"I booked this restaurant from the trip advisor feedback. When we arrived the restaurant was almost empty. As it is set in a brewery it needed to be buzzing for an atmosphere. Sadly a lot of the dishes were not on....all the mussels in buckets which made up a big percentage of the menu. We all ended up having pizzas, made to order and delicious. The service was brilliant. Very attentive and cheery waiters."

"Very pleasant Italian food.Quite small so very noisy when full plus very loud music. Why oh why do Italian restaurants never give you enough Parmesan and have condiments on the table. There was too much tomato sauce on the bolognese and a shame they could not make an affagato,as it is only a scoop of icecream with a shot of espresso added.Indeed all the deserts were not homemade. The pizzas were excellent. The waiter is charming and attentive."

"I spent some time looking for a place to celebrate a birthday dinner, and despite some negative reviews, I decided to give this restaurant a chance. I ordered the PLATTER OF HALLOUMI for a starter, which was the highlight of the meal. My friends had the REFINED PROVENÇALE BOUILLABAISSE, which was a decent portion, although they mentioned it could have been hotter. For the main course, I ordered the FIVE CUTS OF SPRING LAMB rare, but it was served cold. The service was slow due to a limited number of waiting staff. The dishes were well presented, but could have been hotter if stored in a hot cupboard. Unfortunately, we had to skip dessert as service was slow and we needed to catch our train home. The ambiance was pleasant, but the lack of staff affected the overall dining experience. If you choose to dine here, opt for a quieter night and ensure your meal is served hot when ordering."

"pizza is fantastic! after almost 20 pizzerias in london I finally found (a local with decent teig. decent is a compliment of what I saw and cost in london (I am a cook, with more than decent pizzaiollo experience. although the venue has massive oversized menus (which is always a bad sign, which in the rule costs 1 star of my review, I will still be a 5 star review for the best quattro formaggi pizza in the last year. Go on. soon I will try the rest of the menu."

"This restaurant is now called Dolce Italia. We had a table for 5 and were really impressed with both the food and service we received. The fish soup had a tasty bisque quality with fresh sea bass and fresh warm bread. The mushroom crostini looked good and tasted better. Caprese salad was fresh looking and yummy. Mains were also excellent. Belly of pork melted in the mouth, chicken milanese was moist with generous spaghetti in tomato sauce, with fresh tomatoes running through it. seafood linguine had lots of sea food, all perfectly cooked. Desserts were also good. I had the panna cotta, lovely wobble and beautiful taste. Also great value for money, with wine sensibly priced and affordable. Would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be returning."

"We visited for a family Christmas meal on Friday 21/12/18. Although we did have gorgeous food, we were welcomed by a very rude manager. I was unable to catch her name, but as we arrived she wanted to sit us by the door in a table that wasn’t laid up therefore we politely asked if we could sit on another table there were several laid up) but she appeared angry by this and said that all the others ‘were for bookings’ in a very rude manner, then she stomped off in a mood. I had booked our table a while ago. It was a shame as all other staff were lovely but she gave us an awful welcome ."

"At the upstairs restaurant was completely empty except for us. No one else arrived until we were finishing our meal, and that, too, was just one table. I ordered the artichoke appetizer, which turned out to actually just be poorlymarinated artichoke and iceberg lettuce, and the halibut, which was acceptable, and some reasonably edible grilled vegetables. My husband ordered a pasta dish, and observed that it was similar to army dinners, and commented that he’d’ve been better off with a box of spaghetti and jar of sauce from the grocery store. Also, the appetizer was brought out at the same time as the main courses, crowding the small table, which was already crowded with assorted superfluous drinking glasses. The wrong wine was brought... like, very wrong. Merlot instead of a white Burgundy. I’m not sure that our server could have handled more than one table at a time, but that’s ok because, apparently, that’s all they book. The space itself is pretty. Everyone is polite. We won’t be back"

"We have visited this restaurant before and found it to be a pleasurable experience. We have always been impressed with the separate vegetarian/vegan options. However, on this most recent visit, it seemed as though we had stumbled upon a different place. On arrival I informed staff that we had booked a table. We were told to go and pick a table, so there was no specific one reserved. The menu did have a vegetarian/menu but not as extensive or as interesting as before. My starter of hummus was not the smooth silky delight I had been expecting but was more like chunky mashed chick peas . Two of the main courses sweet potato burger and a lion burger were OK, but nothing special. My main of marinaded portobello mushrooms was so overpoweringly flavoured with ginger that I only managed to eat a third of it. The predominant flavour of the seafood risotto was cheese. The clearing of the table was quite sloppy, napkins, cutlery and food were not cleared away before the dessert course. My ice cream again was nothing special and was unnecessarily decorated with what I thought were inedible silver balls. I didn't want to risk a dental accident by trying them. The most disappointing aspect of the evening was the fact that it was a special occasion. I had spoken to a young man on the phone to arrange a different start time and had told him that we would be celebrating our wedding anniversary and my husband's 70th birthday. In the event, no mention was made of it at all. I was not expecting any complimentary items but a mention of the occasion would not have gone amiss. I cannot understand the dramatic change in the service and standard since our last visit. A very underwhelming experience which we shall not be in a hurry to repeat. Such a shame."

