"Old hostelry beautifully restored and well appointed. Wonderful views and good private parking. Food excellent, served quickly and hot! Great waitress, chatty, witty and well informed about the menu. Lots of patience with my elderly mother-in-law, didn't get her name, shame. Taken off a star for a couple of reasons. If you're visiting with an elderly person or someone who has limited mobility, let them know when you book. It can be a wee walk to the toilet. Also the only toilet on the ground floor is the disabled one, the others are on the first floor. Looked to me as though it got a lot of use, it was untidy, smelled unpleasant and the hand drier didn't work. I did mention it to the bar staff so hopefully something was done, in the short term at least. Would l go back or recommend it? Absolutely, now that l know what to expect."

First of all, what I love about the Hawes is the coziness, and warmth, and it's the perfect location on a cold winter day if you want a hot chocolate and

Lovely atmosphere with delicious food at a great price. The service was quick and efficient, but lacking in warmth. The staff could work on making customers feel more welcome. View menu

Fantastic meal at Hawes Inn. Food was well presented and really delicious. The waiting staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall, a very pleasant meal in an amazing historical building with truly stunning views.

it was amazing and would definitely recommend the Sunday roast, it was divine. the food is moderate and the drink selection is extensive. service was a bit slow, but it was a packed restaurant and the place is very big, but definitiw the wait worth. there is also a parking space around the back for anyone who wanted to drive would definitely return.

the hawes inn was very nice, we arrived early as the boat trip to the inchcombe island was a little shorter than we expected. but the personal was very accommodating and still sat down. the food was excellent and the service was first advised. the server was surprised to get a tipp that I thought was sad. all in all an excellent choice for a bit lunch or dinner, we plan again soon. only a really nice place in a stunning location with views of the front railway bridge. it has a lot of parking, a good menu for eating and drinking and the service is really friendly. the outdoor area and the garden area is quite amazing as it is surrounded by trees, but sits under the railway bridge. at the time of the walk, the Covid agreements were really impressive, but did not even disturb the entire culinary experience. very child-friendly and if that is important to them.
