"Restaurant Bar Grill is owned by Individual Restaurants, of which own a couple of restaurants around the city, including on in partnership with celebrity chef, Gino D 'acampo which is one of my favourite Italians in the city, this offers a different type of cuisine in a large, stunning building just off Deansgate on John Dalton Street, it is opposite Salvi 's. Walking in, it doesn 't feel like a restauraunt at all and I did struggle to find this place at first and I had to use Google Maps in my own city and only located it through it being opposite Salvi 's. The place inside is huge, you enter through a bar, upstairs you have the restauraunt and terrace area, keep going up and you have Head Office. The staff were so friendly and kind especially the host who escorted me upstairs and to my seat. The gluten free menu had some good options, I ordered a gluten free greek kebab, I was told it consisted of chicken, peppers, onions and it sounded pretty good so I ordered it, the service, however, was really slow and I must have been waiting over 20 25 minutes only to be served a gluten containing item instead, it was served with a form of bread, I had to check it was gluten free, only to be told No I asked them to remake the dish as it wasn 't gluten free to avoid cross contamination which they had no problem with, again this meant I had to wait even longer which was a pain considering the restauraunt was mostly empty, with only 3 or 4 tables of which looked like staff sitting there, probably from Head Office as they didn 't seem to be ordering food either, I totally understand waiting for food when it 's busy but considering it was virtually empty, I can 't understand why or at least I didn 't understand why until I tasted the food, I couldn 't understand why a stunning, large venue offering 50% off food could be empty, of course until the food. My kebab was awful and if it wasn 't for the staff making it free due to my long waiting time and the fact I didn 't want to spend much longer in the restauraunt, I would have sent it back. The chicken was bland, and it also had halloumi on which I wasn 't expecting, I bit into this and it tasted so bad, halloumi is one of my most hated foods anyway, accompanied by something which tasted like pico de gallo, this just put me right off my food regardless, I do think a better explanation either on the menu or from the staff at what food would be served is warranted, as I didn 't get what I was expecting at all. The portion size for the prize also is laughable, my dish normally would have cost £18.50, with no sides plus a service charge. 1* Considering how great the host and most of the staff were it 's a shame to give such a low rating, but I think it is warranted given the circumstances of the long wait times, poorly described terrible food and the fact I was given gluten by mistake and if I hadn 't of been suspicious and asked to confirm if my food was gluten free, I could have been really ill. By the time my dish was remade, I had lost all confidence in this place to be able to deliver a safe meal regardless."

"I recently dined at Maaya and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. I feel compelled to share my feedback to shed light on the issues I encountered during my visit. First and foremost, the behaviour of the staff was highly unprofessional. I was taken aback by their rudeness and arrogance, which left a sour taste in my mouth from the moment I entered the restaurant. The waitstaff seemed disinterested and dismissive, lacking the basic courtesy one would expect in a dining establishment. It is essential for a restaurant to prioritize customer service, and the behaviour I witnessed did not meet even the most minimal standards. Furthermore, there was a severe mistake with our order. We had ordered eight starters and eight main courses in total, but to our dismay, the staff mistook it for four main courses in total, instead of 4 main courses on each table, and started behaving extremely rudely with the ladies. They were trying to intimidate the ladies into ordering more dishes that what was required. Additionally, the service at Maaya was exceedingly slow. From the moment we sat down, it took an excessive amount of time for the waitstaff to approach our table and take our orders. The entire experience was plagued by long waits, which further exacerbated our dissatisfaction. Due to the aforementioned issues, my companions and I were left with no choice but to cut our visit short, which unfortunately disrupted the planned meeting we had scheduled. As a customer, I had high hopes for Maaya, but the overall experience fell short of even the most basic standards of hospitality. The combination of rude and arrogant staff, the mistake with our main courses, and the consistently late services left me deeply unsatisfied. Dining out should be a pleasurable experience, but unfortunately, this was not the case during my visit to Maaya. I sincerely hope that Maaya takes this feedback constructively and addresses the issues I've highlighted. Improving customer service, ensuring order accuracy, and streamlining the service timings are essential steps to regain the trust and satisfaction of diners. I hope to see positive changes in the future because every customer deserves a pleasant and memorable dining experience."

"We 'd been meaning to go to Crafthouse for a while and finally managed it for a Sunday lunch on a blustery Sunday the offer was very reasonable compared to some prices £25 for 2 courses. We came up in the private elevator from the road a nice touch; but then were left waiting in a corridor for 5 minutes whilst staff rushed around a half full dining room, then taken straight to our seats in the bar side of the restaurant we would have had a view of Boar lane and South Leeds if the blinds across the windows hadn 't;t all been fully down I can appreciate there would have been some glare earlier in the day, but the sun had already set when we arrived and so half our view was of greige. Service was a bit 'by the numbers ' there was a set order they worked in and we wouldn 't be allowed to order food at the same time as a drink even though we were ready. Starters were OK cured salmon was tasty and well presented, though the accompanying slice of brioche looked a little mean and unevenly toasted; the prawn cocktail was very salty prawns with a limp and tired salad and not enough Marie Rose. Mains were where it all fell apart we were offered beef or lamb either well done or pink and both settled on well, as medium was not allowed; Both meats arrived rare, and though tasty were very tough and gristly cuts, with a lot of visible fat around and through the meat. Veg were OK, though didn 't;t feel particularly freshly cooked. With a (very good) rum old fashioned at £18 the total came to £76 including a 12.5% service charge. Ambiance was noisy, with some dance ish music a bit too loud for my tastes perhaps closing the door on the very noisy group in the glassed off 'private ' dining room would have helped. I 'm glad we went, but there are much better options for the price, or less don;t think we 'll return."
