"GIVE IT A GO!!! Chupitos is such a lovely welcoming restaurant me and my family have been frequent visitors for quite a few years. We have previously been for Sunday dinners, birthdays, mothers day, fathers day, new years eve, and the odd Friday and Saturday night. The food is amazing and always plenty of options all freshly cooked and well portioned. The cocktails are also just as good as any London cocktail bar. Yes sometimes when it is busy or we have come with a very large table we have had to wait a bit but you would get that in most reasonable priced restaurants as they limit their staff to keep costs down. Also their food is cooked fresh and it is soo tasty it is worth the wait. While you browse the menu order a basket of bread with their in house aioli it is amazing. You have to try the cheese and chorizo or the scallops to start followed by the fillet steak with Padron peppers or a roast beef dinner with their glazed veg and roast pots is soo good. If you have room for dessert then all the options are delicious so maybe share and try them all! I have not given a review before as this is not something I generally do, but on our visit this weekend when we inquired how business was doing Katie expressed concern about how a bad review with false allegations could effect her business and she was upset at being called a racist I felt bad for not giving a them a review before so thought I would make sure to do it this time. "This unique hotel has a pub attached to it. The rooms are fantastic, with a country house vibe, featuring large four poster beds and full, ornate furniture. The whiskey bar on the ground floor was incredible, and the bar manager was very knowledgeable about whiskey. While the food (for both dinner and breakfast) was good, the service was a bit lacking; there were no teaspoons or sugar on the table, they served chips instead of fries, and some steaks were delivered to the wrong people, making it seem a bit disorganised. However, the hotel is in a great location for a whisky tour or a walking tour. The pub downstairs was also lovely, with a mix of locals and guests."

"Tomahawk was incredible! Undoubtedly the best steak I have ever eaten! Seating is strange ambience was definitely lacking. We ordered a side it was clearly forgotten about, we reminded staff twice we were still waiting on it, decided to start eating what we already received as we didn’t want it to go cold it arrived when we were 3/4 finished. Disappointing in that respect, as it was not busy at this time."

"the food generally was very good and tastey although a very limited menu, especially the main courses for vegetarians... only 1 option....... so we settled for 2 starters each and a dessert which was yummie.... the chocolate brownie.... The service was extreamly slow even though we were the only table in at one point and although the staff were very polite and pleasant they lacked va va voom and the ability to make you feel special. The price structure seemed a bit pricey but would have been acceptable if the ambiance and service had matched the food Overall an OK evening but nothing to encourage a return visit any time soon"

"The food was generally very good and flavorful, but the menu was quite limited, particularly for vegetarian options, with only one choice available. We started with two appetizers and shared a dessert, which was delicious—a chocolate brew. The service, however, was quite slow, even though we were the only table at the time. While the staff was polite and friendly, they lacked a certain energy that would make us feel special. The pricing seemed a bit high, but it might have been acceptable if the atmosphere and service had matched the quality of the food. Overall, it was an okay evening, but not enough to entice us to return anytime soon."

"my partner and I only spend a magical weekend in edinburgh, but unfortunately whigham’s was certainly not the highlight. Although it seems very promising, with beautiful decoration, a good atmosphere and welcoming and efficient employees, it really lets us eat down. I ordered the cullen skink, which was warming but not aromatized. the starter of my partner was the best we ordered. our main dishes of fishcake and chili huh were missing taste again. my fish cake tasted almost inconspicuously from my suppenstarter and the chili huhn was extremely mild. we ordered a pinotgrigio, which was expensive for a low quality bottle, and we did not hang around after eating. it is a...read more"

"I couldn't get any courtesy from the waiter, the menu flew to my table instead of gently overdoing it. no smiling from the waiter, but the reception staff are good. not ready to pay for the service fee. had a bad new year's eve dinner at the place."

"This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I ordered a medium-rare steak, but it arrived almost completely raw. When I brought this to the manager's attention, he insisted that I was mistaken and that this was how medium-rare was typically served. He eventually agreed to provide me with a new medium-rare steak, but it turned out to be even more raw than the first one. It was practically bleeding, which is definitely not what you would expect from a properly cooked medium-rare steak. To top it off, the manager was quite rude. I noticed that he was wearing his mask improperly, hanging below his mouth, and none of the staff seemed to be washing their hands. Additionally, the table was sticky. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience."

"We had a lovely evening at the White Hart with friends. There was quite a bit of noise from the bar but that was unusual when we have dined here before it has not been noisy. Parking is a bit tricky so you may want to leave a bit of time to find a parking spot on busy evenings like Friday and Saturday. I don't know what it is like during the day."

"Marion I had a wonderful valentine’s meal on our first visit to The Yellow Broom at Twemlow Green. Just loved the continental decor team who were friendly professional. The menu was tasteful inviting. We felt the restaurant had been lovingly created in a way felt like someone’s proudly presented home, albeit on a large scale. We felt comfortable that was a big plus for anyone thinking the Yellow Broom is a bit ‘high brow’. The food was really great lovingly presented. I started with haggis Bon Bons Marion the pate with sourdough. We both had ribeye peppercorn sauce as a main the sauce was to die for. All of it was wonderful so tasty. The wine we chose was a King Rabbit Chardonnay that too was excellent. A 5 star almost but my ribeye was just a little too poor a cut for the price, whereas Marion’s was super duper, just the luck of the draw I suppose. We shall definitely be back for more spoiling."

