"In the Altona Nord district of Hamburg, and a little out of the way, but definitely worth a visit for a number of reasons, not least for the varied and interesting selection of tapas available. The restaurant itself is contained in what looks like a greenhouse...from the outside, but even in winter it was kept warm enough. It was very busy, too a testament to its undoubted popularity and so a lovely ambience of happily chatting diners. You mark off the items you want from a checklist type menu. Be careful not to over order it’s easily done! We were a little guilty of this, but somehow we managed to leave very little behind. Of note were the fried calamari, the rabbit stew (generous portions and pork (I think! skewers there’s a variety of skewers to choose from, and they were all good but the pork were especially tender flavourful. To be honest, you’d be hard pressed to choose badly. The waitress we had was lovely, friendly, helpful, and genuinely made us feel like she was thoroughly enjoying her job in serving us. Top marks to her, and also the staff at the bar where you enter the establishment, who only enhanced the fun vibe of the place. We over ate and over drank. Thankfully I didn’t have far to stumble back to my hotel."

Hamburg, a port city in northern Germany, is known for its maritime heritage, vibrant culture, and local dishes like Fischbrötchen and Labskaus. It's a blend of old charm and modern vibe.
