff didn’t seem to be interested in serving their customers it was almost as if customers were a nuisance to them. There was also only 1 girl at the bar making up the drinks orders and doing so very slowly. On top of all of this, this branch seems to do a lot of business through online food delivery apps there was a constant stream of delivery drivers walking through the restaurant and standing around and hanging out next to the kitchen, scrolling on their phones which really spoils the ambience. The size of the kitchen and the number of chefs is too small to have all these takeaway orders being made as well as serving a full restaurant. The quality of the food and the service suffers terribly. I hope Wagamama management take note of this and work on a solution."

"Family went for a birthday celebration on Friday evening. Bar staff made mistakes with drinks order and gave malibu and coke not lemonade. There ware 9 addults and 2 babies. The food orders wer supposed to all come together at the same time but my sister her partner and son all had a long wait for their meals. When we asked how come there was such a long wait they offered my sister a free glass of wine by way of an apology but it would have been better if the food had all come at the same time. We ordered 3 Lasagne, 2 beef and 1 chicken and bacon from the specials board the servers brought us 4 and didn't know which ones they were. The steaks ordered were supposed to come with pepper sauce but tasted strongly of curry. this is the 2nd time family members have vistied where meals have not been what was ordered so maybe the staff need better training and more diligence with bringing correct dishes to the right customers. The venue is lovely and I even had a laugh with the bar man when one of the bar staff didn't appear to understand him telling her he was going to change the coke syrup and to pour a diet coke for me so I was quite disappointed in our experience. That said, when i got my correct chicken and bacon lasagne it was very tasty. Sadly we won't return again."

"I booked to have a quick steak but the experience was not up to scratch. The Waldorf in NY is excellent. This is not. The front desk was a mess probably because there was conference going on in one of the large rooms, so the bar and restaurant were busy with people looking for conf hall, or just milling about. The signs were slightly misleading to restaurant so we ended walking around the whole ground. There was a misunderstanding at restaurant with the reservation, we ended up having dinner at Steak at stylish STK across the road and cocktails at Savoy (Beaufort Bar)which are next door. In London's central location with some much choice they need to better."

"Came here for breakfast. It was awful. Could not even cut the veggie sausage. It was like a very, very poor Travelodge breakfast. Also ordered toast as an 'extra ' which came after we had finished (what we could eat) because apparently other people had to get their 's first, which is ironic as the only other people inside nearly left due to the time it was taking to get anything. The person serving also seemed totally confused the whole time. "Poor chefs, simple menu. Should have stay home and made it myself! Go elsewhere for a nicer brunch! I used to really like this place but this morning when I came in (Sunday morning) they said they no longer do french toast on the weekends. I asked them why and they said they don't have the mixture ready on the weekends. Weird, since that would be their busiest times? "Have been a few times with mixed results so decided to give it another go, as we are local. Wish we hadn't bothered. No atmosphere, two members of staff standing behind bar chatting, got drink on my top from the dirty bar, table top was sticky to touch. Ordered second drink as had to wait for 50min for food to come. Ordered Heritage Burger Chicken skewer... what came was greasy chips, you could taste the old oil off them. Rocket salad was dried up with a few tiny bits of tomato. Chicken was about 5/6 tiny bits of burnt chicken, and the burger looked more like a hamburger than a fresh handmade beef burger, in a co-op style bun, with horrible flash in the pan bacon. When partner complained the young waiter took it away then came back 5min later and asked if he wanted it re-cooked or something els from the menu!!! After 50min for this declined, he never offered a refund. We then sat there for another 5min and when I wasn't given any cutlery with my meal, decided it wasn't worth waiting for. Shocking to see such poor service and food in our local area, Management really need to take a good look at their chef."

"Bit of a step down from my previous visit unfortunately. Service was slow despite us being one of only two tables the whole time we were there. Pizzas were not as good as the last visit, with the bases being very thin and lacking in crust, we also both had large amounts of burnt flour on the underside which left a bit of an aftertaste. My son's burger was great though, and he was very happy with it. There seemed to be a lot of takeaway orders leaving the kitchen, which I think was partly why service was slower than before. I'd avoid sitting by the windows if you can, the delivery drivers park there and their headlights make it feel like you're under a spotlight :"

"I’ve come to this place since I was little and after not having been for a few years I was absolutely delighted to find so many vegan options for my visit this time! There are vegan starters, mains and deserts and other adaptable items in addition to these options. I enjoyed the “award winning vegan pie” on our first night followed by the “vegan sticky toffee pudding”, and when we came back the next day (couldn’t resist) I enjoyed the moving mountains plant based burger. Wonderful food in a magical country pub, the evening ambience on a summers evening is not to be missed. Eating outside is a must!! Parking is easy and plentiful nearby either directly opposite in spaces or in nearby streets (all free). Booking advised and easy via website or give them a call on day of."

"We were staying in Chichester and decided to drop in here after my wife saw it mentioned in The Peoples Friend magazine. Dropped in for a coffee and decided to stay for lunch. My wife uses a wheelchair and was pleasantly surprised that there was a lift to the first floor. Sat outside with lovely views of the marina. Staff were friendly but professional.
