"me and a work colleague went to the cafe on a friday mirning having never been in mold before for food so didnt really know where to go and this place was the first we stumbled across, we went in and were served quickly, my mate ordered 2 sausage sandwiches one with a coffee and one with an orange juice and he went to pay, the staff member said its ok you pay later so we sat down and wsited for our food and drinks, it came out and it was pretty meagre in size and the drinks were nothing special, luckily for me my mate said he will pay and went up to pay and it came to £17 absolutely scandalous, if they had prices blatantly obviuos to customers i would have turned around and walked out but the fact they make you pay after you have consumed your food is a dirty tactic, absolutely disgusting behaviour I hope they go bust. onky gave this a one star rating because there was no option for zero."

We’ve been coming to Alexander’s since it first opened. Standards have been excellent throughout that time, not an easy feat. The coffee is superb, and consistent. Warm scones are a favourite, as is penne carbonara.

Called in this morning with two friends for breakfast, we all decided to have the small breakfast, it’s actually a good size, everything was freshly cooked and tasty, coffee was nice too, definitely go back again. Staff were friendly and attentive. View menu

We decided to treat ourselves to a Saturday morning breakfast and are so glad with our choice. We both had the big breakfast and the quality of food is very high and beautifully presented. Lovely staff and prompt service. Great way to start the day.

Called in at Alexander’s for a breakfast during the week. Decided to have the small breakfast. But changed the beans for another egg. Came with a piece of toast and a small glass of orange. Had an Americano coffee with hot milk. This was an extra charge on top of the cost of the breakfast. View menu

Avoid if you’re a vegetarian! I ordered penne carbonara which comes either with bacon or asparagus. I stated clearly to the waitress that I wanted asparagus not bacon and she repeated the order back to us correctly. It came with bacon and I sent it back, saying I was vegetarian and this wasn’t what I’d ordered. When the ‘correct’ order came, it didn’t have asparagus but I didn’t have the heart to send it back a second time. I ate some and discovered tiny pieces of bacon in it so it looked as if they’d just scraped the bacon off it and served it! I let them know and they said they’d tell the chef. I am shocked that this happened because I’ve always liked this place and trusted that it was veg...

"Went for a drive Father's day and ended up having a meal here, we rang and luckily got a table for 7pm. On entry to the Celtic Arms it was a high walled gated area with absolutely beautiful gardens which went on for some considerable area, it is a golf club as well and a beautiful golf course with golf buggies opposite the restaurant. Opposite the golf buggies their is a play area that as I recall was fenced off but attached to the restaurant as its also a bar. On arrival to the resteraunt the manager was extremely warm and welcoming and escorted us to a table just outside of the restaurant. During the time we where in the Celtic Arms I observed the waitress in the restaurant constantly clean and spraying the tables which was absolutely so reassuring since the last covid people have relaxed a bit to much. A young lady who was equally as welcoming came and as us for our order, it was a set three course meal at £23.99 which we felt was really reasonable for such a lovely place. Halfway through our time in the Celtic Arms the young lady went home from her shift that had intially taken our order and I pressume we then passed to another waitress. I felt we where out of the eye of the bar but not in the restaurant so got a little forgotten about, although once we called a member of staff to remove our plates these where remove immediately. The starters where delicious with plenty of prawns on the prawn cocktail and the pate had an amazing homemade chutney. The mains where lamb and beef with the whole meal being cooked to perfection and hot with vegetables cooked just right. A lovely touch we felt was the lady out of the restaurant came and asked us if everything was to our liking and was there anything of the meal we would like a little extra off, I dare say you won't get a ton of potatoes or veg but the gesture was very touching and to be honest the meal size was ample. The desert white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake we shared and both agreed it was delicious, and we then shared a cheeseboard which I had got on the three course set menu. The delicious chutney again appeared with varies cheeses, crackers and grapes. Our compliments where left with the manager and the staff with our thanks for serving and delivering multiple resteraunts can not quite achieve. Well done Celtic arms for your polite, professional manner and serving a delicious good quality meal which was ample portioned, reasonably priced in an excellent environment. Would definitely recommend this place it's beautiful and wins hands down on the last 20 plus places we have been over the last few months. We will most definitely be going back again."
