"I had a voucher from Gourmet Dining Smartbox by Buyagift and chose to dine at this restaurant last night. We were greeted by a friendly smile from our waiter Michael, but unfortunately, the service went downhill from there as he seemed very rushed. While I understand that he was busy, another waitress with long red hair was quite rude when we expressed our dissatisfaction and didn't seem to care about our concerns. On a positive note, the lamb pie we ordered was delicious. However, due to the poor service, we have no plans to return to this restaurant."

"After reading the reviews online my partner decided to bring me here to celebrate my new job. First impressions were bad, it’s extremely deceptive compared to how it’s pictured on the website, it’s very dark and gloomy, there was no obvious sign outside, especially as we came in the dark so we drove past it twice. The sign outside could do with some light decor. Prior to coming to Mango Room my partner called to book the table and informed them of my new job celebration and had asked the waitress if she could make the table look somewhat fancy/different to the other tables as a surprise for me in which she agreed to doing. When we arrived he asked her where the table was and she said “pick whatever table you want” meaning she completely disregarded his request. After receiving the menu that was broken and looked extremely cheap and flimsy for the prices they charge, I also realised the food was very overpriced. I asked the waitress for the set menu and she said that only gets provided for groups of people over 10. It didn’t state that on the website and can be misconstrued as false advertisement. I can not believe for one small portioned size jerk chicken it cost £13 alone you then have to pay extra for a side which is around 3.50 4.00. When reluctantly ordering the food which was Jerk chicken rice peas, we also requested coleslaw and dumplings, the waitress replied “we don’t do coleslaw or dumplings here, the owner doesn’t like it” ... it’s not about what the owner doesn’t like it’s about your food audience. How can you run a Caribbean restaurant without coleslaw or dumplings? It’s key in West Indian food. I found that to be very obscured. The waitress then said “it’s fine dining, we don’t do that here”... I did not know consuming dumplings and coleslaw meant it was not fine dining. Whilst waiting for my food, I asked for some water the waitress brought out a jug of water which seemed to have a booger stain on the side, very very off putting. When the food eventually came out in which waiting time wasn’t long because the restaurant wasn’t busy, the plates were extremely hot, it seemed as though the chef just reheated/microwaved the rice and peas causing the dish within itself to be piping hot to the point where I couldn’t even hold it and had to messily dish out the rice myself with the small spoon provided. The rice and peas were extremely overcooked and stodgy, there was hardly any gravy with the jerk chicken. The jerk chicken was undercooked, had no flavour whatsoever and did not fall of the bone with basic sweet pepper slice and red onions for decoration. The plantain was extremely undercooked, very burnt on the outside and tasted wet, clumpy and soggy on the inside I’ve never tasted plantain so renk. The waitress did give us complimentary tulip glasses of champagne, which was nice. My partner did say that he enjoyed his curry goat which was very tender, he had that with plain rice. Overall I feel this restaurant is extremely overrated, extortionate and wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. The only pros were the company I had and leaving. I would’ve much preferred going turtle bay, the atmosphere and decor is so much better and you get your monies worth. Turtle Bay is extremely commercial so this is a huge compliment to them as I’m not too fond of them either."

"My family and I came here for Sunday lunch on the 16/10/22. I had heard good things about the Roast so my expectations were quite high before arriving and my expectations were certainly met! Firstly, we had a lovely Man by the name of Mark...take our orders, he was very friendly and attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. Secondly, the dinner was absolutely stunning . I chose the Beef which literally melted in my mouth, accompanied by well seasoned veg and beautiful gravy. All of our meals were well enjoyed and all our plates clean. We then finished with desserts which were equally lovely. I opted for the Snickers cheesecake which was really nice and also tried my sister in laws pistachio bread and butter pudding which was also stunning! My only complaint is that I wished for a chocolate cake/brownie to complete my meal but Was nevertheless pleasantly surprised by the dessert I chose. I would definitely return again and hope to have the same smiley waiter again who, even though the restaurant was busy, still had enough time for us Thanks Mark!"

"fabulous family dinner last night! 4 adult and a teenager. friendly, happy staff and great service. can recommend the black pudding and speck starter. not locally we have never been a parmo and they are fabulous, huge with by-shalat, homemade chips and koleslaw. my son had the brownie, the fab slept and also tasted. very recommend brilliant worth, we were so far away! natives seem to be happy to have jackie back in the kitchen and we agree!"

