"The 4 of us stopped in Pembridge last week for 4 nights. On the first night we wandered into this very old and quite remarkable pub. We had a few ales (which were lovely hand pulled pints) and decided to eat there. I cannot sing the praise of the food highly enough. Truly outstanding food. It was that good we ate there 3 nights out of the 4 we nights we stopped (it would have been every night if we hadn’t decided to have a curry outside of the village one night) Rosie in the kitchen and Jane front of house are a great team (alongside their lovely and attentive staff) We would recommend this pub to anybody who wants a superb hand pulled pint and fantastic food in a very charismatic old pub. What a Gem! Mark, Annie, Steve and Helen"

The meal was fantastic, the quality and service were outstanding. The restaurant is a charming old pub with no modern touches like chrome or stainless steel. It was exactly what we were looking for.

Pembridge is a very pretty little village with interesting architecture and a lovely church and bell tower. The New Inn is a lovely place for lunch. We sat outside under what was originally the market place. The food was fantastic and plenty of it. Great coffee too.

Very homely place for a weekday lunch with family. A friendly greeting and attentive owner and staff. Lovely home cooked food and excellent sized portions. So much so, we were too full to sample the delicious sweets from the menu! The prices were very reasonable for a village pub. It used to be a regular place to visit 30 years ago and first time back after all those years ago did not dissapoint. Well worth a visit. View menu

Whenever we are in nearby Eardisland, we make sure to visit the New Inn. There is a beautiful cross country walk that connects the two villages. The food at the restaurant is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is charmingly Olde England, and the owner, Jane, is very friendly. While it may not be a budget-friendly venue, the quality of the food justifies the slightly higher prices. If you find yourself in the area, be sure to stop by and enjoy a meal at the New Inn.

The pub is lovely and the food is nice, but the woman who appeared to be in charge was awful. She showed preferential treatment to locals over visitors to the village. We were told to order drinks at the bar while locals could order at their table. She was rude and unfriendly. We had a baby with us and she was not very accommodating towards the child. When I tried to pay the bill, my card had some trouble and she made me feel like a criminal. After three attempts, my payment finally went through. I will not be returning to this establishment and do not recommend it to others. It is a shame because it is only this one staff member who brings down the otherwise good pub.

"Entering the stablishment was fine got told to sit anywhere.. after sitting for over 20 minutes in an empty restaurant, I personally had to approach the staff member to come and take my order… drinks came swiftly food not far afterwards.. the quality of food burger was just below average…. Ordered the bbq wings which are battered!. The battered wings where not fully cooked/ barely cooked then lathered (bbq sauce) and served waited awhile as we didn’t get any cutlery or napkins seeing as it was a burger… personally has to go and receive a hand fully of napkin’s from I’m assuming another member of staff…not once did anyone come and check until I acknowledged of other work suttlely that no body had one and ask how the meal went.. gave the server the food and she had left one culprit wings behind… the view to the kitchen was clear leaving the door open.. I seen sous chef and other chef brush off the stituation!. So I carried over the remaining wing still tact For them to examine… Borge the sous chef also supporting chef both of thier mouths dropped and walked away with their heads face sing down… I was greeted with either a manager/assistant or supervisor she didn’t announce who she was.. I got told the wings have been compt what more do you want…. I wish I expressed a perfectly cooked patty.. abhtger byn to fit the over cooked patty… oh yeah not to be served raw batter for the bqq wings!. Can still taste the raw flour now an hour later… if anyone wants picture or updates please message me on [hidden email]"
