"We dropped in for Sunday Roast missed the last of the beef, which was lucky because I got to have the lamb shank, which was just amazing! My wife had a stuffed roast squash. We loved the vibe, the dogs hanging with their owners Hi Jura! , the staff seemed gruff at first, but somehow magically transformed into super nice and friendly. Highly recommended, especially Sunday roast and Jura the local dog . Food: 5"

This is the perfect spot for dinner and drinks after a day of hiking. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, the food was delicious, and Andrea was extremely kind. And added bonus is the on-site distilled gin. This is a must stop if you’re staying in the area! Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Don't get a burger £20 unless you want it well done and bland. The lamb shank £26 sounded delicious but again it was par and laking in flavor. We had 4 beer total and the 2 dishes and our bill came to £70 so there was also a service fee added on as our beers were £4,30 x 4 plus 20 plus 26. Total waste of money. "We stayed at Toravaig house for 2 nights, dined in the restaurant once, and breakfast twice. First, the place is decorated very elegantly, yet comfortable. The colors are very relaxing and enjoyable. The staff is equally warm, friendly, professional, and work together very well. I am lactose intolerant, so we always have to work around this issue and some places are willing to work with, and others not so much. I'm thrilled to say that the chef at Iona restaurant will go above and beyond to make your dining experience amazing! My starter, a baitfish, was delicious and required no changes. The next course however was a cream soup. I was all ready to skip this, and wasn't upset because hey, that's my life. But then I was concerned when they brought us both soup spoons. To my surprise, they brought my husband the cream soup, and the waitress explained to me that since I could not have the soup the chef made me a leek and vegetable broth. What? It was amazing, so flavorful that I want to copy it and make it at home, and I truly felt honored. The chef just proved his awesomeness with this gem of a broth, which wasn't even on the menu, and the steak that followed just solidified his skills. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly! Breakfast was equally delicious. In casual conversation Rose had suggested the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, and then leave off the hollandaise sauce. It was so good, that I had it both mornings, and continued to recreate it whenever I could for the rest of our vacation. (Honestly, I'm still making this for breakfast at home). So, wonderful friendly place! You will be taken care of, in a bit fancy setting, yet so warm and friendly you will feel right at home. A unique blend that is worth your time for sure. Many thanks to Rose, Mary, the chef, the waitresses....when we make it back to Scotland we're coming for a stay!"