"We ate from the special lunch menu, the starters mushrooms was very nice, the mains ham, egg and chips just a small pointer but I wish the hot egg wasn’t served on cold ham, it turned the meat a bit grey and slimy, also the ham wasn’t the finest quality, I bought far better from the cold meat counter in Tescos the next day! The pudding Creme brûlée was delicious. We asked for tap water which came looking very cloudy, pity the tap wasn’t left running for longer! Overall though, a very cosy, nicely decorated pub and a friendly welcome"

"inspiration from some of the most important historical personalities londons and local history; hyatt regency london – the churchill is a hotel with strata. the montagu, the more casual restaurant of the hotel, was originally built as a home of london socialite elizabeth montagu and her husband edward, the enkel des earl of sandwich. elizabeth montagu was the “Queen of the blue Stockings” and hosted great literary evenings for the leading politicians, artists and writers of the day as well as nurturing emerging intellectuals. Today the room is a beautiful modern restaurant with views of the portman square, a busy open kitchen and a fantastic menu with fresh products."

"I’ve never given 5* for a review before. I had high expectations after watching Dion two years in a row at the Newport food festival and having tasters of food he prepared in front of us as an audience. This year they gave out a voucher, so an excuse to visit! I went for date night with my partner, a fairly local pub for us. As we approached the bar we were greeted and seen to, drinks in hand we made our way to comfy sofas to wait. Its didnt seem like waiting, we were able to enjoy our drinks in a relaxed, warm atmosphere with the buzz of other peoples concersation in the background. Given a menu to ponder, our orders were taken whilst still in the sofa. A few moments later we were seen to our rable, coats taken for us and met with our starter. Plentiful bread and olives platter to start with oils and butter. Shortly after our mains arrived, blade of beef with the poshest but tastiest mash ever with a gravy to leave you wanting more. And a steak with proper chips and tasty side sauce. The portions were generous and we we did not feel rushed, nor asked about our food whilst with a mouth full (which always seems to happen). Ambience thoughout was lovely and the decor refreshing. Final check the toilets, modern, clean and freshen up toiletries for the women which was a lovely touch. We left wanting to return, possibly sooner rather than later to try out the desserts and other tempting dishes. Thank you to the staff, two men and a women that served us you’re a credit the team and kitchen staff it goes with out saying you’re in the right job! I would recommend this place for food to anyone!"

"Like Amber who just posted, we thought we'd found a gem too! Very impressed; the food was beautifully cooked and presented, nice choice, good service. The restaurant is clean, bright and inviting with a good atmosphere. We'll definitely recommend and we'll definitely return. Next time it'll be with the family, including 3 grandkids it'll be interesting to see how child friendly it is! Well done, Herons."

"We have visited this restaurant three times and each time the food has been fantastic. The only issue we encountered during our last visit was with the seating. We chose to sit by the window, but unfortunately it was very cold and we had to keep our coats on."

"We have just returned from lunch at the Woodside. We have been here a few times over the years on and off but we haven't been recently and I can't praise the place enough. The staff were attentive and friendly. We were sat on a nice table by some patio doors and didn't feel crammed in like some places. Myself and my husband had a sharing platter to start which was really good. I then had the Korean chicken skewers with triple cooked chips and the most delicious slaw/salsa I've ever had. Usually when you get chicken skewers you get pieces of chicken breast but this skewer had three delicious whole chicken thighs. The chips were hot and tasty. My husband had the steak and Merlot pie which was a proper pie (not a stew with a lid on). He really enjoyed his meal also. It wasn't cheap but I really don't mind paying if the food is good, and it was. Will be returning."

"my partner and I stayed here in the week to use a voucher that I had on another place for the afternoon tee; but stay in this hotel ended the main feature of the visit. we were in the octagonal room that has a big wow factor that were amazing, but so was the room together with it's luxury features. the staff was very friendly and helpful, we had to drop our bags long before check-in and leave them for a series of hours after check-out, but that was certainly not a problem for the staff. we decided to have the breakfast after we have seen the reviews online and it was certainly not disappointing, the waitress offered hot drinks regularly and the buffet was constantly refreshed, so I would recommend this as part of their stay. overall this was an excellent hotel, great location with wonderful staff and in mind that it was amazing value for money. If they don't stay here, they'll lose!"

"First time with the Italian cuisine so we had no idea with the menu. Lovely and kind stuff! Stuff explained menu well. I asked for halal options and only chicken and seafood are their halal options. I asked for recommendation and she guided us well. Even explained what is red sauce, white sauce… Even basics~ She was kind and helpful. She suggested her favourite starters as marinated olives, focaccia olive oil, bread. Delicious! I can even go there just for their olives! Our glasses were never emptied because she always poured our water gently~ This was lovely. I had chicken milanese and my sis had linguine vongole. Chicken was delicious but I REALLY had hard time with cutting. Wasn’t juicy enough and hard to cut. Not sure if those knives were enough to cut it but my arm got tired of trying to cut, seriously Pasta was 10/10 no doubts. I had %50 discount coupon from TheFork Festival but they forgot to apply it even though I reminded them very beginning of the night. But they fixed so quickly so no problem at all~ But it is important to being careful and attentive. Definitely visit one more time for their pastas! Restaurant aesthetics so authentic and full of italian culture"

"we went to Sunday afternoon and had a table booked. I had fish and chips and my man and my daughter had burger. the food was served piping hot and was delicious. my fish was perfectly boiled and served with chips, mushy heaps and tartar sauce. the burgers looked good. my daughter changed her fries to sweet potato fries for a 50p extra fee, but she said they were delicious. my man ordered a shandy, but was served as a pint of abbotts. to the luck he noticed and it was changed quickly. unfortunately we were too full of desserts. we have eaten here often and I'm sure we're coming back. it is a beautiful place for all age groups. everyone is very helpful and the service is good."