"We went to black bull on Saturday for food was a bit skeptical as A pub overall , but omg the food was absolutely beautiful! Really really nice blew my expectations right out the water ! So much so we came back the next day for Sunday lunch and again was amazing tasty so much better than other places in Wetherby and at a fair price ! Only down fall is they don’t do kids portions or menus would appreciate if they took this into consideration ! Really impressed with the food and staff are so patient too ! "I discovered this restaurant on PitchUp, and to be honest, the photos didn't do it justice. I arrived early on Friday and was pleasantly greeted by H, the owner. He was a helpful and pleasant guy. I also met Lou, his partner, who was very pleasant as well. The pub itself is beautiful, a lovely old traditional country pub. I came camping for the weekend and the showers and toilets were very clean and well presented. The atmosphere was lovely. I would recommend visiting and seeing for yourself. Thank you, H and Lou."

"We had a really excellent meal last night at the Cree Inn, to celebrate my son 's 15th birthday. The staff were attentive and really friendly, the dining area was cosy (if a little cool) and comfortable, and the food was excellent. This is not 'pub grub ', it was excellent quality, beautifully cooked and delicious. There were 6 of us eating, we all had starters and mains, and 3 had desserts. With drinks included the bill was around £170, which these days offers really fair value, and for the quality it was excellent. Compliments to the chef, and all of the staff. Vegetarian options: We had 2 vegetarians in our group, and there was a good choice. Starters were halloumi or a cheesy tart, and I chose garlic bread instead. Mains included a delicious mushroom risotto, basil and tomato pasta and a couple of other options. Parking: There is a small car park to the rear with space for around 4 cars, or free roadside parking nearby. Kid-friendliness: We had 2 teenagers in our party, and there was another child eating with their family, and they were all very happy. I didn 't see any high chairs or other specific options for younger children, but we didn 't ask or go into any other rooms, and there is a children 's menu with plenty of choice."

"If you visit Rome you must come here! There’s usually a line to get into this place but it’s worth the wait! The carbonara was fantastic, the service was great and the atmosphere was amazing. "The 4 of us stopped in Pembridge last week for 4 nights. On the first night we wandered into this very old and quite remarkable pub. We had a few ales (which were lovely hand pulled pints) and decided to eat there. I cannot sing the praise of the food highly enough. Truly outstanding food. It was that good we ate there 3 nights out of the 4 we nights we stopped (it would have been every night if we hadn’t decided to have a curry outside of the village one night) Rosie in the kitchen and Jane front of house are a great team (alongside their lovely and attentive staff) We would recommend this pub to anybody who wants a superb hand pulled pint and fantastic food in a very charismatic old pub. "the most busy day of all time (Motherday) met toros steakhouse nottingham. worte can not explain how brilliant the service, eating, workers and management was. everything was on 10/10 bang! I have never come over excellent employees, especially the manager bless him so much he gave us drinks on the house as a good will for the geduld. it was so busy and waited for an hour (although we booked the service from the manager, was so polite and helpful. I highly recommend it. definitiw a 5 stars. keep it to all the workers in toros. my mother was very satisfied and it was a great mother's meal. many thanks."

"We stayed at this bed and breakfast for three nights and also had two evening meals. The location is lovely, and the locals often dine at the Inn, so it's recommended to book ahead for dinner. The breakfast and meals were fantastic, and even on a Monday evening, the restaurant was full. The rooms were of high quality, and the staff were excellent. The area is great for walking, with Craster just a 15-minute walk away. The hotel is also dog-friendly."

"I called this morning to reserve a last-minute table for lunch as a (very) belated Mother's Day gift. The restaurant accommodated me right away, and I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff. We were treated to appetizers and dessert, and we left completely stuffed! The food was not only delicious but also came in generous portion sizes. "We live in Pulborough and go to this restaurant regularly. We are very lucky to be able to walk there. The food is delicious. "The interior of the restaurant looks much more appealing than the exterior. Our room was on the top floor, which was easy to locate and access. It was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. However, the bathroom was a disappointment. While the walk-in shower was nice, the entire bathroom floor became completely soaked during showers, creating puddles everywhere—a safety concern with that type of flooring. The room had basic amenities, but I did enjoy the charm of the old-fashioned telephone! There wasn't much of a view, but we weren't really there to look out the windows, haha. The staff was excellent. We didn’t dine at the restaurant. The location is convenient for exploring the town and finding nearby restaurants. However, I didn’t feel it was worth the price for just one night."