"The beef tartare appetizer was overwhelmed with garlic, making it difficult to taste the quality of the meat. The accompanying bread slices were cold and untoasted, lacking any textural contrast. The steak was excessively smoky, almost to the point of tasting burnt. Dessert was disappointingly cold and unremarkable. The cocktails were satisfactory. Despite these shortcomings, the table service and view were exceptional. Special thanks to Khaleed for his outstanding service. I hope you are feeling better now."

"first we came in and it was really ugly. there were quiet music and the furniture was really nice. next we ordered, but our waitress was a bit grumpy. but our food came in 14 minutes. it is like almost food restaurant. the Canadian breakfast was really good and the pancakes were huge and delicious. it is a really good restaurant and some of the waiters are really polite. this is a definite 4-star restaurant I just turned 12"

"My partner and I are regular visitors to the wonderful pub!! We have never felt the need to leave a review, though after our lunchtime visit today, we both wanted to put down on record what a gem this is in the Oxfordshire countryside. Staff are always engaging, the chef is so very personal, always coming to your table to discuss menu choices. Today, we both started with the cheese and haddock soufflé, which were spectacular, followed by a beautifully cooked duck breast and ribeye steak, both were wonderful. This pub cannot be recommended high enough, when looking for an eatery I would say look no further than the Fox at Boars Hill!!"

"Noisy and poor quality food. The restaurant obviously hasn’t been looked after since it first opened, dirty tables and chairs and really dusty. The place is just horrifically noisy, it’s gone from a quite high class steak restaurant to what is akin to a Toby Carvery for new-money chavs. Kids screaming and running about whilst the parents don’t give a toss. Gutted it’s gone downhill so much really as it used to be really nice."

"I had a wonderful afternoon at this restaurant, which catered exceptionally well to my vegetarian dietary needs. Instead of the typical boring sandwiches, they offered a variety of delicious options. The venue itself is absolutely stunning—a true hidden gem! The decor features amazing artwork from around the world. The service was excellent, and our waiter was very attentive. I will definitely return in the future!"

"The service is excellent, but the food was a bit hit and miss. We had a really lovely camembert starter and then my partner had the pie which he said was OK but kind of stodgy, I had caesar salad which was quite a dry peice of over cooked chicken in a bit of a messy salad. I didn't eat it all because it wasn't very nice. The wine was lovely and the waitress was fantastic. It was a bit like the food you'd expect to get at a Weatherspoon pub, so kind of expensive for budget food and not great cooking. I'd definitely go for a drink there again, because the service is great and the interior of the pub is really lovely but I would look to eat somewhere else in the village. There's a place up the road from there that does amazing Thai food and the curry house is also really good."

"I ordered delivery from this restaurant at midday today. The food did not arrive until 2.40pm. The chicken in the chicken burgers was not sufficient to fill the buns. They made a mistake with the toastie filling, so I called them and they said they would send a replacement. At 3.20pm, the manager called my house and initially said the replacement was on its way. However, he then became aggressive towards my partner, raising his voice and interrupting him. He blamed everything but his own business for the delay and errors, even blaming us despite living within the delivery area and paying £3 for delivery. It is now 4.55pm and the replacement toastie still has not arrived. I paid for something I never received and received abusive behavior from the owner. I will not be returning to this place as the customer service is terrible. I am now uncomfortable knowing that this angry man has my phone number and address."

"I took my mum and mother in law for high tea and we were delighted the moment we stepped in, amazing decor and absolutely stunning dining hall! Never seen anything like that before! We booked via phone and we were asked for card details first I was bit reluctant but they explained due to everything made fresh for diners we want to make sure nothing goes to waste as they do not take walk-ins, they also assured card won't be charged until dining and there is no cancellation fee if cancelled in advance, which made sense! We like afternoon tea/high tea but I can assure I have never had such an amazing tea before! Everything was so fresh, from scones to sandwiches and pastries! They also gave us surprises with hot and cold canapés which were freshly baked! Which made sense for calling it high tea! As there was so much to eat, freshly baked hot bread with butter was scrumptious! We will be back it was the best high tea we ever had!"

"The four young waiters provided extremely unsatisfactory customer service. Despite the restaurant not being busy, with only three tables occupied, the waiters continuously returned to the desk to lean on it and chat amongst themselves. It was difficult to grab their attention as they avoided making eye contact, making it impossible to request anything. Despite asking for water glasses three times and requesting the bill twice, the waiters were unresponsive. One even rudely replied, "I've already given you the bill," when we inquired about paying. The food and atmosphere were fantastic, but the service was sorely lacking."

"I went for a business lunch, and although I wouldn't say it was a bad experience, I would be hard pressed to say it was an excellent one the portion sizes were a little hit and miss (very large side orders, but the starters felt a little small), and the service was not top notch. Being an Italian restaurant, I would have expected the waitress to know what a Negroni was, but that aside, things like the water not being left on the table and them forgetting to bring sides with the main course and needing to be reminded let the service down. It was not overly busy on the day we went, so there is room for improvement. There was nothing wrong with the food when it did arrive. Still, we didn't order anything out of the ordinary and having been to a few Italian restaurants recently, Bella Cosa, unfortunately, didn't figure high up on the places visited, which is a shame. Maybe it was an off day but overall as I say, although not a bad experience I couldn't say it was a great one."
