"I was looking forward to dining at Allard since travel and restaurants have opened up. It’s part of the Ducasse group which should lend a sense of legitimacy. I ordered the prix fixe with only options for each of the three courses. The food was room temperature and bland—an anemic œuf meurette (just one small overcooked poached egg) and a tender but uninspired Osso Bucco, also room temperature. The almond garnish on the Tarte Normande were over roasted and bitter. Allard is an old and charming restaurant and has a loyal clientele. I hope Ducasse’s restaurant in the palace of Versailles is up to speed."

excellent dishes. We loved the cannette and its little potatoes to fall. And what about savarin with the Martinique rum? A delight! View menu

The service was very good. The wine and sommelier very great. But the food was very average, and honestly disappointing. Considering the prices, we had somewhat expectations which were not at all according to the food taste, we ordered the duck, beef and cheese.

I'd really like to give this place stars. We went here for a classical bistro experience and left disappointed. The wine list was unexciting with not enough bistro styled wines (good values from less famous regions), the menu seemed lacking of some classic dishes (no steak frites) and the service was rushed. Half of our skate wing was under-cooked. There are much better options. View menu

it was disappointing that the waiter did not point out that I had forgotten to order a side dish. No attention was paid to refilling wine when the glasses were empty. The main courses were okay, but disappointing in terms of taste for the expertise and price. The fact that my main course was cold was immediately apologised for and replaced with a new, hot one. The ambience was, as expected, authentic for this establishment.

We were pleasantly surprised by both the location and the cuisine. Excellent. The downside is that obviously the majority of guests are foreigners and people spontaneously address you in English, including handing you cards in this language. Even if this language is very familiar to us, it does not seem appropriate to me not to at least welcome guests in the language of the country. Apart from that absolutely perfect, excellent welcome, excellent cuisine (all the dishes were delicious and fresh. . Impeccable service despite the many people present. We will return with pleasure!
