"My parents and myself were so excited to visit Allard for supper. But wow were we disappointed - there was nothing at all redeeming about our experience.First off, We waited over 20 minutes for the drinks and I'm positive they would never have arrived if we didn't remind them five times. Eventually our starters were served, followed by our drinks!Secondly, the decor was average, I understand they are trying to make it an authentic bistro but I think standing on a packed train in India would have been more comfortable: The chairs were similar in comfort to something you would have sat on a school, your elbows touched the neighbouring table and it was so hot we were all sweating.Thirdly, The food was below par. Not one of our courses was even worth a mention. And finally, the service was atrocious. We had to remind them we were still waiting for our mains, we then had to ask them to clear our finished plates and we basically had to beg for the bill. The bill was wrong but we were so anxious to get out of there we couldn't be bothered to correct it as we knew we would be there for another hour waiting.Plenty of other nice restaurants in Paris at a fraction of the price. Avoid."

Generally speaking, French service is rather taciturn, often with a high dose of lateral eye.

Very friendly and very simple, very family atmosphere. Simple and delicious cuisine. Unlawful. Thank you.

A unique taste discovery evening. Don't miss the frog thighs, a real greed, veal rice and the birch back. View menu

We had dinner at allard for dinner at our last betting party and I really would have liked to enjoy more.

Great culinary experience in a mythical place. Special mention for service including Aicha in the room and Thomas the sommelier.

We always have to book this restaurant when in Paris. You cannot fault the food and the service. There is never the feeling you are being rushed and everything is just perfect. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the food is just amazing. The steak is cooked to perfection however you like it. The chicken is just sublime and the frogs legs are to die for. There is nothing on the menu that I would not eat. Would recommend this to anyone and I certainly will keep coming back. View menu

Been here twice in its new guise and went to the Old Allard about 6-7 times. My wife and I officially decided it was close to the worst experience we had in 7 days in Paris eating at both Michelin and mid range brasseries etc.The service was pleasant but lacked charm and feeling. The food was very average for this level and the bread was discusting for Paris. Don't they go to other Alain Ducasse restaurants for a bit of a training exercise. They surely should. We also tried Benoit again and it was so much better, and the bread and butter divine. This place has long lost its lustre and don't be conned into joining the other tourists who know no better.
